    Thank you so much for this encouraging video. I loved knitting for a long time ago and also like to design and create, so at the end of my professional career, which has nothing to do with wools but with maths, I’ve decided to do what I always loved with passion and also make some money with it. And here I am following knitting videos and courses in English, because I really appreciate the quality and content of your teaching methods rather than in French. I live in Paris for 33 years and I’m doing great learning plenty of new things and having new ideas every day with all of you, and must of all I’m doing what I love with passion and inspiration, even if I have 3 projects running at the same time, because threads were missing and I had to order some more and meanwhile I’ve started another one, as I couldn’t wait doing nothing. 😅 Thank you for everything you do for us Ashley 🙏😘😘😘 I love your work ❤ and don’t pay attention to jealous m.f…😅

    I just took the plunge and started my channel. It's ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING and fun at the same time. I love all your options, I think it's hard to build the audience and get the traffic to a blog, at least my experience. But you're always so encouraging so onward we go. Thanks for sharing ☺️

    I follow Mikey on RUclips and he always mentions how people make rude comments so I think that's what deters me from putting myself out there. That, and the criticism I may get from my own tribal community but at the same time I do want to share my skill as a knitter and how people like you have encouraged my growth. Idk

    • @AshleyLillisKnits

      I know it's hard thinking about putting yourself out there. Believe me, I get plenty of not-so-nice comments but honestly, the nice comments and all of the people I've helped totally outweighs the negativity. You just have to brush it off and keep moving forward..... Doesn't hurt to try!

    Thank you so much for sharing. I learn so much from you.
    Question -- did you establish yourself as a LLC at the beginning? Also, you mentioned Squarespace is that how you receive payment? Do you do shipping as well? I do spinning and knitting and I want to combine the two into a business that will become full time for me after I retire in 5 years.
    Last question... Do you still have time to enjoy knitting and designing or has it become a business venture for you?
    Thanks so much.

    Great info! What's the guidelines around selling completed items from a pattern that someone wrote, and you bought that pattern? Is it okay to sell those items with credit to the pattern? Or is that a complete no-go?

    • @AshleyLillisKnits
      @AshleyLillisKnits  Год назад +2

      Hi there! It just depends on the designer and the pattern… most patterns will explicitly say if you’re allowed to or not. If it’s not clear, you can always reach out to the designer directly and ask. I would also just give the designer a heads up regardless - I always appreciate knowing who is selling my finished items and it’s great because then if I get questions on where people can buy my finished items, I know where to send them! It’s good exposure for those making my patterns!
