Bill!!! You the man! Awesome challenge build, and congrats on the new shop. Also, thank you for the kind mention! You are too kind. I hope I get the chance to meet both of you at some point!
Its always cool to see two (or more builders) build the same thing. Getting to see the different ways they go about things. And seeing you challenge yourself to build something with out access to the tools you usually have at your disposal is encouraging for those of us without ready access to the same sorts of things.
Ah, nice to see a build more along the lines of how I always make things! Complete with 'where the heck is's' and 'I guess this thing will have to dos' lol.
firstly, congrats on the new shop... second, I kinda love that this video kinda shows the down and dirty side of prop making; no fancy tools or equipment, but you managed pretty well with just a knife and some contact cement
This was fantastic! I mean, you have much better stuff just lying around than I do, but, I get the point - and I'm pretty sure I could even accomplish this!
I'd pay to see that! But what project could be big enough for 2 of the best prop makers online??? You'd have to build a Hulkbuster or the cockpit of the Falcon or something LOL
Cool!! It shows how you can make something really nice with just simple tools!! Nice new workshop!! i cant wait to see it all setup! i hope theres going to be an area with all the stuff youve made on display!
Great video! So interesting to watch a master work when they have most of their tools taken away. Looks like you’re gonna need a new backdrop for the opening animation too.
Hi Bill! Not to be mushy, but when I was a kid I was very into Lego doing my own designs and drawing and stuff, and somewhere along the way (I'm 33 now) I kinda lost that, but I've been watching your videos a lot recently and they're really inspiring me to get back into creativity. So, thanks so much for that!
Congrats on new space! I was totally engaged watching the move of the Alec Steele Shop a while back. looking forward to following yours. You're living the dream PS great build btw
god speed I would imagine that they've probably finished it, but they have to send it to Australia which will take some time. Also, Jazza will want to make a video using it, and I'd imagine they'll release both videos at the same time so they can link to each other's video.
If only, Brian! We're still working on armor, but it's almost done. We'll have to think of a funny way to end the Part 2 video as Jazza then has to wait for his armor to arrive.
How you go about organizing your foam scraps? Especially in your older space with limited space for storage, I imagine it might have been difficult. I look forward to the tour once you are settled, gonna be awesome!
Dude! Congrats for your new shop!!!! I'm still working on my 3mx3m wokshop/office but Some day I'll have my own 'real' workshop! wish you guys the best!
I hope you will take the best bits of other maker spaces to create your own in the best most efficient way you can. Adam Savage's being the definitive one. (everything on wheels)
Hacksmith’s shield was the most functional Odin’s shield had the most attention to detail Punish’s shield was the most resourceful Well done to the three of you 👍
Hey Bill, since you're just getting set up in a new shop I figured it would be the best time to ask, what kind of lighting do you recommend in a cosplay shop environment, where color accuracy is important? I feel like overhead fluorescents with a neutral CT is an obvious answer, but you have a lot more experience so I was wondering what you think.
There's no right answer to this--you should light your workspace in the same way it will be presented. If it's a convention hall, daylight balanced is most likely. For film, tungsten color temp might be better. It's not uncommon on a film to ask the electric dept to put up a rough approximation of an on-set lighting setup for color tests.
Nice job with the limited tools and equipment and congratulations on a new workshop, I'm new to your channel and came from jazza but I'm surprised I haven't found you before because I love to make things and watch DIY channels, but i already love your videos
Oh my.. I know your working on Jazza's suit but could you do a video on making the Speakers mask? If you can't then I can understand, if you can, well then I'll appreciate it! It just depends on the fans.
Hi, I am hoping to make some armor for a character from fire emblem for NYCC and am just wondering how would you put together armor for women (like a chest plate)? It would really help!
This was such a nice video. Congratulations for your new place :D I hope you make a tour video. Also, I would like to ask you which is the mask that has worked best for you while you paint? The smell of thinner makes me dizzy even while being outside so I would like to know if that has happened to you and how do you manage it.
