There's no alt timeline. We know from Fortiche that "Pentakill Vi" is during the second act when Vi is at rock bottom. Piltover Ekko is a puzzler but my guess is Heimer convinces Ekko to join the university where he develops the Z-drive with Heimer. Maybe after a joint Noxus-Piltover force destroys the Firelight tree and community. By Act 3 he returns to fight for Zaun against Noxus and Piltover.

I think Ekko and Vi are working with Jinx in the scenes towards the end of the trailer, Ekko is covered in paint similarly to how Jinx's new outfit looks, it seems intentional as opposed to just being the result of paint splattering on him. We see a few scenes of Enforcers being attacked by Noxians so I think Noxus will try to fully invade and conquer Piltover+Zaun, prompting the teamup.
I've seen a lot of people analyzing the trailer, but Skyen is the only one going all in on time travel and alternate timelines for two hours. The existence of the Z drive has broken this man

So my current theory for Emo Vi is that it’s after her fight with Jinx. It goes badly, maybe she even has reason to think Jinx is dead, so in the aftermath she’s just doing arena fighting because her sister is gone and nothing matters anymore, which is when Warwick bursts in and now she has something new to worry about. As you say, no idea how Warwick/Vander fits into the larger picture here, but that’s my garbled 3AM thoughts so far.
i agree with you that i think emo vi is caused by Jinx "dying" at the end of act 1 when fishbones explodes. Vi's entire character at this point is trying to save her sister, so he dying would leave her empty and odds are Cait's attitude toward jinx will result in her not sharing in Vi's morning of her sister, which will cause a rift. act 2 will be setting up the noxian invasion and Jace and viktors plot. act 2 climax will be VI verses Warwick which will again mess Vi up as now another member of her family is a monster. Act 3 will be the avengers assemble moment where all the charaters come together to stop the noxian invasion and arcane plot, the scene of pirate jinx is her making her reappearance after being "dead" for months. the sister make up "Vi final accepts Jinx for who she is and Jinx accepts Vi for how she changed) and then something happens and Vi get amnesia leading to Jinx and her being "enemies" but jinx mostly just causing chaos but not murder (their game selves).
Spoiler: Fortiche already showed an extended clip with emo Vi and it is not alternate universe. She goes to a pretty dark place with arena fighting followed by heavy drinking. My guess is Noxus opens up some illegal arenas in the occupied parts of Zaun and after failing to get Powder as well as losing Cait, she fights in the pits for a few episodes while wallowing in self pity.
@@bradhoefler8650I think there's a possibilty that the character Vi is carrying at the end of the trailer is Jinx disguised as an enforcer(edit: the hair underneath the helmet is light blue). So I think the ending might be Vi finally getting to rescue Jinx like she's always wanted, and then having to let her go because she doesn't belong in Zaun anymore(she's a "traitor" and her long haired fit has her wearing a badge) and Jinx can't stay in Piltover. And Jinx probably doesn't need her anymore either after everything. So it's a reenactment of the ending of season 1, but this time Vi willingly lets her sister go.
Sevika's magic scars are always blue unless she is actively using shimmer. Don't get me wrong Fishbones has a Hex gem in it. If it was struck with enough force could explode, but in part one they were during progress day they were about to drop an anvil on a hex gemstone. So a lot of force.
I agree, we also need to take into account that Sevika’s scars are a direct result of the hex crystal explosion at the end of season one’s first act (which is why her veins are blue and on the side of her face that was struck). Not to invalidate any theories, but what reason would she have to still be scarred AND be missing the same arm if time was reversed and her change in appearance is hypothetically related to an alternate timeline without Silco’s influence? And I do agree with Sky that the trailer might be hinting at some sort of arcane intervention at the moment Jinx tries to use fishbones. It could also be some sort of miscalculation on her part but I doubt that. The way her silhouette shoots back, the deliberate choice of colors being used, the origin point of the explosion; it only suggests that the blast leads to some sort of unexpected consequence: Maybe someone who has the ability to use magic interferes with the outcome (assuming magic can subdue hextech), maybe something/someone appears from the smoke, or maybe it’s something else entirely unrelated to magic and the trailer editors tricked us. Sidenote: Also don’t get me wrong, there’s 100% going to be some degree of time travel; but there’s also a possibility that a good fraction of the scenes we’re being shown are just flashbacks or future events in the same timeline as well (and that’s IF Ekko’s time travel is even impactful enough to wipe the slate clean and create a branching timeline that the writers consider worthwhile to explore which is a very risky decision on their part).
Okay regarding Vi’s line about “My sister is gone, it’s just Jinx now.” and whether Vi actually thinks that or if it’s a lie. I think at a minimum Vi *wants* to think Powder is dead. Vi *wants* to believe she has **zero** problem with walking up to Jinx, punching her lights out, slapping some handcuffs on her and handing her over to Piltover where she probably gets executed. Vi is not going to be trying to be secretly working on a plan to save Powder. …But I think it’s totally possible that Vi freezes up or hesitates at a crucial moment because she still doesn’t want to hurt Powder deep down. Sorta like Ekko. Ekko wasn’t lying when he said Powder was gone, but seeing Jinx bleeding and battered after he just socked her in the face definitely caught him off guard. She’s not just trying to reassure Cait, she is trying to reassure herself.
Maybe it's like this vi accept powder is dead so she can fight jinx better without hesitate and probably caught her but Cait want to kill her Cait don't want to put her in jaill, her crime is to bigg + Cait mother probably dead so Cait want blood for blood, so she fight vi, and jinx getting away? And the kid in the trailer I'm sure it's not powder it's like the kid behind jinx in the first teaser she probably look up to jinx I think this Kidd will play major impact on jinx character development, I call it now, the kidd is gonna die and jinxx will feel guilty she cant protect her and jinx go full evil mode
It could be at different points. Maybe something happened that finally gets Vi to accept it, something she’d been fighting up until that point. Like that confrontation in the teaser, where finally using the name Jinx signals the end of Vi denying it.

