Ken, I'm 70 and have been working on cars since I was 16 year's old. I can say without any holdbacks that you are the best mechanic that I have ever met! Hands down, new cars or old, you are the best. Sometimes I am tempted to buy another care just so you can work on it for me.
Even if I would have told him a certain day that I would fix the car. He still would have called me every single day . After only a few weeks of dealing with this customer, I already had as much as I could take.
I just dealt with a retired person. He wanted some custom fender mounts for a mini trike he is building. Hounded me every day after I looked at it and was working on some drawings and a cut file for brackets. He could not wait two days. He texted me saying he is all set and does not need me. So thankful, but again wasted my time into it.
This guy also wanted a break on the price . 😳. I’ve only dealt with this guy for a few weeks. I’m sure glad I will never work on anything for him again.

I've fired a few customers over the years for similar reasons. It's so frustrating. I don't know if I've had one this bad though.

yep one of the reasons i wont start another business. i just hate dealing with customers! most are pretty good but all you need is that one bad one!

The Corvette guy sounds like a bad penny for sure.
He said he use to work at a pharmaceutical company. He probably did a bunch of drugs and his brains are fried.
