This premeditated murderer should not still be alive.

Thank God
Sean Lennon: "[My father] was dangerous to the government. If he had said, 'Bomb the White House tomorrow,' there would have been 10,000 people who would have done it. These pacifist revolutionaries are historically killed by the government."
"Anybody who thinks that Mark Chapman was just some crazy guy who killed my dad for his personal interests is insane, I think, or very naive," he says.

Brilliant interview by Larry King. No confrontation or judgements - just direct, calm questions, because he knows he's talking to a very dangerous psychopath who doesn't think he's done anything wrong.

@Dan Rush you are sick, dude, and should be in jail with this freak. The humanity lost a great man.
@Dan Rush just two things.
1. God does not exist, wake up, it is bullshit.

I can imagine how much anger Yoko, Sean, Paul and Ringo feel towards Mark Chapman, if they met him face to face in prison, I'm sure they would spit in his face, that's exactly what any Beatles fan would do to him, that scumbag must remain in prison until the day he dies, it's no more than he deserves
@@PeterWTaylor you're right
Damn right dude PERIODT.
He was angry at John Lennon because of his statement, "Beatles are more popular than Jesus". He was also furious because John Lennon said that he does not believe in Jesus and Beatles. Chapman did not understand the concept of liberation, just like Holden confused the phrase "Catcher in the rye"; the book that he was carrying with himself at the time he shot John Lennon. The character Holden goes all dark after going for ice skating to the Rockefellar Centre. Chapman said, 'Who does he think he is, saying these things about God and heaven and the Beatles?'
I'm a Christian myself, and it baffles me that Mark thinks he can justify his act on a religious basis. Even God said "Thou shalt not kill." Also, if you disagree with someone or if what they say angers you, you can just not buy their products anymore. That's the easiest thing to do. You can't kill someone just because you disagree with them, or think they're a hypocrite.
Brittney Brisbin exactly. Mark killed my idol that night all because John had an opinion. Mark needs to rot in hell.
That's why he is called a psychopatic
let im out and see what is going to happen
I agree with you...Let him out..You don't murder the greatest Rock & Roll singer in the world and think your life will normal after you're released from prison. I'm sure Mark Chapman knows this too..

He wont kill anybody. He will be killed by those who cannot let go of the past.
John Lennon was my favourite though 😭😭😭😭😭😭
This person should remain in custody for as long as he lives. He should never go free. John Lennon was a great artist, and wrote some of the best music of the 20th century, and his most basic freedom of life was taken away, by this callous creep. This guy killed John, and deeply hurt millions of others who loved Lennon. Never let him go free.
Yoko "Ran for cover" Georges wife Olivia fought back the attacker in Friar park. The critical difference between the beatle wifes.
Also, gun and knife. It's potentially effective to try and fight off a knife attack; a bit ludicrous to think you'll stand a chance against a gun. That's what makes Jose's actions all the more laudable -- but still, the choice of weapon is another critical distinction in these two cases.
The critical difference is that the guy also attacked Olivia... don’t get me wrong I can’t stand yoko either but can’t blame her for this
It would be a natural reaction to take cover. Don't beat Yoko up. It's still terribly painful 39 yrs later.

