I didn't recognize or appreciate it when I first watched it, but Ira's spin on Axe's unwillingness to show his books into "emotional" damage was really an impeccable piece of lawyering.
Yeah you don't see Axe at a loss for words very often but you could tell by his face when Ira said that, he was thinking "well fuck"
yeah you don't see someone pull a fast one over on Axe very often lol. he was at a loss for words
Bobby and Chuck will go down in history as one of the greatest battles in TV
It might except for the fact by season 4 it was getting tired because Chuck never wanted to really go after bobby because of his wife
Cat and mouse
But the quips as well got tiring
They all started talking like that 😂
Naw man. Lizzo VS. The Buttons On Her Shirt.
right until the end where they teamed up.
The show kinda fizzled out for me when his wife kept getting in the way. That and it seems like the show kept having the characters make one step forward two steps back approach which is tiring.
"What's the point of having fuck you money, if you never say fuck you" can't wait to use that line one day 😂
cringe
That's a sort of ''pray''.
u never will lol
Same.
By the time you get there, you'll be too grateful to the people that got you there that you won't use it 😉
Paul Giamatti is amazing in all of his roles
Amazing Spider Man 2 would like a word with ya, bucko.
@@jamiestewart48Not his fault. The script was hot garbage
The term "Frenemies" expressed at the absolute pinnacle!
been watching this since 2022, on repeat.
Every time i re-watch it, i learn something new - i see something new.
It's gets better when you re-watch it.
So true
YES BRO. For me I’ve been watching since the pilot released and I still rewatch it to this day
This could’ve been an hour long, which it probably should be, and I would watch every single minute of it
Two great actors! Billions is AWESOME!
One of the best series I've come to know which has challenged me to work smart .
I never seen this show but I’m going to binge watch it. The cast is amazing!
Damn I miss this show! 😢
I’m really going to miss this show
The scene of 17:23 keeps being funny to me. The way Chuck sprang back up like a Pit Bull is outstanding acting 😅😅😅😅
Well spotted 😂😂😂
@@callmemarvel298 I can feel the anger he’s experiencing right from where I’m sitting 😅😅😅
Bobby and Chuck were great as they wraggled and combatted with their scheming and plotting. I love it!!! "What is the point of having f*** money, if you never say f*** You!!! I also loved me some Wags!!! He is a hooooooot!!! This show taught me sooooo much of what really goes on behind the scenes in American politics. Now I know why nothing gets done in Congress.
Chuck blew up his life to get Axe and never did it.
Yes he never did but the writers missed a beat on that one. If chuck did for a season and came out on top it would've boasted his character. And to have chuck and axe work together to take down the ant man guy it didnt fit
Ou he did, he destroyed Axel’s good guy facade to the public, destroyed his shot of ever owning a football team and made him leave the country for over a year to avoid going to jail lol
@@pelu101that’s like getting beat up while getting a good hit in then bragging about that one moment during the engagement…Chuck lost.
Clearly. NO DEBATING 😂😂😂😂
@@coolguylawrence except the post isn't about who won, it's about Chuck getting to Axe and he did. He hurt him a lot. I already explained how in my first post lol
@@pelu101 yeah I get you but chuck tried to beat axe and lost..all that does is prove my point. So he was a pain in the ass ..so what? In the grand scheme of things who gives a shit?? He picked a fight with a stronger opponent repeatedly and lost repeatedly.
"Owh she have you well trained"
The Bobby-Chuck bestie arc was great but too short-lived. They could've conquered the world together.
Paul Giamatti's got that *DEEP* voice.
So sad it ended. Great show.
Chuck lost 8 million just to put axe in jail for one night. This mofo is crazy likenaxe
Maj winters ptsd took its toll
Show had some of the best writing i seen once damian left its like they replaced every writer with unexperienced people. The delivery of the lines and wit, cleverness of the show was so good up until damian left
Chuck is so damn vile and hypocritical but his ambition for power, control and to bring down those IN power is so damn invigorating.
Axe is a billionaire prick who we root for because he appreciates loyalty and takes care of his own. BUT he does illegal trading, and absolutley hates when someone gets under his skin no matter how petty.
These characters are so petty and hate each other but my god they are 2 sides of same coin and refuse to acknowledge it. 👏👏👏
Great point ,well said !
Masterful compilation! Well done!
To be honest, after the first season, everyone became a parody of their own characters 😂❤ and every season, it just got more polarized.
And no one ever explained how Chuck the human Teddy Bear body hair and all pulled his wife 😂❤
This is the comment I was looking for. Not a bunch of superlatives, but an appreciation of what it was and what it became. Two people like that don't come to a head for 7 seasons, one of them breaks or both of them die wuite quickly.
@BFCNick To be honest, the Axe character just became unbearable. I mean, we all know God complexes exist on Wall Street. But for the life of me I can't even think of anything blindingly brilliant Axe did to accrue a greater return or increase his fortune.
If anything for the entire time it felt like he was standing still fortunewise?
@@Advoc8te4Truth it's all about presentation. Maybe it was just advertising two men who wouldve been so much better as Lex Luthor than Jesse Eisenberg...
I watched this and it’s sooo goood 😂😂😂
When they go low, we go lower
I hate the fact Billions is underrated
What a show.
The sexual tension is palpable.
