Suits delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of a top Manhattan corporate law firm where hotshot associate Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht, “Love & Other Drugs”) makes a risky move by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, “Old School”) a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout, as his associate. As he becomes enmeshed in this unfamiliar world, Mike relies heavily on the firm’s best paralegal Rachel (Meghan Markle, “Horrible Bosses”) and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty, “Brothers & Sisters”) to help him serve justice. With a photographic memory and the street smarts of a hustler, Mike proves to be a legal prodigy despite the absence of bonafide legal credentials.

This is one weird law firm. Chopping and changing names and partners, and dropping clients, isn’t going to enhance its reputation.
Ya, it ended up being an issue multiple times. They almost lost their lease at one point because the landlord wanted to scam his custodians out of OT.
tell me you are dumb without telling me you are. They dropped jim renyolds and took on pfizer as a client which was 3 times the size of jim reynolds

Its drama learn to enjoy it
@@kaushik2248prayaga I like my drama credible because I don’t live in fantasy land.
The more donna is taking importance the more the firm is sinking lol
That is sort of kind of lampshaded in the show
she is the most annoying character in the show
Ladies and Gentlemen, the introduction of the first of several "hit and miss" characters that I honestly liked - Alex Williams
All I see is Charlie young 😂
@@NC-bv7roIt'd be really sad for Charlie to change from the end of the west wing to that character.
@@BlueButtonFly All I see Gus
Lot of hit and miss characters, but Alex is a hit. Written well, and after years on the West Wing , Dule Hill can pull it off...
@@indifference1015was about to say, Gus really managed to make it well, from Pharmaceutical salesman to senior partner 😂😂
Lois from the day 1, was always meant to be Managing Partner. He was already handling associates. He was their parent in some sense. Managing Partner was the only logical arc for him. It’s just that he needed his time and character arc to really develop.
Harvey on the other hand liked to be on the field all the time as hotshot experienced lawyer. But that’s just it. You can’t manage and be a proper field lawyer at the same time. Even Jessica knew that, and she embraced being the Manager. Harvey was never able to.
Louis was definitely senior partner material from the first episode. Indeed, his character development was always leading him to be name partner and possibly managing partner, although I believe the firm would've been better off with Jessica still managing. Harvey's gunslinger style is not really managing partner material. I mean sure, we see him soften up in terms of personal interactions as a character development, but his MO still remained gunslinger even in the latter seasons.
Harvey achieved his most important professional goal, that of running his own law firm.
Harvey was always at his best as a gun-slinger. Managing partner well...there are always other people who could do that.
Ain’t that the truth…Season 7, Harvey may have been managing partner in name, but we mostly saw him doing field work. He never really stopped.
I watched this show thrice within a yr. I kinda obsessed with it.
brother Im rewatching it for the 17th time or more within the year itself 💀
7 th time
Yeah I never bought Harvey as managing partner. It just wasn’t his style.
Jessica, Robert and yeah even Louis once he grew up fit the role better
Says a lot that in Season 7, Harvey was managing partner but it felt like he was on the front lines way too much
He can’t be Managing Partner and be Harvey at the same time.
Heck yeah. When I become the manager of this Jack in the box, I'm going to go to my most regular customer and tell them never to come back to show that I'm in charge
Probably isn't a similar scenario but I like where your head's at lol
This was a wrong move by Harvey which didn't make sense but thankfully Jessica was on hand to rectify the situation.
The others: Law School
Jessica: Power School
Donna: Narcissist school
These people are really obsessed with their name up on a wall. Lol
I guess jt signifies ones importance to the law firm. But not so much when the name has changed a couple times in short time gaps.
I think they get a lot more money, & other perks.
@@elipotter369 actually no on the money as a matter fact they have to it there own money in they do get a percentage of the overall fee and don't have to do bilabial statements plus the prestige of walking around New York say I'm from such an such law firm n the 90th floor in the corner office
The more i rewatch this show/clips on youtube, the more I realize Harvey is the main lead, and Mike was the secondary lead. Used to think it was the dynamic duo as co-lead, but no, Harvey is the main lead.
This firm would make for a great “don’t do’s” video:
- Do no promote secretaries to the COO of a company
- Do not hire frauds, especially in a law firm
- Do not change firm names like your clothing
The moment Jessica left is when the firm went kaboom. As awesome as Harvey and Mike are, they're not managing partner material. They're gunslingers. Butch and Sundance. Jessica was the real MVP that kept that firm together. Robert Zane was also a great managing partner. Now, I'm no lawyer, but I would venture to say in the real world a stable firm leadership would be in the mold as Jessica managing partner, Louis(later seasons version) and Harvey as name partners.
Smooth transition
IKR
How in God's name is Donna sitting at the table this is utterly ridiculous
I’ve learned to think about it like she became the boards Donna or a front facing partner lol
9:44 how did she know lol superwoman here 😅
I preferred Harvey the best closer in the city, this managing partner thing not so much.
Dropping your biggest client to prove you're the new boss sounds like a moronic move
for you.
Its dropping Jessica’s oldest client to bring in a bigger one.
Or in Jessica’s position dropping the biggest of the old name partner there definetly are bigger ones in the firm
They weren't.
They were a small client that Jessica had a soft spot for. Dropping them for a much, much larger client was a far better option.
Oldest* they traded up
Charlie did really well for himself. Weird he changed his name
Wasn't the guy who played Superman CHRISTOPHER reeves?
Correct, but before him was George Reeves. He played Superman in the 50s. However Christoper was not a Reeves, his last name was actually Reeve, no 'S' at the end of the last name
@@programmertheory thank you for the info
Would you hire a firm that hires and fires employees so much.
if they have a reputation like these guys, I wouldn't mind.
It all went wrong when Harvey made his former secretary the COO.
preeeeetty sure it was Christopher Reeves that played Superman...
looked this up before posting, both him AND George Reeves played superman... the more you know!
Christopher Reeves, not George
George Reeves played Superman in the 50s.
Christopher *Reeve* (no S) played Superman in the 70s.
@@olivercharles2120 Ah, you are correct
Harvey: The guy who played Superman?
Jessica: That was George Reeves..
Me: Nope, that was Christopher Reeve, my hero.
It's Reeve. Christopher Reeve.
George Reeves was the actor who played superman in the 1950s tv series ‘Adventures of Superman’.
Arthur reeves? Why did he say George reeves played super man . That was Christopher reeves
George reeves was one of the first people to play superman. Christopher reeves came later
George Reeves was Superman first in the 1950s.
Harvey’s hair was horrible in the first minute. 😂
I think she meant Christopher Reeve
The original Superman was George reeve!
not a chance harvey is daim funny
Christopher reeves played superman
George reeves was superman long before Christopher reeve
Reeve* Christopher Reeve never had an S on his last name he kept that on his chest
Donna ruined the whole series. Managing partner? Like wth
Donna wasn't a managing partner, she was COO and on the partnering board.
@@chili015she didn't deserve that either
@@dalehardges5456 judhing that she somehow knew everything she was deserved based on how the tv show displayed her, and that it is also a fantasy world.
This episode is so useless because they literally just slap everyone's name on the wall by the end of the series.
