“1chip transient fixes” has nothing to do with SNES special chip games. It’s for later model SNES consoles commonly referred to as “one chip SNES” consoles because Nintendo combined several of the consoles chips into one to save production costs. These consoles are preferred in the retro community for having much improved image quality, but also a few games have minor graphical issues running on the version of the console. Turning on “One chip transient fixes” corrects a few of those issues.
Even with original snes carts some games use L R start select to either exit a stage or reboot the game. So if enabled you may not be able to fast exit a map / level. Don't forget before playing Mario kart there is the trick to play shrunk by default. Then on princess circuit she actually makes you grow back large if you hit her mushrooms. Been wanting one of these for years.
I forgot to put some information about Save States in the video. Save states are currently only available on games that do not use expansion chips. Save states are not currently expected to be fully compatible with 100% of games. If you find a game that does not work with save states, please report on the Project SD2snes site ( the 4th link the the description ) Enabling this option you'll have 4 slots to choose, pressing `Select+Dpad` (each direction is a slot) |Select +|Slot| ---|--- |**Up**|Slot 1| |**Right**|Slot 2| |**Down**|Slot 3| |**Left**|Slot 4|
Wow, awesome timing on this video, my FXPAK PRO got here today lol. I had seen a few videos cover bits and pieces of the setup but it was really nice to see everything in one place, and on top of that a guide that's completely updated for 2023. Not sure how often they're pushing out updates on the FXPAK PRO anymore, but seeing a setup guide made one day ago? Couldn't ask for more. I was able to follow everything and got mine fired up and running! Thanks!!
I don't have either of these flash carts, but I just wanted to let you know this is a nice video that I'm sure will be useful to a ton of people over time. Gracias, homie!
Another tip. This video has Donkey Kong Country, DKC2, and DKC3. The first game shows up third in the list alphabetically. If you put 2 apaces at the end of the name, it will show up before DKC2 and 3.
Just boguht a N64 Everdrive x7 and it was so easy to set up. Reading the comments here looks like this SNES one is not so simple. Might just have to pass on it 🤔
I just got my SNES FXPAK Pro. I did go for one of the bundles that included a microSD (shoutout Stoneage Gamer store), but all I had to do was drag/drop my ROMs onto the SD card (added a folder for organization's sake) and I was good to go. Didn't take any setup at all. Not sure if that changes if using your own or switching to a new SD card, though.
Did you fix this? I have to retry a few times to get it to boot instead of getting a black screen (although when no SD card is inserted I always get the msg it can't find the OS).
@@ShadowZero1980 my mistake turned out to be that I wasn't using the special formatting software. I thought Windows would work, since it was below 32gb, but once I used the software in the video, it worked fine. But now I can't get save states to work, and customer service isn't responding, so I'm thinking about returning mine. Edit: I've also read that some SD cards can just randomly cause problems for no apparent reason, so if you have another one lying around, try that.
can i drag and drop my games that i downloaded and play on emulator they are .smc files are those okay to use or do i need to redownload the games a certain way thanks
Thank you, I really appreciate it. I hope that it will help you! You should be able to just drag all of the games as they are and put them on your SD card. I hope you enjoy your SD2SNES! Thanks for watching!!!
@TobiasCarlsson1232 I have the cores and have the cores and have the same issue. Maybe it is how the files are named or placed. I hope its not a dud. some games glitch like toy story.
@@mexdrago3009 well thankfully it's just like three games that don't work-- even though the everdrive was mad expensive, i could just buy the ones that don't work on the everdrive

Thank you for your insight, I should have done some more research on that topic. This is very good intel to have, thank you for watching!
Oh thanks for that! I was wondering what that was about also now that I have my FXPAKPRO

I cant get the game boy games to play sound. But the super gameboy intro plays with sound.
Well done my friend
Great video
Do the Gameboy color games work?
At this time I believe it's only original GameBoy games. Thanks for watching!
GB games and Color enhanced (usually black carts) but not GBC much like the real GB player.
I have the dsp1 file but mario kart still won't load. The chip files are inside a fil e named dsp.
Thanks for this video. Do these flash carts save in game saves, like in the original game? Not save states
They sure do, if I remember correctly, if you put the SD card in your PC. There should be a folder for saves. Thanks for watching!
What, isnt this plug and play? I still need to do updating firmware and download files?
Because it doesn't come with an sd card. So you have to put the software on it.

@@SNEStalgia okay! If I have any problems I’ll comment or do you have a discord?
I did but I'm trying to work on making it better. I have an email on my homepage, if you want to shoot me an email. :)
Bom dia amigo posso colocar um micro sd no SD2SNES de 128gb? ele suporta até quantos GB?
You can, just make sure you format it using the program I’ve linked in the description. Thank you for watching.
@@SNEStalgia ok thank you👍
Is it even possible to fill that 32GB SD Card for the SNES?
I’ve wondered this myself, I have a complete romset and I think, I’ve not checked it in a while, that it would fill a 16GB card.
If you use MSU1 modded games, you will need a big one. Those use higher quality audio. If just using standard sounds, then probably not
how do you make them .sfc files?
They should come as .sfc files when you unzip them.
if my sd card is exactly 32gb do I still need to use the fat32 program?
I don’t think so, but it wouldn’t hurt. :)
@@SNEStalgia ok thnx!
super mario kart is not working! i paid a fortune for this cartridge!
You need to add the core
Solo agrega los archivos dsp 1, 2, 3, 4 en la carpeta sd2snes de la sd y con eso ya funcionan

Music is really annoying and makes it hard to understand what you're saying.
Does the SD card matter or is there one type that only works with it?