I don't think league of legends characters have plot armor the way you think they do. If you remember riot was toying around with the idea of adding silco to league of legends but inevitably decided against it because he isn't really meant for the battlefield he's more so a character that pulls the strings. If they were toying around with that idea despite the fact that he doesn't survive the end of season 1 I think it puts some credence to league of legends characters being in as much danger as anyone else.

I think the Z-drive will only allow for going back seconds/minutes (hours, tops) in time and thus not alternate timelines, cause nearly all the "alternate" things can be explained with makeovers and timeskips, but who knows? If they do, I bet Heimer and Ekko use the Hexgate to amplify the time travel, and disaster (and potential multiple timelines) might ensue. Also the floating golden people seem like they could be "glorious revolution" followers, but golden doesn't fit there, unless it's what you say about being a scene of like ancient Icathia or something. But Viktor, Jayce and Mel being barely present is delightfully frustrating and very off, arrggh TOO MANY QUESTIONS
canonically ekko’s z-drive only works for up to five minutes, but that shot of heimerdinger getting x-rayed could possibly be some form of amplified time travel device. I reckon 100% there’ll be an ekko time travel highlight but I don’t even think it’ll take an entire episode, probably more a climax moment to the end of act 2 or smth?

I really don't think we're doing timeline nonsense. Ekko's whole thing is also that he only has seconds to make changes. Timeline nonsense sounds like MCU AU nonsense but slightly to the left, and generally a bit too fanfiction-y. Yes, arcane has many moments "if only they'd been a second earlier", but that's the hallmarks of a good story, not an invitation for the story to answer these questions in the plot. Also a hair style change is imo not enough of an indicator that there's a timeline change. Sevika's hair style change just looks like she just lost a fight (her hairband broke). Emo Vi and Ambessa marching into Piltover sound like natural progressions of the story to me, with a Vi and Cait fight on the horizon and Ambessa using her position in Piltover to annex it (as one does). Even suit Ekko could just be the result of a shower and a change of clothes (curtesy of Heimerdinger maybe? We see the two breaking into the academy in a previous clip after all), and both Crop Top Ekko and Piltie suit Ekko have the same new, golden earring. I'm not even too worried about the whole "Arcane is now league canon" thing. I think they're largely letting the writers do what they want anyway and just shoehorning new champion backstories onto the website. It's not like the lore has any actual impact on the base game itself, and just because Arcane is canon for main backstories doesn't mean all skinline AUs are suddenly null and void either, those can coexist. Now about the prospect of God of War Ambessa in 2XKO-
Ekko does also have elements of interacting with parrallel timeline versions of himself, such as his W in league, so I think they could toy with that. I highly doubt they will do entire full alternate timelines though

My guess is that Ambessa wearing gold is going to be an indicator of how she’s stolen Mel’s power - and perhaps Mel herself? With the destruction of the council, it’s not like there’s going to be that many people to stop her, and it does seem in character. She’d have some legitimacy taking her, considering she’s her mom. Plus, Mel would absolutely hate it.

However, if Ambessa is offering weapons and an army in Piltover’s time of need, I think she could elbow herself into a position of power w/o Mel. That's an excellent theory! If Mel was in any way hurt or incapacitated by the explosion, she would've been taken to a hospital, from where Ambessa could (temporarily?) claim care over her and idk, trap her in that red Noxian tower "until she gets better"/Ambessa has taken Piltover/to protect Mel, of course. Like, to play games like these, Ambessa would need to be pretty sure that Mel is out of the way, and being the one in control of her location is a pretty good way to do that. Mel can't "just" be in a hospital because she could govern from inside there unless she's unconscious/in critical condition, but even that wouldn't last so long as to give Ambessa the opportunity to first declare martial law and then march into Piltover (I assume Noxus turning on Piltover is Act two at the earliest, while the Enforcer strike team and Vi vs Jinx is Act 1. Would also be amazing to see Mel's and Ambessa's fucked up relationship more, haha.

