I have learned more from you in less than a week than in 30 years of playing and others trying to teach me…Thank you so much for going step by step and great explication of each part of the swing
Aimee, you saved my golf swing with this lesson! I took your hinge out to the range, and it got me back on plane. I’ve been so frustrated, so thank you for your lessons!!♥️
GREAT lesson Aimee! My wife is taking beginner lessons. I have her following your beginner's series in addition to what her local teacher is telling her. And additional videos where you add more detail and tips. She truly appreciates your teaching indeed. We both think you are amazing! Nice to see you on GolfNow, too. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Dear Aimee your hinging lesson is just amazing i am 60 years old after applying your technique I not only gained 15 to 20 yards I am hitting them stright wow thank you…
Realised when I saw this video that I am not hinging at all. I just take the club back and up and my wrists stay passive. Time to hit the range 😀 thanks for this
Great lesson, as a left handed golfer thanks for using lead and trail , so much quicker to understand the lesson instead of always converting left and right 😘
Really liked Aimee's instruction. When I took Aimee's tips to the range, it took 10 or so swings to "get the feel," but after that I could feel the increased club head speed and ball compression. Thought the three "pushes" would be difficult to think about, but actually the thoughts helped me complete my backswing better and definitely gain more distance.
Great lesson! I practiced this the day before I went to course. Guess what, I got my dream distance (between 210 -230; lady; red tee :) ) and reduced my overswing a lot. Thank you Aimee, love ya!
Great mechanical tips to simplify the takeaway and the hinge. And in the interest of full disclosure, if I'm going to take lessons about my golf swing from someone, they are much easier to take from someone as cute as Aimee. Talk about keeping my attention!
the 3 push is probably a great tip, will try it tomorow, I have this inside take away for a long time but did know how to correct, in my living room it worrks great, thx
Great lesson, Ms. Aimee! I have been waiting so eagerly for this Driver series. I love your tip on the lag. I think the absence of the lag and releasing immediately has been what was causing my driver hooks. Can’t wait to try your tips. Thank you!
Hey Aimee! Just found your videos recently and have to say you do an excellent job of breaking it all down (and keeping it simplified)!! Looking forward to seeing more from you 😁
Watched this right before I left for my round and helped big time with my driver! Majority of my drives were straight or a straight draw. I tend to slice and only sliced on the 18th hole today. Practice swings are usually ok but once i put a ball in front of me I take it back way too much on the inside. Nothing has really helped that issue on the actual swing until this! Hopefully it wasn't a fluke but will keep working on it! Thanks Aimee!
This makes sense. I can’t wait to try. I’m a bit afraid of the aiming arms to the right on the down swing but I’ll try and report back. THANKS for your coaching!
Hmoua! Yes, Aimee. Thank you for helping me to improve my game (virtually without practice) just by learning from your videos! I am in Canberra and just took up golf in October 2020. Today, since Covid-19 lockdown has been lifted because over 80% of the population are fully vaccinated, I have done 3 rounds and scored 42, then 33 and today 39, hitting greens in regulation. I only need to work on my terrible putting average (so many 3 putts and at least a couple of 4 putts per round). I think that I know what is my problem, I think that it is over-thinking and rushing things... Again, thank you. From Canberra with love and affection.
ahh, that 8 o'clock hinge. Got to still work on that. also thanks for the lag & release moves, i was wondering about that in the driver swing. (hips lead, hands follow. relax your arms!)
Thanks Aimee. This video got me from a 5 handicap to a +1 in one season. At age 59 I have been a 3 to 7 for 40 years. I am not sure why, maybe timing. You are my new hero.
if you extend the left wrist at the top , you also could flex the left wrist in the downswing to close the face of the club by impact... notice that the left wrist will be extended at the finish .... therefore, the left wrist goes from extension at the top , to flexion at impact, and back to extension at the finish...
Great hints for the driver, especially on the lag and release part. Will do the drill when back on our home golf course this weekend. We played the same course the LET ladies did some two weeks ago in Holland, when they played The Big Green Egg Dutch Ladies Open. So nice, as we volunteered to help out on this LET tournament to then play the some course as well. It is sure good to see those awesome women play from close up, one can learn a lot as well from just watching them.
Hello dear... Nice meeting you in here. May I have the chance to know the Angel behind this beautiful face? Sorry for dropping this in your comment section. Please don't be offered if you don’t mind I would love to know you and I hope am aren’t in any way a bother to you 💌💌💌
revisited this lesson -- very important to have a good grip and hinge (not rotate). Then that POINT the toe of your driver to the right of the target. "POINT the toe." another important point. slowly getting there...
Aimee it's so cute how she will give that little " oh that was good" after she hits a ball she is amazing Amiee's videos have helped my game so much thanks Amiee for all your awesome videos !
Good explanation video what do you mean when you state that when you hinge late you lose lag how does it apply to setting the club at the top when I sat the weight of the club in my index finger kindly advise thanks for your help Jack
Great lesson Aimee. What do you mean by ‘on plane’ or ‘plane’. Your draw a line on 2D computer screen but in golf swing club shaft and hands move 3D space. So there’re no specific plane but many many planes the club shaft and hands on every moments when one swing. Though Ben Hogan used swing plane concept but it was old time.
I'm wondering if this is the same principle with a 3 wood ? I'm taking these lessons out to the range now as it's winter months here in Germany - I'm going to have a winter season using these lessons and will track my handicap for next season (18.3) because i am absolutely convinced that your effortless style of hitting the ball will get me shooting my lowest scores ever - thanks Aimee !
This video is 2 years old and I'm just seeing it. My entire driver backswing feels 100 times better. I'm 52 and loosing flexibility but this helped me get the driver back further with fluid motion. Can this also be applied to irons?
Hi Aimee, Regarding your video “Do this and you will never hit a fat iron shot(Ep.2)” , you have advise that the movement of right shoulder should be very low. What is the movement of it on the driver swing? Should there be any difference? Thank you in advance for your answer. /pee

