She's not a telemarketer - it's car manufacturer calling clients to know if dealership provides good service for them or QA department of the dealership itself

I know, Darwin. Did she try to sell you anything? No. It was just a service followup phone survey for quality control purposes.
Car makers are often surveying clients of certified dealerships to know if dealership is any good. Internal QA of dealership can do this too to improve the process.
All you had to do is to say "please don't call me anymore" and they add you to internal do not call list (every dealership has to maintain one by law) and they won't call you anymore until something really important like a part recall.
Just explaining for you how this works in case you didn't know and get these calls again. Of course you may want to actually get ones to mock them again - I don't care, it's their job

Yeah. She was. It's super rare to get these types of calls nowadays. You answer their survey, other telemarkers retrieve the info from the survey and see how they can scam you.

mursie100 They don't ask personal information because they already know who you are. Today, you can prank call telemarketers and make up a psuedo-identity and they will still try to scam you because they think that you gave them real information. That's why at the beginning, the lady knew what car Tom drove and what survey he filled out. This is telemarketing because the information that Tom "gave" them will go to someone who is a scammer. But it is a different type of telemarketing and it's very rare to see this nowadays :)

But I don't understand, what did this telemarketer lady benefit from asking Tom to rate services ?
If they already have his information, what financial gain they get from asking him to rate services.
The lady benefits from the money that earned once she gives out the survey information to other telemarketers. So they'll be able to see how they can relate to Tom and find what sounds best for him. For an example, if a soap company asked you what type of scents you would like have, you could say x, y, and z scents. That feedback will be delivered somewhere else so that there will be x, y, and z scents to be manufactured.
In conclusion, the lady is essentially an info broker to the telemarketers, the middle man, in other words. The telemarketers will then plan out how to trick Tom and other people from the feedback Tom gives the lady. If you give the lady all negative responses, then the telemarketers lose because there's nothing that they would be able to think of.

As funny as it is, these reviews affect my bonus, raises and can lead to my firing . While it's not the employee that is calling you and has no control over it, what your doing can lead to them being unemployed, broke, homeless or unable to provide to for their family. All so you can make a buck on RUclips's affiliate program. There is a big difference from a cold call telemarketer and a service rep that calls you to rate their employee on the service you provided. Been a fan for years Tom, Gotta unsubscribe. And hopefully you didn't get the person being rated in to much trouble