Not to mention, the crystal is inscribed with the same rune as Jayce’s crystal + character has noticeably darker skin tone even when taking lighting into account. Bro's bracelet probably got fused into his body somehow.
I was thinking it might be Jayce but wasn't quite sure with the angle/lighting. I think it'd actually be a neat parallel, both Jayce and Viktor fused with Hextech, for completely different reasons and ways, and they use it for different purposes. Viktor corrupted, but selfless and genuinely helping; Jayce connected and healthy, but bent to a corrupt system. Also I'm pretty sure that's Victor's Augmented foot in the "The Arcane Is Waking Up" scene-

Crazy theory: The mystery person who Ambessa is talking to is Camille pre-hextech augments. She takes the place of her son after he dies in Jinx's attack. She is primarily a background character until the Third Act where she gets her augments and participates in the revolt against Ambessa. Following the removal of Noxian Forces from Piltover, she assumes control with the other clan families.
Emo Vi is just Vi doing some pit fighting in Zaun for funsies. And caitlyn's gonna be all "nooo, don't do that." And Vi's gonna be all "Nobody knows it's me!". It's just gonna be a thing about her not letting go of a part of herself despite being an enforcer. Not an alternate universe, lol.

the "sometimes to take a leap forward" line was clearly meant to subvert by not ending with "it needs to take a step back" but pretty fun how it got you

I don't think the shot of "Alternate Ekko" is MV-BS. I think Heimerdinger takes him to Piltover, showing him what someone like him can achieve in the right environment .... but he ultimately rejects that, because him 'saving' just himself would mean leaving the rest of Zaun behind. I'm pretty sure there will be a timeskip, after Act 1. And "Emo-Vi" is Vi living in hiding in Zaun and "Put together Ekko" is him studying at the academy during the timeskip.
There’s a sneak peek of him and Heimerdinger infiltrating the university. Maybe at some point going through the vents isn’t enough and they need to actually blend in the crowd. That would be why Ekko looks like this
I know you don't like being put on a pedestal, but I can't really put into words how I adore listening to you tearing into these things with this eager frenzy of yours. This gives me cozy memories of when I sat outside the bar with a friend who rambled on about the history of metal music for hours on end, and it just thrilled me so deeply to listen to all of it. This outpouring of analysis and speculation just satisfies me in a way that I can't really even verbalize.
Canonically Ekko should turn back but a few minutes at best. His solo game even has him deal with alt. versions of himself stopping him from every creating divergent timelines. So at most, could him attemping to redo an entire episode or act to see if changing one outcome from the season would fix things up, realize made them worse, come with some knowledge of the events he otherwise wouldn't get, and go back to its default timeline knowing its best to not touch past events.
Just started you video, and I think your right - Mel is incapacitated, specifically incased in gold, specifically Zhyonas. Would be a good reference to the game, but also a good reflection on the themes, she has been swallowed up by gold( her and her mothers colours). I could see many scenes of Embassa giving a monologue to the statue. Also explains the gold shine at the end of last ep.
why is Goth Vi not an alternative time line: Goth Vi faces Warwick, and Warwick could have not came to existance in the Arcane universe without the specific events of his death playing the same: Dying full of shimmer, and close to Singed. Without Silco none of that would had never happened.

Bet is first act ends with her believing Jinx died, and proceeds to go into clandestine fights to vent there while having a split dinamic with Caitlyn over allegedly taking Jinx down.
I seriously doubt it's gonna be "groundhog day" "it's a wonderful life" because the story is about Vi and Jinx first and foremost. I'm sure they're gonna do something but they never did explain in season one what was up with Echo and his pocket watch. He would say in episode 4 "we only have 5 minutes" and start the timer. Then there was the duel with Jinx on the bridge in episode 7. So he must be able to do something already.
I think the thingy you refer to as shimmer line on sevika was always blue, looking back at the 1st season. I think she got it cuz of the explosion of the monkey bomb, which was hextech n stuff, not because of shimmer usage. We get a good look at it when she is first shown in act 2, bribing the blimp guy
I think shadow Silko is just a voice in jinx's head, like the rest of her family, it would be weird for her not to be hallucinating with him after his death.
Skyen, I would rewatch the trailer and pay close attention to Jinx's left hand. Also, my theory is that the blue haired girl that's not Powder is being carried away from Warwick. There's the same red mist.
There's gonna be a point where even piltover doesnt tolerate Noxus takibg over anymore. This is how we get Vi working together with Ekko while in her enforcer uniform and how we align Vi and caitlyn back on the same side. I feel like ambessas army is fighting enforcers at some point. They've kind of recognized that there is a greater threat right now
I cant believe you didn’t mention this Skyen but the one shot where we see floating feet being infused with gold energy, one of the feet is a different color and that’s EXACTLY how Viktor’s leg looked after he had runes carved into it and injected it with Singed’s thingy, except it was glowing purple and not gold. So there is a high likelihood this was Viktor we were seeing ascend with those other golden rune people

