@EnriqueThieleso it’s the best because it sold the most? Wasn’t the model y available before like almost all other brands’ EV’s? just because it’s the most popular doesn’t mean it’s the best.
I think the most insane thing that Warren said, was that Tesla would make 15 million vehicles in a year... Not even the fact that that would be impossible, but the fact that that's more than Toyota's 10 million manufactured cars in 2023, making them the world's #1 car manufacturer in terms of volume... So yeah, in 2025 there's going to not only be 15 million Teslas out there, but a demand for 15 million Teslas, with only 5 types of vehicles... It's like flat Earthers, but with stocks!
Question: IF these cars are meant to last, WHY would you need to keep making them? Wouldn't you just need to make enough for everyone to have one then all they need to do is have the batteries replaced? Oh...wait...that's right. It's literally cheaper to BUY a new car (even a different EV) than to buy new batteries when the battery life is over! LET'S SOLVE THAT PROBLEM FIRST. Okay? Let's solve the battery problem first. Let's figure out how to make them small and last longer for LESS money and with less toxic materials or at the very least with recyclable materials AND materials that CAN be recycled. Not just saying they can be recycled but actually have the ability to recycle them at the same freaking plant tha you make your cars or your batteries!
85% OOPS!! Glad he didn’t say he pre-bought his ticket to Mars!!

You think there will be students in 200 years? Humanity is on the fast track to extinction.

Tesla’s only, ONLY advantage was that it was the first mainstream EV manufacturer. When people thought of EVs they thought of Tesla. Now that this is no longer the case, I wonder how long this trash heap of a company can last.
International supercharger Network and several massive battery manufacturing plants don't count?
I've had 3 as company cars, Model S 90D, Model3,and last a Model Y.
Our leasing provider, the 2nd biggest in Europe, doesn't offer Teslas anymore in their portfolio, since early spring I've had a Audi Etron Q4.
The Audi, while not perfect, is in every conceivable metric better at being a car than any of the Teslas I've driven the last 7 years.
@@marcusott2973 The first thing that comes to mind is having physical buttons/knobs and stalks as opposed to a touch screen.
What are the other metrics?
What did the Tesla lack that your new company provided vehicle provides?
@faceplants2 brakes and suspension, although the Audi is a touch hard, as all Audis.
Hitting a bump mid corner with the Model Y can give butt clenching body reactions when driving slightly enthusiastically, brakes that actually work progressively instead of the on/off switch in the Teslas. Nice texture on all the surfaces you touch. The Interior of a Tesla feels like a bargain GM 90's economy car, and don't get me started on the felted cardboard POS that's the Tesla boot/trunk cover.
The lane holding and distance holding auto pilot functions are far superior, again the on/off brakes that made this uncomfortable, and often shockingly fierce in a Tesla.
I had several instances where the Y emergency braked without any clear indication of why and instances where I had to slam the break pedal cause the auto pilot did nothing.
My dad's 10 year old E class merc does that better, a lot better.
But yes, stalks and buttons are the main improvement over Tesla in everyday use, the wiper automatic, even admitted by Tesla doesn't work properly, they keep promising fixes, but the truth is, in heavy rain, on the motorway you have to fumble on the central display.....it's dangerous.
The strange thing is that this seemed completely obvious, that once the real car makers got up to speed the show was going to be over for Tesla. That's where the bullshit came in, convincing people that Tesla would stay dominant because they had some secret unique technology (FSD), when of course they never did have.
I’ll say it again. I love the truth. Facts.
I’d love to buy you a drink in person just to cheers your truth and logic. Well done and bravo my friend I’ll never meet.

But it's just plainly ridiculous seeing someone who wants $56Bn for 5 years work. This amount gives them the political power to make even more to the detriment of shop floor workers.
the 56 Billion dollars Musk wants is enough to pay all 140,000 Tesla staff worldwide for 5 years. Firing Musk is the best thing the company could do
It's been proven that CEOs don't affect the performance of companies very much, if at all.
not to mention Elon didnt even spend that much time working on Tesla. He got himself distracted by Twitter and god knows what else. The only thing he did for tesla was invest in the CyberFailure, tanking the company, instead of focusing on what made them shine - the model S, X and 3. Ironically, Elon leaving Tesla would probably be the best thing to happen to Tesla. It would tank the stock in the short term - but in the long term I think it would do them an immense amount of good.
This is something I'm actually waiting for.
Yeah, I agree.
Maybe they can salvage the company by having a dedicated, normal ceo.
In engineering sense electric cars in their present state are a dead horse . You can't build a product that's inferior to the current and expect to sell it. The best thing that can happen is tesla fails completely and people start designing transport systems that actually reduce energy use.
problem is the next ceo couldn't just keep making the same lies, would probably get cold feet about making liable claims about fsd being ready etc so the whole operation could crash and burn in the tanking phase.
Also I fully believe musk has done funny valuations on parts of the company. if the actual liquid or near liquid cash was as presented there would not have been panic firings.
das25, you obviously don't have an electric vehicle. I have had a small VW e-up for 3 years, and it's the best town car ever. Quick acceleration, warms up fast in winter. And it's tremendously energy efficient. Average consumption is about 17 kWh / 100 km, which would equal 1.7L in an ICE vehicle. My wife's small Skoda uses about 5.5L in similar driving. I don't expect to buy another ICE vehicle ever again.

@EnriqueThiele The ICE car is a product whose days are numbered. When they are last produced is anyone's guess, but Elon Musk is not the person doing this. Many companies are building electric cars that can outclass anything that Tesla builds, and do it for a reasonable price. Tesla itself is facing serious headwinds; That autopilot system is YEARS away from truly safe reliability and really should only be used on test vehicles at this point. What's more products like the Type S have been on sale for 12 years with few changes, which means that they are seriously long in the tooth. Don't even get me started on that stupid dangerous Cybertruck. Quality of their cars in general is average, and reliability is downright awful.
But also, my penis is 2X the size of Musk's and that means everything, right?