@@ceilconstante7813 painful. Yes it's hard to sleep on all the money
What a sick excuse for a human being. No remorse whatsoever. Craziness!! A rock legend is gone because of this waste of oxygen.
R.I.P Larry King and R.I.P John Lennon
Not remorseful. Will definitely do it again . He says he prays.. then he denies all the prayers when he says deep down he knew he would commit murder.
It’s possible to do heinous acts, purposefully and feel guilt and remorse. What I think, as a severe and hardcore fan of John Lennon, this loser was so stuck on this idea of killing someone/killing Lennon that it became an obsession and habit to try it. I think this obsession distorted his way of thinking and the only hindsight he had was killing Lennon and nothing beyond that. To him it wasn’t “severe” because well, he’s obviously mentally ill but also he had been thinking about it so much he became desensitised to it so when he finally did it, the shock and adrenaline knocked him fully out of this obsession and that’s why he described it as “all the evil leaving him” now not to believe everything he says but I think the killing was a catalyst for him but sadly it was murder. He doesn’t deserve to be released because he took a life - I do believe he is remorseful and suffers guilt. I believe he also wishes he didn’t do it daily but he did. The fact he has sympathy for what he did should be noted and recognised as a win; he’s truly suffering for his actions rather than not caring. We and John have won while this loser suffers.
Death is to good for him he deserves to rot in jail forever.
Why? If his victim was not a celebrity he would have been out several years ago.
There is just something in me that seems like this is all wrong and not the truth.
WHY?!? If you killed a person because he is rich you have to kill eyery musician today. Its music business Mark!!! This is insane!!!
This guys insane and I feel bad for John Lennon, He didn't deserved to die, he didn't even harm or do anything to Mark David Chapman. And I still can't believe John Lennon died, I understand Mark David Champman but man.
I was Facebook friends with Paul Goresh and he suggested we meet the next time I was in the USA. Sadly he passed away around 5/6 years ago and I never got to meet him.
He absolutely despised John's murderer, hated him with a passion.
Paul was a top guy and he was probably more affected by John's murder than anyone else in the world - excluding John's family and Yoko.
RIP Paul and John.
I give peace a chance...NOW HATE ME FOR THIS.
I cannot feel the Yoko Ono Rage against him but if I gonna be murdered, I will remember my words, *this* words!
He ought to be ashamed of himself and be hanging up by his own bullocks
He shud never be on film. He is enjoying the attention and fame. A terrible night for the world not for Chapman. John was kind to him. He ruined the Beatles reunion and Johns comeback plans and life....Hope he dies in prison, before they release him...
He clearly didn't think that he was going to kill him, he was just being nice because I think he was the only one around asking to see if he wanted something else cause he had time to do so. He would've made precautions if he actually thought he was going to kill him.
Also Chapman's a weird fuck who was acting weird. I bet he didn't even say "Thank you" or close the conversation in any way, and Lennon was reacting to that.
John was unnerved, and he may have said something to the producer in the studio that night. He didn't think he was going to be shot, but he thought Chapman was strange. I suspect when he saw him again, he was even more worried and he began to walk quickly.....but it was too late...........
@@knockedoutloaded279what did John say to the producer?

so he could be on the Larry King show
As bad as this person is, i think its sick that he's treated differently to other murderers who are released. As if Lennon's life was worth more.
aye!
killing the john Lennon for no reason
Sadly
I never really understood why this guy murdered John - I just watched a video entitled I Killed John Lennon the Mark Chapman Tapes which makes sense of it. He worshipped John, became a hippy then became a born again Christian and ditched being a hippy. He sees himself as a failure the identifies with the character in The Catcher In The Rye who hates phoneys. By pure chance he comes across a book about Lennon and fixates on him as a phoney. Lennon then becomes the root of all ills and Chapman decides to kill John because John has what he wants. It was claimed that Chapman is a narcissist - that explains a lot. Not everyone can be John Lennon or a famous person. This idea that you are a 'nobody' because you are not famous seems very odd. If you try to do good in your life then you are not a nobody. Well, Chapman certainly obtained fame - but at what cost? To be universally hated and to be behind bars for the rest of his life was a heavy price to pay. His parole has been rejected for the 12th time this year. Does he believe it was worth it? I wonder if this guy had discovered his own talent and gained appreciation and fulfilment for his own abilities, if this would have made any difference to him. ruclips.net/video/SbjDOggOGZE/видео.html
20 years ? were they kidding ? 5 Deliberate Shots.
Paul Francis each shot from the gun should be a extra 50 years added on to a life sentence!
Mark Chapman doesn't deserve parole.
no he doesn't hope they deny him again for the 11 th time in August of 2021.
He also denied us all a musical future with John Lennon's music. No tears for this guy, sorry.
I don’t understand why he was only charged with second-degree murder when the murder was pre-meditated.
Probably because the bar for First Degree Murder is pretty high and the prosecution knew Second Degree Murder was a slam dunk.
@@toucansam3Yes, then he'd just be denied parole over & over again. Chapman can never be released

what I always found strange is why did Yoko not wait for John? had they been walking close together, she could of been shot aswell. so her not waiting for him I'd say saved her life
