I wish this had been available a few months ago. I bought 2 of the metal ones at £160 each, one for my pc setup and one for my ps5 setup downstairs. I could have got 2 for less than the price of one of the TH8A's !!
The th8a is soooo much better. Maybe one th8s and one th8a would have been perfect combo for you.. So one to have for life 'th8a' and the other to toss around and let your friends use 'th8s'.
thats cool like me and my little brother have buyed a t300Rs gt to drift but the th8a was too expensive but know i know that we can buy a th8s fpr 60dollars !
Not really because hard mounting is probably adding another 20 in retail price. Would i have prefered it? Yes. But for that price you can't really complain imo. Still better than the 50€ Logitech one
So they took their high quality th8a and said "Let's make it a totally plastic POS, remove features like sequential shift mode, and hard mounting, and charge for it!" No thank you.
@thegirthquake8574 Yes it is, it's only like 10 more than those shotyy ebay usb shifters. It uses the same hall affect sensors as the Th8A. It is amazing for the price
Uses the same Hall effects sensor headsets exist for a reason and for 120 less dollars I wouldn’t care about looks. Also it feels way better with the knob and shorter throw.

I bought the full metal one in 2016 for 85$ here in europe. Good deal, still works great. Now it's 200$.

I have a better solution than logi rubber bands and cheaper than $48 kit. Stay tuned :) BTW the kit is for TH8A, it won't work with TH8S.

Only thing im concerned about are the forks that the shaft moves around. Seems that those are plastic too and will eventually break off.

Yes. Thrustmaster master sells a sequential kit that has a new knob, so it must come off. What else will fit it, idk?
The kit is for TH8A, it won't work with TH8S.
I found another video where a man changes the knob, so it is possible.

Unfortunately there is no hard mounting for cockpits, only the built in desk clamp.