Yeah, I like seeing things like this since many people that enjoy making costumes often don't have the more 'advanced' tools. I enjoy making Halloween costumes, but don't have the amount of tools available to more serious cosplayers.
...what the f are you going to do with all that s p a c e? That place is huge! Man, i want a shop like that too... Are your props going to increase in size now? Can't wait to see how you arrange your stuff and what you will build in there!
I love how you're still making a video when you're not fully moved in yet. XD Seriously cool though. Also at 1:22 I spy a Gjally from Destiny. You're luck you have one. :D Also what song did you use on the first half of the video. I love it.
Why haven't you tried to make Optimus Primes Shield now it would be great to watch you make that Shield look it up online you'll find pictures of it pick the version of the Shield you think you can make and give it a shot ?.
Thankfully, insurance is covering everything. It was an old car battery, one belonging to the previous homeowners, that was the cause. PSA: get rid of your old car batteries.
Bill!!! You the man! Awesome challenge build, and congrats on the new shop.
Also, thank you for the kind mention! You are too kind.
I hope I get the chance to meet both of you at some point!
Odin Makes I hope he sees your comment. I would love to watch a collaboration video!
Odin Makes imagine a collaboration with you two. Make it happen :)
We'd love to meet you, too! Your builds are super awesome.
I would be so excited for this.
Odin Makes oh my god ma favorite prop makah
Its always cool to see two (or more builders) build the same thing. Getting to see the different ways they go about things.

cool build, love how this proves you don't need all the fancy stuff to get great results
You are really slumming it haha. New digs look awesome! Thanks for showing that you/anyone can do a quality build with minimal tools
This was fantastic! I mean, you have much better stuff just lying around than I do, but, I get the point - and I'm pretty sure I could even accomplish this!
I bet you can!
I love it when one of my favorite channels gives a shout out to another of my favorite channels. I need a punished props/ odin makes team up video!!
That would be so rad!
I'd pay to see that! But what project could be big enough for 2 of the best prop makers online??? You'd have to build a Hulkbuster or the cockpit of the Falcon or something LOL
Nice Bill! Congratulations on the new shop .... that's huge and also, not a basement ... when is the shop warming fondue party????
We'll dip chunks of foam in liquid PlastiDip!
Congrats on the new shop. Can't wait to see what it's like when it's set up.
Cool!! It shows how you can make something really nice with just simple tools!! Nice new workshop!! i cant wait to see it all setup! i hope theres going to be an area with all the stuff youve made on display!
So stoked for you guys to have a shop!! Looks like an amazing space!!
The first thing a new shop needs is a sign ! I'm dying to see yours.
Congratulations on the new shop!! Awesome space, can't wait to see the layout.
Congrats on the new shop! Can't wait to see it all put together!
Great video! So interesting to watch a master work when they have most of their tools taken away. Looks like you’re gonna need a new backdrop for the opening animation too.
We're gonna need a LOT of new things! =D
Congratulations on your new shop! Can’t wait to see it up and running!
That's really fantastic Chris! =D
Love your builds. I made a similar shield with craft foam and used servos to make it open and close. No where near your level of weathering though.
Wow! An old school vid! No lasers, vectors, or even giant saws. Love the new workspace though, hope you can fill all that space
We have some BIG plans to fill this big space. =)
So excited for you guys moving into your new shop!
I'm so happy that i can watch the growth of punished props... I hope you can tour us on the new shop
Congrats on the new space... can't wait to see how you pack everything into the new space...
Congratulations on your new shop
Get that man a Shield!
WE NEED TO GET THAT MAN A SHIELD! I agree with you man.
You inspired me to make a prop of my own! You guys are amazing.
It's a sword from a story I'm writing
Also the lighting is so much better. Congrats on the new space!
Super excited for your new shop Bill! Man, I really would love yo visit and make something with you. RWBY related of course.
Congrats on new space! I was totally engaged watching the move of the Alec Steele Shop a while back. looking forward to following yours. You're living the dream PS great build btw
Oh man we LOVE Alec's videos. His shop is a dream shop and we'll use it as an inspiration for some of the things we'll do in our new space.