This should be on cornhub
5:28 in an alternative universe which is likely not to happen, what if they accidentally kissed? I just think that under the exterior of such hate and tensions it's purely love and affection. 😉
Honestly couldn't see myself siding with Chuck at all in the series even though he's the "good guy". Always found myself agreeing with Axe instead lol
I could see if you said that in the last few seasons. Chuck just didn't like the rich and powerful being in charge...even though he was rich and powerful and in charge.
Technically he not the good guy he abused the system to raose his power ranks 😂😂😂 i always felt like chuck and axe were perfect together.
Because you aspire to his wealth and accumulations. But the funny thing is, you unlikely ever will.
Now we got Chuck vs Axe, but what about Axe vs Taylor or Axe vs Prince?😅
If only these guys would shut their mouths
@Billions ... Please do a recap on Karl Allerd😂
Chuck destroying a Van Gogh just to mess with Bobby is the most despicable thing Chuck has done. You can cross some lines and will be ok. But actively messig with Human history for personal gain is just disgusting
It always annoyed me the fact that is not how he tore the cheque up.
Axe always wins in the end he is the man
Imagine Axelrod vs Fortsman!!!!!!!!!
Imagine a billions crossover with suits 😮💨
5:50 is how you know Axe is not a true economist. Employers/owners don't create jobs, customers do.
Matt you raise a good question
( The great man theory) 💯
So if you set up a shop in the forest, hire staff, market to customers, encourage them to come and customers come, you didn’t help create the jobs. Customers would have magically turned up there with no shop? Lol
@@markmiller6111 @markmiller6111 no one said the owner didn't help, but without customers, the owner of the shop doesn't have money, and without money, the owner can't pay for labor. Demand dictates product and service consumption.
No one would set up a shop in the forest, unless people were already going to the forest in search of a product, experience, service. Ask yourself this would the owner want to start a shop where consumers need the product, or where consumers don't need the product.
@@matt23151 lmao ok. The owner created the customers by setting up shop. The owner took all the risk, the customers are just there for their benefit. 95% of startups fail. You see successful businesses and get jealous of their success and lucky owner taking advantage of workers and customers, but for every one that succeeds, 19 fail. Or maybe more than that.
There will always be demand (customers), if you’re willing to take the risk and have the foresight to be able to create the supply, and either take advantage of existing demand or create new demands, then of course you’ll be rewarded for it.
And yes the owner can either create demand or take advantage of existing demand.
Nobody demanded for smart phones, Steve jobs created one that was user friendly enough and suddenly it was in demand. Same with computers. And probably now the same with electric cars.
Or you could take advantage of existing demand. Maybe a village in Africa don’t have electricity or water supply. Without it, they’re screwed. You as the owner takes the risk of setting up supply over there, and suddenly you created a mutually beneficial transaction between you and the customers. But that transaction wouldn’t have been possible without you.
There’s demand everywhere, it’s up to the owners to identify those and provide the supply.
@@matt23151 The ability to market the product you created is part of the reasons why owner are important and valued. Customers are always out there, being able to talk to them is on you.
She has you well trained?
Lol😂😂😂
Lewis could play donald trump so well
Life time ban 😂😂😂...
Chuck should have taken the win and Axe the hit...
Chuck did the right thing strategically: Axe by settling showed that he has something to hide, so Chuck pressed
@bexultanassanov1930 and lost in the end because he didn't take the win when it was handed to him. He would have been a hero for recouping 1.9 billion. People would think he walked on water. Instead, he lost basically everything important to him in the constant attempt to nail Axe and he never did.
@@rpsnider85 ig he needed to know if axe thought that he did wrong
This show is so interesting cause we root for the billionaire over the prosecutor.
Axe does illegal things that are commonplace for billionaires (insider trading and bribery) while generally being a good dude.
Chuck abuses his power to seek vengeance on everyone around him while being a general asshole to everyone.
Rich white collar criminal vs corrupt lawyer 😆
Elon MUSk: What's the point of having fuck you money if you never say fuck you?
Best arch enemies in tv since Tony Soprano and Philly Leotardo
Connected by family, a lawyer v businessman...it's J.R. and Cliff Barnes redux
Axe is the bad guy and clearly guilty and the fact the at people are on his side because “he’s cool” shows the problem in our society.
Chuck cut some big corners too. Just sayin
How many Billions did Axe lose by hiding in Switzerland?
I remember he started owning 10B at season 1.
How much was left to him?
He kept 2B
This whole show was a psyop against me.
They owed me billions, they made this instead.
They still owe me billions
Never trust a they them….
.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Mmmmm
This show is about Money. I wish somebody would take me under there wing & Teach me how to make 326k to buy my Grandmothers House Back! That my Aunt stole from my Grandmother when she first got dementia.. She manipulated my Grandmother into paying her for a house that was already paid for 100 times over!. This is my Reason To need this much money. Everything els I’m taught to make I’ll give it all to you. I’ll sign whatever and work whatever for how ever long I need too. I just need an option or opportunity. From somebody who can truly teach me financially
In real life, lots of people know who The Wolf of Wall Street is. Nobody knows what minion or minions got him or even gives a shite, and the Wolf is rich again. The minions are either still mere minions, retired or dead.
The finale was so bad and made zero sense in the real world
Chuck is Karen
Good show to begin… Show went down the woke gender agenda route 🤢
Mmmmm