The scene where Silco is black and all shadowy is highly suspected to be Leblanc or atleast something of her doing, I highly recommend watching necrit’s newest video and skipping to 34:25 he gives a short explanation of who she is and how she might impact the story (I think he goes maybe a little crazy on the theory lol but at the very least I do think that the scene is a teaser to her appearance). Also if it is Leblanc it really is going to open the floodgates to all the chaotic shit and characters we could get in this series, so I’m hoping it’s her
The Sisters fighting Vander/WW could still work cuz afaik, WW didn’t fully transform into the wolf form until the human body died. So Jinx and Vi could still put Vander out of his misery as a semi conscious homunculus and still have the catalyst for present day WW.
I love how Skyen kept missing the frame with Jinx' flying base while talking about Jinx with an airship being out of sight. Also, the child with blue hair doesn't look anything like Powder. "Silco" is in the throne room from Mel's flashback - combined with black thorny vines and the eye markings, that's probably LeBlanc related.
Okay. My theory: This ISN'T time travel alternate reality BS, as that would most likely result in Ekko traveling back to Vander and Silko's fight in the Pilt. So 15 years or more. I think it goes as follows: Ekko and Heimerdinger use the Z-Drive to get the council to realtive safety before the rocket hits and then we'll go from there and it was a flashback of Embessa in her younger days trying to invade Piltover and her getting a seat at the table as a peace offer. She agrees and after a few failed embasadors she chooses her own daughter, who is the better diplomat than her or anyone Embessa trusts.
Two things: first, I think those scar lines on Sevika's face have always looked like that, not a result of Shimmer poisoning but leftover scars from when Powder blew her arm off. Second, I thought the shot of the person's wrist with Jayce's gem thing embedded in the skin was Jayce, and that the stone got fused into his skin due to the Jinx's explosion at the end of season 1. Like the skin melted around it and that's why it's all scarred around it.
Alt Timeline where Silco Died in that fight between him and Vander all those years ago could also allow someone like Renata Glasc to fill his spot in that new timeline

I think Vi is lying to herself, rather than lying to Caitlyn intentionally. I'm inclined to think that she feels an immense amount of guilt for what happened to Cait and feels that she needs to do something about it. But when push comes to shove, I don't think she can actually do the deed, so to speak. Sevika's face scars have always been blue. It's from the hex crystal explosion, which was blue. The noxian building was already there in episode 4 at the very beginning when Heimerdinger opened the balcony doors. I'm positive that it's Jayce with the hexcrystal from his wristband fused into his wrist somehow. Not Viktor. Really not into the whole alternate universe/timeline theory. The panel and portion they showed at the Annecy Festival basically disproves the whole Alternate Vi you're going on about. Pretty sure the mural is just Zaun equating Jinx to Vanders, and that would be a kick in the teeth for Vi. Ekko, going back in time with his device to alter a recent moment. I can get behind that. But this whole dialogue about leaving something behind is probably talking to Jinx or Vi about what they need to do to move forward. I really don't think it's any more complicated than that.
IMHO the Silco shadow is the same as the shadowy echoes of Mylo and Clagger that haunt Jinx's mind in Season 1. Loved this video btw, laughed/related a lot.
Man going crazy with multiverse theories. It will be too funny later when nothing like that ever happens. Most of the scenes can be just very simply explained in single timeline. People cut and change hair colours and clothes all the time, it doesn't have to mean anything.
I highly doubt we will get time-traveling and multiverse stuff in this. It is a big topic that takes up the whole focus for it to be good IMO. Ekko is going to be able to go back in time a maximum of seconds if I am to guess. The Vi thing is just a phase. I believe there will be some time passing in this season. Weeks or months. And if we have time skips of weeks or months I think it is fair to assume Ekko is fitting in to Piltover with the help of Heimerdinger. He might not be on the council ATM, but he is still a Yordle of high status in the town I guess. So he would have the means of helping Ekko. And then there is the clip from earlier, without saying too much. League is also getting VGU which might make them fit with the new cannon.
An interesting pattern that I'm noticing is that Sevika seems to have no ambitions. All she wants to do is be the helper of the next great revolutionary. First it was Vander, then it was Silco, now apparently it's Jinx. Always following, never starting, waiting for someone else to get upheaval going. Can she do anything on her own?
I think she knows her strengths and is playing to them. Not everyone is a leader. Sevika is a great fighter for someone who _is_ a good leader, who knows how to use her right. She aligns with people who she believes will further what she wants, and in that way she _does_ do plenty of things on her own, for her own goals. She's just not a leader, and knows that about herself.

I've taken to calling Sevika a king maker. She has a lot of power and influence. I don't think it's a stretch to say a lot of the loyalty from Silco's men was actually loyalty to Sevika. And Sevika is the person that dude tried to scout when he wanted to turn on Silco. That dude was very confident he was going to over throw Silco when he thought he turned Sevika and Silco genuinely thought he was going to die too. She doesn't want to be the leader, but she does have the power and the charisma that makes people follow her. She is a lynch pin, the king maker. She won't ever become king, but she gets to decide who is and isn't fit for the role.