Hey i really like what you do!! but i was wondering: what can i use to glue foam togheter if i don't have contact cement?
when will you do part two of Jazza's costume
god speed I would imagine that they've probably finished it, but they have to send it to Australia which will take some time. Also, Jazza will want to make a video using it, and I'd imagine they'll release both videos at the same time so they can link to each other's video.
ya... that makes sense
If only, Brian! We're still working on armor, but it's almost done. We'll have to think of a funny way to end the Part 2 video as Jazza then has to wait for his armor to arrive.
Punished Props Academy
At least you're honest, keep up the great job guys ( ^ω^ )d
Congrats PPA, awesome new space.
How you go about organizing your foam scraps? Especially in your older space with limited space for storage, I imagine it might have been difficult. I look forward to the tour once you are settled, gonna be awesome!
I have one bin that I fill with scraps. Once it's full I throw out all the smallest scraps.
"Bill Doran built this it in a cave! Out of scraps!" "Sir, were not Bill Doran."
Haha! That's perfect. =)
slow makes everyone epic! Congrats on the new shop
It sure does, thanks Pat! =D
Looks like the new place has some good lighting. No more working in a dungeon
YAYYY NEW SHOP!!!!! And love the shield. You can defeat (almost) ANY DRONE!!!!
Woohoo! We're prepared for the robot uprising!
Congrats on the new shop, can’t wait to follow your adventures there :)
oh em gee, Bill! That new shop space is amazing! So much envy... ;_;
I Love Your Job You Are The Best At Your Work And I Came From Jazza's Channel
Shlok The Gamer Can, You, Stop, Talking, Like, This.
Uhuwek I, Did, Not, Talk, Like, This.
Shlok The Gamer Well You Did Talk Like This Though
Uhuwek Well Typing Is This Is Now A Habit For Me So Im Sorry If You Don't Like It😞
Shlok The Gamer Well that's ok I just think it looks like you're saying a word, then taking a pause, then saying a word
Dude! Congrats for your new shop!!!! I'm still working on my 3mx3m wokshop/office but Some day I'll have my own 'real' workshop! wish you guys the best!
Thanks! =D
Evacuate the old workshop, engage all defences, and get this man a shield!
These are so well made. Hey uh can you make Hank Pym’s/ Scott Lang’s Ant-Man suit?
i have two questions how long do you think it would take to do a predator costume and how deep should i cut for the pieces of foam and the details
The new shop looks great.
Thank you! We're pretty stoked about the shop :)
Can you make the infinity gauntlet next?it would be awesome
Ace 101 gr8 ida
Congratulations on the new shop!
I hope you will take the best bits of other maker spaces to create your own in the best most efficient way you can. Adam Savage's being the definitive one. (everything on wheels)
That's the plan!
So happy for you guys to land in the new space. Congrats!
Awe, thanks Andrew!
Hacksmith’s shield was the most functional
Odin’s shield had the most attention to detail
Punish’s shield was the most resourceful
Well done to the three of you 👍
That's a pretty great group to be listed with!
Immersive Intro ♥ 11/10

Daylight colour temp LED tubes are amazing! The light just feels so much better than the flourescents I had in the shop!
I will do a video on that when we set it all up in the new space.
Sweet, thanks Bill! Congrats on the new space, man.
Nice job with the limited tools and equipment and congratulations on a new workshop, I'm new to your channel and came from jazza but I'm surprised I haven't found you before because I love to make things and watch DIY channels, but i already love your videos
That’s so cool. When in doubt, MacGyver it.
I can live by that motto.
Good job, any news on foamsmith 3
Oh my..
I know your working on Jazza's suit but could you do a video on making the Speakers mask?
If you can't then I can understand, if you can, well then I'll appreciate it!
It just depends on the fans.
This was really cool
But please make an infinity gauntlet :)
Your new shop is so incredibly well lit.
Hi, I am hoping to make some armor for a character from fire emblem for NYCC and am just wondering how would you put together armor for women (like a chest plate)? It would really help!
