To make a better distinction between the player barrels and the two barrels on the table, you should change the player barrels to shulker boxes matching the player colours. :)

33:07 Correction, Doc: What you describe here is a straight flush. A royal flush is specifically an Ace high straight flush, so Ace, king, queen, jack and 10 of the same colour. That hand can never be beaten.
But it doesn't matter, because a straight flush with ace and king would be the highest straight flush anyway, if royal flushes didn't exist.

I never painted Etho as a gamblin' man. Scar however... I had a feeling that was the case. I mean, he played with the GOAT and got the horns several times.
I'm not terribly surprised. It's hard to develop an understanding of game theory like Etho has without a little bit of a taste for risk.
Helps that losing diamonds on HC is not actually much of a risk at all+
I mean Etho has stated rougelikes are one of his favorite game genres so it isnt too surprising

IDEA FOR CASINO: instead of having the Allay bring the discarded cards to you have it bring it to a note black that has a hopper next to it. This will make it so you don’t have to manually put the cards into the discard barrell

That poker game was like herding cats. Scar having no clue what is going on rules wise, but accurately reading the other players to the point of winning a massive pot, was such a Scar thing to do. Impressive how well the redstone facilitated this game!

Fun episode! In case you didn't notice, at 37:05 you accidentally placed one of your face-down cards into the flop while you were dealing for Etho... Maybe it is worth thinking of ways the dealer could keep their face-down cards separate.

I love how the last poker match with Scar and BDubs ended up with both their face cards on the table!
As shown by a few hermits blowing their cash in the first round, you need an ante chest that you put X amount of diamonds in and you get X amount of chips out. A stack of diamonds gets you 1200 worth of chips, or whatever amount, and these chips are iron and gold bars with emeralds and they are worth 10, 25 and 50 coins respectively. That way when they blow their load they can buy back in and just have a sorter that moves the houses cut into a seperate chest 😊👍
I like how the villager who runs the laundromat and controls the secret door is some really shady looking guy with an eyepatch. Also very nice that he's got a diamond on his belt, as if that's some sneaky hint.
Kelp blocks are one of my favorite “posh wallpaper” blocks. I love this build so much…gotta borrow the pots under carpet for kitchen counters that’s amazing!

Such long projects are always nice to have. You can always expand them and add so many more details or features. I think you've found this thing in this build.

Doc, you should add a counter to the game that only allows the next round to start if 32 cards where returned to the barrel. That way there is less of a chance that someone misses a card in their inventory.

Predictions: Once Cleo figures this thing out she will rule this whole thing and Scar becomes a loan shark.
"Has everyone folded?" Maybe an indicator for each round, who folded so its easier to now who is still playing. Something the players can turn on/off once they fold.
I love how doc doesn’t treat his audience like young kids , like yes kids play this game and hermitcrafr is ‘family friendly’ , but I’m 24 and love mc, unfortunately I haven’t played in a while as find it hard to find the time but I love the vids and do stuff whilst watching! Thanks Doc

My personal head-cannon for why Docm77 is NOT fluffy:
The Docm77 Minecraft character appears to be a cybernetically enhanced creeper-man hybrid as indicated by his Minecraft avatar and his RUclips profile picture.
Therefore his skin should be a mix between a man and a creeper.
What skin does a creeper have?
As we have no real life animal equivalent to a creeper, we have to guess. My guess is that creepers have a pig-like skin (similar to human skin) .
Why?
Because of the origin story of the creeper. The creeper was first created by Notch when he accidentally incorrectly assembled a Minecraft pig’s character model and gave it the texture of oak leaves.
Therefore, I think that Docm77 has normal human / pig skin with a leaf texture.
Keep in mind that the goat horns were a later addition. Probably another artificial addition.
You could pacify a pillager or 2 and have them as “security”

A Underground bar, hosted by the Hermit-Clan (or what ever mafia is there) lives on immersion. Smoking is one of these things, that add to the immersion
For the higher booth that can't see the stage because of the chandelier, if you can't find a good place to display the poker tournament trophy, maybe that spot would work
Love the back-room idea. Could also make sense for one of the booths to be the Goatfather’s personal booth to oversee the joint, with access from the back-room? The centre one over the door maybe, with some unique, special decorations for “the boss”. Great video as always Doc!

You know if they just used the game they could have created an incredible movie.
Have someone like Scar. Someone who plays the game regularly but is disabled and needs machines to survive. Have someone like Tinfoil Chef was in the hospital too. On the other end of life but also dealing with medical issues.
They play on a server together. AI for some reason takes control of the ender dragon. Controlling the game and the machines the two players need to survive.
They notice when they go under water in the game. Also in real life they start suffocating. When they don't eat in the game. In real life the AI cuts off their feeding machine. If they die in game they die in real life.
90% of the movie could be literally game footage. To defeat the evil AI ender dragon they have to team up with each other and their server mates who don't suffer from the same.
Throughout the game normal hostile mobs don't act normal. Because they are controlled by the AI ender dragon.
The AI ender dragon isn't stuck to the game code either.
Maybe have it be the start of a server season. Because there's lots of people who play Minecraft like this hermitcraft server. So everyone has to advance together.
Anyone noticed that Etho's hand at the end when he forgot to opt out was a pair of kings, so he would have won 😂
Give Joel trimed armor as a advertisement for the trims shop.

There is a simple solution to any sculk sensor trouble: 3 layer walls and ceiling with wool in the middle.
You should go get a laundry permit to really sell the facade of the laundromat
If you didn't know, you can undye leather armor with cauldrons by right clicking on them while holding dyed leather armor while the cauldron has water in it.
Maybe you can automate it so people can put their dyed leather armor in a chest or something and it auto-undyes itself. Maybe make it cost a single sand or something.
Suggestion: you could build a money changer with crafters in the poker den. That way you could just quickly change between diamonds/diamond blocks.

Doc, you should add a hidden card collection for the allay (with a hopper minecart or something) which connects to the normal collection system so that you never need to place them manually, and just have a silent note block be constantly played so the allay throws it's stuff there. Sculk shriekers only shriek when triggered by a player vibration. So you can do a condition where if the vibration activates the sensor but not the shrieker, then you know it wasn't caused by a player. That will get rid of the vibrations from elytra and armor and stuff.
I laughed so much during the poker bit. I cannot WAIT for more poker content when it's all finished !!!