I think my issue with the idea of a multiverse tale is I dont think theres enough time in 9 episodes. If we dedicate the first 3 to sorting out the current present, we have 6 left. We have to sort Victor, Jayce, warwick with potential heimer, ekko, cait, sevika, etc and still need to wrap up the Jinx Vi story. I feel like all of there arcs have the potential to require an episode in the current timeline to resolve and trying to fit that in with a set of time travel devoted episodes seems really cramped. Exploring timelines would really only resolve the jinx Vi conflict. I choose to believe emo vi and well dressed ekko are both disguises for infiltrating zaun (after being now known as an enforcer) and the institute (to obtain and build the z drive with heimer) respectively. The outfit and gauntlet changes as well as the jinx markings are all the result of time skips for different stages of the story. The Vander Jinx mural also shows what looks like the color prank on the city on the bottom. Many of the others like Ambessa with black hair could just be a flashback (or even just some hair dye). I could be wrong, and maybe they know how to pull it off, but I think there other more grounded possibilities. Also most certainly can reach the current canon without time shenanigans.
There are two flavours of tragedy in the world, "it didn't have to happen like this," and "it could never have happened any differently." Season one was the first, and if we're doing Ekko messing with the timeline in season two, this may be the second.
i have the theory that Mel is alive but cripple, Jayce is gonna force Viktor into give her the same treatment he did on himself, adn that will unleash the awakening of the void or Viktor creates a World Rune from his Hextech core.

There's no alt timeline. We know from Fortiche that "Pentakill Vi" is during the second act when Vi is at rock bottom. Piltover Ekko is a puzzler but my guess is Heimer convinces Ekko to join the university where he develops the Z-drive with Heimer. Maybe after a joint Noxus-Piltover force destroys the Firelight tree and community. By Act 3 he returns to fight for Zaun against Noxus and Piltover.

I think Ekko and Vi are working with Jinx in the scenes towards the end of the trailer, Ekko is covered in paint similarly to how Jinx's new outfit looks, it seems intentional as opposed to just being the result of paint splattering on him. We see a few scenes of Enforcers being attacked by Noxians so I think Noxus will try to fully invade and conquer Piltover+Zaun, prompting the teamup.
I'm pretty sure he's seeing sideways through space and time around then.

So my current theory for Emo Vi is that it’s after her fight with Jinx. It goes badly, maybe she even has reason to think Jinx is dead, so in the aftermath she’s just doing arena fighting because her sister is gone and nothing matters anymore, which is when Warwick bursts in and now she has something new to worry about.
As you say, no idea how Warwick/Vander fits into the larger picture here, but that’s my garbled 3AM thoughts so far.
i agree with you that i think emo vi is caused by Jinx "dying" at the end of act 1 when fishbones explodes. Vi's entire character at this point is trying to save her sister, so he dying would leave her empty and odds are Cait's attitude toward jinx will result in her not sharing in Vi's morning of her sister, which will cause a rift. act 2 will be setting up the noxian invasion and Jace and viktors plot. act 2 climax will be VI verses Warwick which will again mess Vi up as now another member of her family is a monster. Act 3 will be the avengers assemble moment where all the charaters come together to stop the noxian invasion and arcane plot, the scene of pirate jinx is her making her reappearance after being "dead" for months. the sister make up "Vi final accepts Jinx for who she is and Jinx accepts Vi for how she changed) and then something happens and Vi get amnesia leading to Jinx and her being "enemies" but jinx mostly just causing chaos but not murder (their game selves).
Probably has to do with the theme of confronting loved ones who turn into monster and how to face and confront them.
my theory is vi gets captured by a noxian and gets put into a gladiator like arena that gets set up in zaun.

Fortiche already showed an extended clip with emo Vi and it is not alternate universe. She goes to a pretty dark place with arena fighting followed by heavy drinking. My guess is Noxus opens up some illegal arenas in the occupied parts of Zaun and after failing to get Powder as well as losing Cait, she fights in the pits for a few episodes while wallowing in self pity.

So I think the ending might be Vi finally getting to rescue Jinx like she's always wanted, and then having to let her go because she doesn't belong in Zaun anymore(she's a "traitor" and her long haired fit has her wearing a badge) and Jinx can't stay in Piltover. And Jinx probably doesn't need her anymore either after everything.
So it's a reenactment of the ending of season 1, but this time Vi willingly lets her sister go.

Sevika's magic scars are always blue unless she is actively using shimmer. Don't get me wrong Fishbones has a Hex gem in it. If it was struck with enough force could explode, but in part one they were during progress day they were about to drop an anvil on a hex gemstone. So a lot of force.

