Fried Pork Chops And Gravy Recipe:
    Ingredients

4-6 Thinly Sliced Center Cut Pork Chops
    7 Fresh Whole Mushrooms,sliced
    1 Medium Onion,chopped
    1 Cup Vegetable Oil
    1 Tbs Butter Or Margarine
    3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
    3 Tbs Corn Starch
    3 Cups Chicken Broth
    1/4 Cup Buttermilk
    1 Tsp Minced Garlic
    1/2 Tsp Gravy Master
    1 Tsp Seasoning Salt
    1 Tsp Adobo Seasoning
    1 Tsp Garlic Powder
    1 Tsp Onion Powder
    1 Tsp Parsley Flakes
    1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
    1/2 Tsp Thyme
    Instructions
    1. Place pork chops in a bowl. Add 2 tbs of vinegar and 1 tbs of salt, then cover with cool water.
    2. Slice mushrooms and cut onion into thin medium size pieces.
    3. Rinse pork chops off well then drain water.
    4. Season pork chops with seasoning salt, adobo seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley flakes, pepper, and thyme, then massage seasonings in well
    5. Coat pork chops with flour, then sit aside for at least 15-20 minutes.
    6. Place pan over medium heat and add oil.
    7. After about 3 minutes, pour remaining flour over pork chops, shake off excess flour, then add to the frying pan.
    8. Fry pork chops for 6-7 minutes per side (only 2 at a time), then sit aside on paper toweled plate to drain excess oil.
    9. Drain oil from pan (leaving the remnants from the pork chops in the pan), then place pan over high heat.
    10. Add margarine or butter.
    11. Add onions and mushrooms.
    12. Add minced garlic and cornstarch, then stir in well.
    13. Combine your broth and buttermilk, add to the pan, then stir in well .
    14. Reduce heat to medium heat.
    15. Add gravy master and cook until gravy reaches your desired level of thickness (stir periodically as gravy cooks).
    16. Add pork chops to gravy and coat well.

The reason most people coating don't stick to the meat is because 9/10 the oil isn't hot enough or they over load the pan so it cools off the oil so it boils in stead of a hot fry just something I've learned over the years

For anyone else who sees this it's not only that, you have to leave it to sit for a while before frying. If you coat it and fry it immediately it's more likely to fall off.

I've heard if you need sour milk and don't usually keep it at home that you can make it using regular milk and vinegar. There's a video on it but I forgot who made it . If it does work it'd save money and time though.

Phillyboy good show.To solve your gumy flower issue you should just pour the flour in a plastic bag and shake and you wont even have to get your hands that dirty. This way you can still put your seasonings in your flour before you fry or bake your meat.

    • @purplebutterfly210
      @purplebutterfly210 4 года назад

cbabyz55 instead of rubbing all the seasonings directly into the chops do you recommend just adding it to the flour in a plastic zip lock? TYiA (first time going to make them)

I have to wonder if this guy ever proof reads his recipes. There's no mention of apple cider vinegar in the ingredients, and he never tells you when to add the buttermilk. I guess you have to make assumptions.
