Have this exact watch--totally agree with you that it's fabulous, under-rated and super value. I'd say it absolutely can be an all-arounder, not just a dress watch.
Yes I also believe it is a All around watch , the only thing that makes it a dress watch is the bracelet but i believe if you put it on rubber it would look sporty , I'd be curious to see
Tomorrow I am picking mine, but the white dial with gold indices and dark brown leather strap. Can't wait! Your excellent review helped me to pull the trigger LOL
I really enjoy your reviewing style, very comprehensive, educational and entertaining to watch. I tried on a 1926 at my local AD while shopping for a Tudor BB58. I ended up buying the BB58 (and love it), but I was impressed with the 1926. A clean design with an interesting dial. It offers an excellent way to get into the world of luxury watches (and the Tudor/Rolex family) at a reasonable price. I would definitely consider picking up a 36mm 1926 in the future - I am really into 36mm watches now, they are so much more comfortable to wear than my larger watches and 36 mm has been the classic "gentleman's size" for many decades.
Thank you. Tudor make some great stuff overall. I never took a second look at the 1926 until seeing it in person. It really is a cool one. Congrats on the 58, hope you enjoy it
I am totally with you enjoying smaller, thinner, dressier watches these days. I just picked up a 36.5mm Chopard that wears very similar to your Tudor. That size is a breath of fresh air on the wrist. The 1926 may be the cleanest dial you've reviewed, and for the money that's a really pleasant surprise. As always I enjoyed watching. Thank you.
Once you see how comfortable the smaller watches are it’s hard to go back! You’ll have to send me a picture of that chopard, not a brand that’s ever on my radar but I’m consistently suprised by the pieces I end up seeing. Thanks for watching!
Oh! We got a peep of turquoise there near the end 🤩. Love your Tudor. Really beautiful and elegant. I think I might have preferred it on the straps. Great review; I loved the macro shots a lot.
Kurono review soon 😉 I actually recorded the pink/salmon dial version a while ago but just never got around to posting it! And agreed I actually prefer it a little more on the straps too. Thanks for watching!
Saw this in an AD’s window display but didn’t pay it much attention until this video. Highly impressive looking dress watch that I’ll look into again. Bravo Tudor 👏
Wow great videos , really the most in dept 1926 video on RUclips, I'm glad you tried a silicone strap on it , i think it would look great with a blue rubber !
I find this watch very interesting because one must take it apart and examine it closely to determine what kind of movement is actaully inside of it. I expect this from Invicta, but not Tudor.
Thanks for the great review!! On a side note. I cant imagine wearing my watch above the wristbone, it is so uncomfortable for me and it also looks kinda weird having the watch so close to your hand.
Great review. Very comprehensive. I have this one in 41mm with the gold indices and hands on the brown strap. The deployment is great. The only complaint I have on it is the 38 the power reserve but then again I. Getting applied by the 70 hour reserve on other Tudors. All in all it’s winner at the price point IMO.
We need more versatile watches like this in the market instead of divers, GMTs and chronos. We have the DJ, Aqua Terra, this one. There should be more that are smart/casual. Great watch. Would prefer this on a leather strap.
If they added lume to the hands, this watch would be perfect for me. Its pretty close already, I just bought one. Micro-adjust on the bracelet would be a bonus as well, but not a deal breaker. On the 2 tone models, I really think the crown should be gold.
Briefly had one (buy / sell / trade all the time)... even with my small wrist though, I thought the 36mm was just a bit too small. I think a 39 would be perfect and may get one that size one day. Great looking watch!
This looks best on a strap IMO, especially utilizing the deployment clasp. I have several Tudors in the Black Bay line but plan to get the 1926 in 39. The blue indices caught my attention first but I also like the gold indices version.
Same here, always eyed the but never pulled the trigger, finally linked up to wear the right size was in at the AD when I was there. Killer watch. Hope you get one next year!
Waiting for this exact watch to ship... having had datejust and explorer in the past ( both 36) I am excited for an affordable option for an oyster case built under the same roof as Parent company Rolex. Great indebth Review of this Tudor.
@@theknightswatch I like the 12 and 6 they have over Nomos design which feels a little weird. But agreed I sold mt Dunkel because I could not get over the lugs. It is just too weird to get used to and ruins the look for me.
I love the white/blue in 41. However, you said 15spd off! That's insane. The very worst $200 Seiko I've owned was only +14 and I quickly regulated it back down to +2. I'd be extremely disappointed to get a new Tudor with a +/- 15 regardless of it being an ETA or sw200.
Especially these days, there are so rarely situations where you have to wear a dress watch... it's hard to justify a purchase on a decently quality dress watch. This one is super nice lookin'.
@@mrbacchus6127 True, though if it's a diver you can securely swim with it, which is something people do care about, and also a timing bezel is suuuuper handy. Personally I find dress watch designs lose their interest for me more quickly than tool watches -- there just aren't as many aesthetic aspects on them to appreciate, usually. More stuff going on means more stuff to notice and appreciate when you happen to look at it. I always want to get a nice dress watch, but then I'm like, how much wrist time is this really going to get? I barely even ever wear blazers anymore much less a suit!
@@yoinkhahaIt is true that I am considering this watch over some other dressy options because of the 100m water resistance. Most others are annoyingly 30mm splash resistant.

They are usually more comfortable than sports watches and I like the subtlety. To each their own! I get the appeal of Dive/sport watches but in my opinion it’s a lot easier to dress down a dress watch than dress up a sports one.
Wonder why they didn't heat blue the indicies and hands. Cost likely, but seems like something a brand like Tudor would just default to. Hmmm. Still like the watch though
It's a stroopwafel dial haha. I think this is a watch Tudor should have used their rose logo instead of the shield. Fits that dressier looks much better imo.