I agree, we also need to take into account that Sevika’s scars are a direct result of the hex crystal explosion at the end of season one’s first act (which is why her veins are blue and on the side of her face that was struck). Not to invalidate any theories, but what reason would she have to still be scarred AND be missing the same arm if time was reversed and her change in appearance is hypothetically related to an alternate timeline without Silco’s influence?
And I do agree with Sky that the trailer might be hinting at some sort of arcane intervention at the moment Jinx tries to use fishbones. It could also be some sort of miscalculation on her part but I doubt that. The way her silhouette shoots back, the deliberate choice of colors being used, the origin point of the explosion; it only suggests that the blast leads to some sort of unexpected consequence:
Maybe someone who has the ability to use magic interferes with the outcome (assuming magic can subdue hextech), maybe something/someone appears from the smoke, or maybe it’s something else entirely unrelated to magic and the trailer editors tricked us.
Sidenote:
Also don’t get me wrong, there’s 100% going to be some degree of time travel; but there’s also a possibility that a good fraction of the scenes we’re being shown are just flashbacks or future events in the same timeline as well (and that’s IF Ekko’s time travel is even impactful enough to wipe the slate clean and create a branching timeline that the writers consider worthwhile to explore which is a very risky decision on their part).
Okay regarding Vi’s line about “My sister is gone, it’s just Jinx now.” and whether Vi actually thinks that or if it’s a lie.
I think at a minimum Vi *wants* to think Powder is dead. Vi *wants* to believe she has **zero** problem with walking up to Jinx, punching her lights out, slapping some handcuffs on her and handing her over to Piltover where she probably gets executed.
Vi is not going to be trying to be secretly working on a plan to save Powder.
…But I think it’s totally possible that Vi freezes up or hesitates at a crucial moment because she still doesn’t want to hurt Powder deep down.
Sorta like Ekko. Ekko wasn’t lying when he said Powder was gone, but seeing Jinx bleeding and battered after he just socked her in the face definitely caught him off guard.
She’s not just trying to reassure Cait, she is trying to reassure herself.
Maybe it's like this vi accept powder is dead so she can fight jinx better without hesitate and probably caught her but Cait want to kill her Cait don't want to put her in jaill, her crime is to bigg + Cait mother probably dead so Cait want blood for blood, so she fight vi, and jinx getting away? And the kid in the trailer I'm sure it's not powder it's like the kid behind jinx in the first teaser she probably look up to jinx I think this Kidd will play major impact on jinx character development, I call it now, the kidd is gonna die and jinxx will feel guilty she cant protect her and jinx go full evil mode

I don't think league of legends characters have plot armor the way you think they do. If you remember riot was toying around with the idea of adding silco to league of legends but inevitably decided against it because he isn't really meant for the battlefield he's more so a character that pulls the strings. If they were toying around with that idea despite the fact that he doesn't survive the end of season 1 I think it puts some credence to league of legends characters being in as much danger as anyone else.

I think the Z-drive will only allow for going back seconds/minutes (hours, tops) in time and thus not alternate timelines, cause nearly all the "alternate" things can be explained with makeovers and timeskips, but who knows? If they do, I bet Heimer and Ekko use the Hexgate to amplify the time travel, and disaster (and potential multiple timelines) might ensue.
Also the floating golden people seem like they could be "glorious revolution" followers, but golden doesn't fit there, unless it's what you say about being a scene of like ancient Icathia or something. But Viktor, Jayce and Mel being barely present is delightfully frustrating and very off, arrggh TOO MANY QUESTIONS

I really don't think we're doing timeline nonsense. Ekko's whole thing is also that he only has seconds to make changes. Timeline nonsense sounds like MCU AU nonsense but slightly to the left, and generally a bit too fanfiction-y. Yes, arcane has many moments "if only they'd been a second earlier", but that's the hallmarks of a good story, not an invitation for the story to answer these questions in the plot.
Also a hair style change is imo not enough of an indicator that there's a timeline change. Sevika's hair style change just looks like she just lost a fight (her hairband broke). Emo Vi and Ambessa marching into Piltover sound like natural progressions of the story to me, with a Vi and Cait fight on the horizon and Ambessa using her position in Piltover to annex it (as one does). Even suit Ekko could just be the result of a shower and a change of clothes (curtesy of Heimerdinger maybe? We see the two breaking into the academy in a previous clip after all), and both Crop Top Ekko and Piltie suit Ekko have the same new, golden earring.
I'm not even too worried about the whole "Arcane is now league canon" thing. I think they're largely letting the writers do what they want anyway and just shoehorning new champion backstories onto the website. It's not like the lore has any actual impact on the base game itself, and just because Arcane is canon for main backstories doesn't mean all skinline AUs are suddenly null and void either, those can coexist.
Now about the prospect of God of War Ambessa in 2XKO-
Ekko does also have elements of interacting with parrallel timeline versions of himself, such as his W in league, so I think they could toy with that. I highly doubt they will do entire full alternate timelines though

Plus, Mel would absolutely hate it.

That's an excellent theory! If Mel was in any way hurt or incapacitated by the explosion, she would've been taken to a hospital, from where Ambessa could (temporarily?) claim care over her and idk, trap her in that red Noxian tower "until she gets better"/Ambessa has taken Piltover/to protect Mel, of course. Like, to play games like these, Ambessa would need to be pretty sure that Mel is out of the way, and being the one in control of her location is a pretty good way to do that. Mel can't "just" be in a hospital because she could govern from inside there unless she's unconscious/in critical condition, but even that wouldn't last so long as to give Ambessa the opportunity to first declare martial law and then march into Piltover (I assume Noxus turning on Piltover is Act two at the earliest, while the Enforcer strike team and Vi vs Jinx is Act 1. Would also be amazing to see Mel's and Ambessa's fucked up relationship more, haha.