Foam breast cups can be "dished". Here's an example: ruclips.net/video/YbQ2gb_QvFs/видео.htmlm17s
its great seeing you reference odin, i love seeing good channels recognise eachother. btw collab with odin :)
I want to! Odin is awesome. =D
have you seen the hacksmith's videos on the new shield? they're super cool
I haven't seen that one yet. I'll check it out soon.
Perfect choice of music :)
congratulations on your new shop. it will be great.
We're so excited!
Should do Stormbreaker. I'm sure he'll get to it.
This was such a nice video. Congratulations for your new place :D I hope you make a tour video. Also, I would like to ask you which is the mask that has worked best for you while you paint? The smell of thinner makes me dizzy even while being outside so I would like to know if that has happened to you and how do you manage it.
I usually just use masking tape. Here's a video on the subject: ruclips.net/video/ooBOKsNnxZE/видео.html
Thank you so much :D
I was waiting for something from Infinity War :0!!
Ps. Congrats on the new shop, Bill!
Thanks!
really cool to see some rather 'simple' prop making here
always interesting to work around restrictions like that^^
It was a fun challenge! We'll have to try more of those.
Yeah, I like seeing things like this since many people that enjoy making costumes often don't have the more 'advanced' tools. I enjoy making Halloween costumes, but don't have the amount of tools available to more serious cosplayers.
Do you get a pool in the new shop like you had in the old one?
HA! Nope, no pool.
Nice Shop!!!!
Oh my god the infinity gauntlet would be so cool
I like the back to basics video!!
Hey Punished props I know you (Bill) are a Destiny fan (also me) can you show us how you made the Lord Shaxx armor please. :)
Pah - If I had limited tools I could easily ... wait a second! Great work - thank you for sharing! Cannot wait to watch the movie! Cheers! JM
I think you should make krato's new axe
You've got the badass beard already
Plus... it's a great excuse to make more foam stuff
so with a new shop it means you are going to start puting out even more videos for me to obsese over right? lol congrats tho keep up the amazing work
You know it!
Very cool! I guess this gives you a feeling of the rest of us, not sure if you have anything you need. :D
Make Stormbreaker!!!
AWESOME SPACE!!!! it just got real! LOL
Do you and your wife do this as a job. I would love to make props like these for a living
Yes it's our full time job. Here's more info: punishedprops.com/business-talk/
You should do a tutorial on making a foam infinity gauntlet
Next time you have the opportunity to challenge your crafting skills, try making a foam prop without the wonders of contact cement
Enjoy the new shop Bill!
Thanks Hugo! =D
Bill I have a second idea. You can also make the Infinity gauntlet from Avengers infinity war.
Great job!
Liked for the intro alone man. 😂
...what the f are you going to do with all that s p a c e? That place is huge! Man, i want a shop like that too...
Are your props going to increase in size now? Can't wait to see how you arrange your stuff and what you will build in there!
We do want to make some larger than life costumes!
I love how you're still making a video when you're not fully moved in yet. XD Seriously cool though. Also at 1:22 I spy a Gjally from Destiny. You're luck you have one. :D Also what song did you use on the first half of the video. I love it.
We just can't stop...
Why haven't you tried to make Optimus Primes Shield now it would be great to watch you make that Shield look it up online you'll find pictures of it pick the version of the Shield you think you can make and give it a shot ?.
“EVACUATE THE CITY ENGAGE ALL DEFENSES AND GET THIS MAN A SHIELD”
THERES SO MUCH NATURAL LIGHT NOW
Isn't it glorious?!
Have one printing on my 3D printer atm.
That shop space tho! OuO
I need to rebuild my own shop. Lost it recently to a house fire.
(No one got hurt. The biggest casualty was the work shop)
Awe that's such a bummer. =(
Thankfully, insurance is covering everything. It was an old car battery, one belonging to the previous homeowners, that was the cause.
PSA: get rid of your old car batteries.
Saw someone else make this prop on anthers channel. It was very functional.
dragon head katana from highlander! yay!
Liked The Video
👊👊👊👊👊👊
Nice !
Dude you should repaint a drone
That's a great idea!
Good vid!
And get this man a shield
