You are the first person I have ever heard say "Ess Nes". Not complaining. Just surprised. Thats funny. Weird how something can be around for so long and discussed countless times but can still be pronounced in a new way. Lol cool channel dude.
Interesting, that's the only way we say it round here
Bro it does some of the same things, but it is lacking some major features. People pay a premium to get SD2SNES because it has the MSU-1 chip built in. Without MSU-1, you can’t patch in cd quality sound or full motion video into you SNES games. So unfortunately this cheaper alternative you showed does not do the same thing
I'll be doing a more in depth test of What games it can and cannot play
That, and so the cart won't destroy their SNES due to improper voltage draw.
@@slamshift6927 wrong voltage isn’t the end of the world, especially when this micro-circuitry. The hardware usually has a range of voltages that it is ok with and the Chinese stuff usually falls within tolerance. Also, so much noise was made over improper voltages the past several years, that the Chinese manufacturers probably took note and updated their designs. In any case, even if the flash carts do some harm to the system, we are already in the “bonus years” for all these old consoles. A lot of them have already failed simply due to old age even with no improper use, so we should just be happy for every additional day these things keep working
@@phart0102 Voultar would disagree. Over hours of incompatible voltages, you will do irreversible damage
@@slamshift6927you just need a power supply that runs with 10volts original or alternative and you're good to go, 9volts cheaper power supply tend to cause voltage irregularities that could damage the system slowly on time, specially with special chip games.
This pretty much seems like the one that I've got the only exceptions that I've seen to it is that none of the enhancement chip games seem to work though that's for obvious reasons
I hadn't checked that yet. But was going to in another video
RUclips really wants me to buy a snes and I might give in at this point lol
?
Does it support saving the game?
Everdrive does
Sd2snes chinese can run games with special chips, is a little more expensive, but worth it
I saw those ones too. I still haven't tried super fx games on this one to see what if does
Aliexpress has sd2snes rev x for $37. Will you do a review on this?
I'll take a look!
$37? Man today I can barely find a Rev X at €90 at least, it seems the prices went up so quickly. Unless you're talking about a deceptively named product
EeS Ness? That's a new one for me 😅
es ness
Will this allow installation of roms?
Yes
@@GearsAndTech Would the SD2NES be better for roms? Or This? Or the Everdrive?
What is Ess Nes?
Exactly what you think it is.
@@GearsAndTech a monster that lives in the digital lake?
The snes looks so bad on my 55 inch 4K tv. How come it looks good on your monitor?
It's all about the cable. Grab the hyperkin in my links. It'll look great
Buy a super nt or scaler or misterfpga
Nice Device
Thanks. It seems to be working prettu good
Does it do any of the special chip games (Super FX, DSP, C4X, SDD1, SA-1, etc...)?
I remember the o g super Nintendo entertainment system
It was prettu cool back then
Snes remembers you.
That hyperkin cable is absolute garbage. Widescreen stretched image, not even Svideo quality. Looks like a cheap composite scaler. The SNES (sans jr) has RGB out why can't they just use proper RGB and scaling for the correct aspect ratio.
The image quality is 30% of what it should be. I would look into a retrotink cable or scaler... or at a minimum get a GBS-C for old retro consoles.
This cheap ever drive won't play a lot of the more popular multi-chip games. The SD2SNES/ED offers features that these cheaper carts currently do not. You can't play and FX chip games.
FX PAK PRO I use this on my ANALOGUE SUPER NT &SNES
sweet
i would not trust a bootleg in my snes because of the questionable quality of the pcb connectors and the electrical parts.
I haven't had any issues. But I know what you mean
Why do you keep saying S-SNES?
Probbaly a stutter
Or just emulate it like a normal human being.
Nothing beats using original hardware
Its lightweight. I still have my og snes , been sitting for years waiting for this technology 😂
Y tho
If you're gonna use real hardware, I would recommend not skimping out on accessories. Get a good video cable, a good scaler, and a good flashcart. They will last longer, perform better, and be safer than any of this junk. The cheap HDMI adapters are laggy with subpar image quality, and the knockoff flashcart won't play a large majority of the library (you can forget about playing any Super FX games, for example) in addition to being potentially unsafe for an already 30+ year old console. If you don't want to bother with this, but aren't satisfied with software emulation, then invest in a MiSTer. No point in using authentic hardware anymore if you're not going to go all the way!
Biggest problem for me is the cost to get the titles I remember as a kid
So I buy the real games for ones that are significant to me. Otherwise I use a flash cart for the rest or for hard to find ones.
I'll do some game tests for this to see where the limits are
@@GearsAndTech I'm in the same school of thought. Buying physical games is fun, but prices make it nearly impossible for many people now. I still own some of my favorite titles physically, but use a flashcart for serious gaming. If nothing else, I think it's imperative to buy an FXPak Pro (formerly SD2SNES), as it's a must-own for any Super Nintendo power user. You will pay a premium, but it's high quality, safe, reliable, and can play ~98% of the SNES library. I guarantee you'll discover at least a handful of games that won't work with the knockoff cart! ;)
9 minutes of you explaining nothing, playing NBA that no one gives a F about it.... Clap clap clap 👏 lost completely my time.
What game do you care about?