I think it'd actually be a neat parallel, both Jayce and Viktor fused with Hextech, for completely different reasons and ways, and they use it for different purposes. Viktor corrupted, but selfless and genuinely helping; Jayce connected and healthy, but bent to a corrupt system.

Crazy theory: The mystery person who Ambessa is talking to is Camille pre-hextech augments. She takes the place of her son after he dies in Jinx's attack. She is primarily a background character until the Third Act where she gets her augments and participates in the revolt against Ambessa. Following the removal of Noxian Forces from Piltover, she assumes control with the other clan families.

I don't think the shot of "Alternate Ekko" is MV-BS. I think Heimerdinger takes him to Piltover, showing him what someone like him can achieve in the right environment .... but he ultimately rejects that, because him 'saving' just himself would mean leaving the rest of Zaun behind.
I'm pretty sure there will be a timeskip, after Act 1. And "Emo-Vi" is Vi living in hiding in Zaun and "Put together Ekko" is him studying at the academy during the timeskip.

So at most, could him attemping to redo an entire episode or act to see if changing one outcome from the season would fix things up, realize made them worse, come with some knowledge of the events he otherwise wouldn't get, and go back to its default timeline knowing its best to not touch past events.

Just started you video, and I think your right - Mel is incapacitated, specifically incased in gold, specifically Zhyonas. Would be a good reference to the game, but also a good reflection on the themes, she has been swallowed up by gold( her and her mothers colours). I could see many scenes of Embassa giving a monologue to the statue. Also explains the gold shine at the end of last ep.
why is Goth Vi not an alternative time line:
Goth Vi faces Warwick, and Warwick could have not came to existance in the Arcane universe without the specific events of his death playing the same: Dying full of shimmer, and close to Singed. Without Silco none of that would had never happened.

I seriously doubt it's gonna be "groundhog day" "it's a wonderful life" because the story is about Vi and Jinx first and foremost. I'm sure they're gonna do something but they never did explain in season one what was up with Echo and his pocket watch. He would say in episode 4 "we only have 5 minutes" and start the timer. Then there was the duel with Jinx on the bridge in episode 7. So he must be able to do something already.

I think the thingy you refer to as shimmer line on sevika was always blue, looking back at the 1st season. I think she got it cuz of the explosion of the monkey bomb, which was hextech n stuff, not because of shimmer usage. We get a good look at it when she is first shown in act 2, bribing the blimp guy

Skyen, I would rewatch the trailer and pay close attention to Jinx's left hand. Also, my theory is that the blue haired girl that's not Powder is being carried away from Warwick. There's the same red mist.

There's gonna be a point where even piltover doesnt tolerate Noxus takibg over anymore. This is how we get Vi working together with Ekko while in her enforcer uniform and how we align Vi and caitlyn back on the same side. I feel like ambessas army is fighting enforcers at some point. They've kind of recognized that there is a greater threat right now
I cant believe you didn’t mention this Skyen but the one shot where we see floating feet being infused with gold energy, one of the feet is a different color and that’s EXACTLY how Viktor’s leg looked after he had runes carved into it and injected it with Singed’s thingy, except it was glowing purple and not gold. So there is a high likelihood this was Viktor we were seeing ascend with those other golden rune people
and little Powder scene i'm pretty sure are just survivors-followers of Jinx

The scene where Silco is black and all shadowy is highly suspected to be Leblanc or atleast something of her doing, I highly recommend watching necrit’s newest video and skipping to 34:25 he gives a short explanation of who she is and how she might impact the story (I think he goes maybe a little crazy on the theory lol but at the very least I do think that the scene is a teaser to her appearance). Also if it is Leblanc it really is going to open the floodgates to all the chaotic shit and characters we could get in this series, so I’m hoping it’s her

"Silco" is in the throne room from Mel's flashback - combined with black thorny vines and the eye markings, that's probably LeBlanc related.

Okay. My theory: This ISN'T time travel alternate reality BS, as that would most likely result in Ekko traveling back to Vander and Silko's fight in the Pilt. So 15 years or more. I think it goes as follows: Ekko and Heimerdinger use the Z-Drive to get the council to realtive safety before the rocket hits and then we'll go from there and it was a flashback of Embessa in her younger days trying to invade Piltover and her getting a seat at the table as a peace offer. She agrees and after a few failed embasadors she chooses her own daughter, who is the better diplomat than her or anyone Embessa trusts.

Two things: first, I think those scar lines on Sevika's face have always looked like that, not a result of Shimmer poisoning but leftover scars from when Powder blew her arm off. Second, I thought the shot of the person's wrist with Jayce's gem thing embedded in the skin was Jayce, and that the stone got fused into his skin due to the Jinx's explosion at the end of season 1. Like the skin melted around it and that's why it's all scarred around it.
Alt Timeline where Silco Died in that fight between him and Vander all those years ago could also allow someone like Renata Glasc to fill his spot in that new timeline

I think Vi is lying to herself, rather than lying to Caitlyn intentionally. I'm inclined to think that she feels an immense amount of guilt for what happened to Cait and feels that she needs to do something about it. But when push comes to shove, I don't think she can actually do the deed, so to speak.

