    Excellent choice. I went for the silver dial with rose gold markers and hands. Have had it for 2 years now and it has delivered impeccable service. Runs at +4 seconds; I think mine has the ETA. I use it as an everyday kind of watch. It works amazingly well on various aftermarket straps!

      That’s a nice spec. I have to try out some straps with it.

    Great video; thanks! I am looking to buy one used and I am torn between the black and white dials. I noticed in your video, unlike others, that the numbers and indices on the dial don’t stand out against the black background. I’m not crazy about that. I feel like I’ve been tipped towards the white dial.

    I've posted a few comments about your tudor video, and how much your video inspired me and kept me going strong. I don't know where you live but I live in hawaii and work in waikiki. I was having problems with my girlfriend so I moved out, I make a good income so I decided to move out but it was on a Saturday and finding apt.. in hawaii can be challenging so I went to the mall for Coffee and to think and chill out. I was watching videos on the phone when I came across your video after watching the history of rolex.and was instantly inspired so I went to Ben Bridge watches to see if thay had it, and sure enough thay had 3 model's. Soon as I held it in my hand I knew instantly I couldn't live without it and was willing to spend my apt. Money to have it. Most won't go this far and are not crazy enough nor strong enough to going like that for a few week's but I was.
    After work everyday I watch your video about the tudor 1926 and stay focused pushing hard, then on a Thursday morning I walked in with Starbucks coffee and told the guy, please hand me my watch and let's pay for it. He then said to me... you look like you didn't get much sleep last night, I laughed and walked out with my watch on.
    Your video will inspire many people.
    Thank you

      That really means a lot. Tudor made a beautiful watch that stand the test of time. They also made it relatively affordable. I’m in the DC area now but I grew up in Puerto Rico, so I k know a thing or two about living in the tropics.

    Great review very helpful and informative I currently own two Tissot the prx and seastar 1000 both automatic and both terrific for what there priced at
    I am now looking to buy my next watch with a budget of around $2500 swiss watch only. I am considering this watch very seriously along with the tudor royal , Maurice lacrouix Aikon , longines hydroconquest .. I feel as if I’m leaning towards a 1926 because of its heritage and also because I feel it’s just very classy some may say the dials a bit plain, I agree but it oozes class and carries tremendous history in this specific watch, in my opinion
    Also, for around $2000, I cannot believe I could buy into such an incredible brand like Tudor
    Anyone wearing a Tudor should be very proud, it’s not a Rolex obviously but it’s Rolex’s sister brand. ( quite hard to beat)
    Wear it with pride !

    I have the 39mm white dial with blue markers and hands. I love it. I think it looks just as good with a t and jeans than with a blazer and slacks. The bracelet is top notch even though I did wish it had a couple of half links or some micro adjust but since it’s a thin watch i don’t mind wearing it slightly loose

    • @TheTimekeeper
      @TheTimekeeper  3 года назад +2

      I was torn between that spec and the one a bought. Part of me wishes I had chosen the 39 since the 41 wears a little big but I still love it.

    Great Review, I chose the 1926 36mm rose gold white dial and everything about this watch is quality. Can be worn in most situations. I wear it as a daily beater but I say that because it's capable of standing up to wear and still look great and function. Screw down crown & caseback. Rolex quality for a working person's budget, to a tee

      You can definitely pull it off. I really like the 1926. I'll never sell it since I bought the same reference for my wife in 28mm. It's a great watch with a very reliable movement. Lower cost to service it down the line too. You can find them for $1,500 sometimes too.

    I love the rolex, tudor history. A great guy that came from nothing that invented the best watch in the world. Unless your a rolex guy you simply won't understand what I'm about to say, but the watch makes the man. myself I was willing to go threw he'll to buy my first rolex back in 2003. But I never would have thought I was willing to dance on the flames again until I saw the Tudor 1926 41mm. I slept on the beach and worked my ass off in hawaii to get mine,
    That's how important this all was and still is.
    Broke up with my girlfriend over lack of trust, slept on the beach at the Hawaiian Hilton village 51 nights to get mine. And the watch is worth the journey, my first night with the watch I stayed at the royal Grove in waikiki and stayed up most the night just injoying the watch. It's very well made and shiny as hell and very smooth on the skin it's worth the journey and grind i promise.

    I had a Tudor Black Bay 58, and the whole time I owned it, all I could think of was how I wanted it to be a Rolex.. Now I hear there's waitlists for Tudor which really upsets me because it's supposed to be the more obtainable watch in the Rolex family. But this does seem like a nice piece

    Looks good on photos, but underwhelming in person. Mostly because of the dial. The legibility of the black one is not the best to put it lightly. And I found the small safety clasp to be flimsy when I checked this out at the nearest Tudor retail. Too bad. Because otherwise the concept could have actually worked with greater care.

    • @TheTimekeeper
      @TheTimekeeper  2 года назад +2

      It's a safe design for sure. Personally, I like its classic understated look. I have not experienced issues with legibility and no issues with the clasp either. The clasp disengages easily but it never felt flimsy.

    • @dogsarebetterproductions
      @dogsarebetterproductions 2 года назад +1

      You’re saying the blackbay and the Tudor Royal all have a flimsy clasp. They all share the same milled shield shaped piece of metal with ceramic ball bearings of different sizes. Both my Royal and Black Bay 58 have phenomenal actioned clasps. I get great satisfaction from them. I get each to their own but I think this may be a case of someone not knowing what they were holding and expecting more from inexperience. Or maybe their collection is all AP and VC.