The noxian building was already there in episode 4 at the very beginning when Heimerdinger opened the balcony doors.

Really not into the whole alternate universe/timeline theory. The panel and portion they showed at the Annecy Festival basically disproves the whole Alternate Vi you're going on about. Pretty sure the mural is just Zaun equating Jinx to Vanders, and that would be a kick in the teeth for Vi.
Ekko, going back in time with his device to alter a recent moment. I can get behind that. But this whole dialogue about leaving something behind is probably talking to Jinx or Vi about what they need to do to move forward. I really don't think it's any more complicated than that.
I don't really think Sevika is a "daughter" to Silco, she's a lot older then Jinx and seems to be only slightly younger then Vander and Silco
IMHO the Silco shadow is the same as the shadowy echoes of Mylo and Clagger that haunt Jinx's mind in Season 1. Loved this video btw, laughed/related a lot.
Man going crazy with multiverse theories. It will be too funny later when nothing like that ever happens. Most of the scenes can be just very simply explained in single timeline. People cut and change hair colours and clothes all the time, it doesn't have to mean anything.
I highly doubt we will get time-traveling and multiverse stuff in this. It is a big topic that takes up the whole focus for it to be good IMO. Ekko is going to be able to go back in time a maximum of seconds if I am to guess. The Vi thing is just a phase. I believe there will be some time passing in this season. Weeks or months.
And if we have time skips of weeks or months I think it is fair to assume Ekko is fitting in to Piltover with the help of Heimerdinger. He might not be on the council ATM, but he is still a Yordle of high status in the town I guess. So he would have the means of helping Ekko. And then there is the clip from earlier, without saying too much.
League is also getting VGU which might make them fit with the new cannon.
An interesting pattern that I'm noticing is that Sevika seems to have no ambitions. All she wants to do is be the helper of the next great revolutionary. First it was Vander, then it was Silco, now apparently it's Jinx. Always following, never starting, waiting for someone else to get upheaval going. Can she do anything on her own?
I think she knows her strengths and is playing to them. Not everyone is a leader. Sevika is a great fighter for someone who _is_ a good leader, who knows how to use her right. She aligns with people who she believes will further what she wants, and in that way she _does_ do plenty of things on her own, for her own goals. She's just not a leader, and knows that about herself.
@@-salmather This yeah. Hence why she was considering leaving Silco when she saw he was letting his love for Jinx sabotage his own operation, and why she betrayed Vander for Silco in the first place. She has her own beliefs and ideals, she just knows what her own strengths and weaknesses are.
I've taken to calling Sevika a king maker. She has a lot of power and influence. I don't think it's a stretch to say a lot of the loyalty from Silco's men was actually loyalty to Sevika. And Sevika is the person that dude tried to scout when he wanted to turn on Silco.
That dude was very confident he was going to over throw Silco when he thought he turned Sevika and Silco genuinely thought he was going to die too.
She doesn't want to be the leader, but she does have the power and the charisma that makes people follow her. She is a lynch pin, the king maker. She won't ever become king, but she gets to decide who is and isn't fit for the role.

I think my issue with the idea of a multiverse tale is I dont think theres enough time in 9 episodes. If we dedicate the first 3 to sorting out the current present, we have 6 left. We have to sort Victor, Jayce, warwick with potential heimer, ekko, cait, sevika, etc and still need to wrap up the Jinx Vi story. I feel like all of there arcs have the potential to require an episode in the current timeline to resolve and trying to fit that in with a set of time travel devoted episodes seems really cramped. Exploring timelines would really only resolve the jinx Vi conflict.
I choose to believe emo vi and well dressed ekko are both disguises for infiltrating zaun (after being now known as an enforcer) and the institute (to obtain and build the z drive with heimer) respectively. The outfit and gauntlet changes as well as the jinx markings are all the result of time skips for different stages of the story. The Vander Jinx mural also shows what looks like the color prank on the city on the bottom.
Many of the others like Ambessa with black hair could just be a flashback (or even just some hair dye).
I could be wrong, and maybe they know how to pull it off, but I think there other more grounded possibilities. Also most certainly can reach the current canon without time shenanigans.

There are two flavours of tragedy in the world, "it didn't have to happen like this," and "it could never have happened any differently." Season one was the first, and if we're doing Ekko messing with the timeline in season two, this may be the second.
i have the theory that Mel is alive but cripple, Jayce is gonna force Viktor into give her the same treatment he did on himself, adn that will unleash the awakening of the void or Viktor creates a World Rune from his Hextech core.

Regardless of whether alternate timeline without Silco ends up happening or not that is absolutely brilliant fanfiction potential. I would love to read an AU fanfic where Jinx and Vi switch roles in the family.