This is one of the best and simplest instructions on driver takeaway I've seen, and tried. Thanks, it works! 👍
Aimee, you saved my golf swing with this lesson! I took your hinge out to the range, and it got me back on plane. I’ve been so frustrated, so thank you for your lessons!!♥️
I understand how frustrated you can become when can not hit the small ball.
Best drive of the day today following the steps and keeping the elbow close to the belly button. I hope this is a sign of good things to come.

Wow! Did not know this! My body is so abused from 27 years of not knowing. Aimee is so gracious with her time to teach and show us the way. ❤
this video was so helpful. Using the two handed drill has helped me catch the right feels. Thank you!!
This video cured my slice and added an extra 10. Thanks, and it makes sense. The bonus tips are the cherries on top. I will never forget this tip.
Dear Aimee your hinging lesson is just amazing i am 60 years old after applying your technique I not only gained 15 to 20 yards I am hitting them stright wow thank you…
😅

Aimee's back baby! Fantastic lesson thanks so much Aimee.
Thank you! 😃
You are THE best golf instructor ever! Thank you! I am hitting better than ever.
Aimee I was struggling with my driver until I came across your video. I’m now more consistent and hitting 25 yards further !!! Thanks !!
Great lesson, as a left handed golfer thanks for using lead and trail , so much quicker to understand the lesson instead of always converting left and right 😘
I love Aimee. She goes slow and gives simple instructions.
Aimee you're great - you have no idea how much improvement I've enjoyed in my game base on your videos
thank you
jim
tried it, on the range and golf course, it WORKS WONDERFULLY !!! lov it

You’re terrific and have helped my swing immensely.

Checking my swing at 8 o’clock showed me exactly what I was doing wrong with my wrists in the backswing. Only video I’ve seen that did this!
This is Coach Aimee @ her very best! First class lesson. Thank you!
Very good advice and I’ll be doing this in my next round!
Thanks so much!
Love this VID, NOTHING BUT SMOKE DOWN THE MIDDLE!!!!
U made me play golf again...simple, applicable, fun thank u
Excellent explanation. Brilliant. Thanks so much.
Nice lesson Aimee. I like that early hinge with the club head outside the hands. This early and correct action alone produces great shots!
the 3 push is probably a great tip, will try it tomorow, I have this inside take away for a long time but did know how to correct, in my living room it worrks great, thx
I have been watching several of your videos about the driver and they are really helpful. Thanks for your simple explanations.
Awesome tip. Beautiful release of club.
Great lesson, Ms. Aimee! I have been waiting so eagerly for this Driver series. I love your tip on the lag. I think the absence of the lag and releasing immediately has been what was causing my driver hooks. Can’t wait to try your tips. Thank you!
Just a wonderful person and teacher

Welcome aboard! Thank you so much!
Helpful. Explained in detail, easily understood. Now to practice
great video on the hinge with excellent explanations :) thumbs up!
Such a great video. Finally the release makes sense to me! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! 👍⛳️
As usual Aimee. Very well explained and able to be understood, even for an oldie like me with fog for a brain. Many thanks.
Well explained. I used to just push at start of takeaway and didn't get the lag I do now. You are an excellent instructor!
what i like the most, u have exact same content in two different languages, thx
excellent instruction !!! I like your new fashion -style too.
Thank you for your lessons! My driver added 20 yards with your wrist lessons.❤😮😊

Thank you Aimee. Very well done & helpful
Great drill, Aimee. Gamsahabnida!
Very good video Aimee. Thank you
Bunos well accepted. Thanks a lot coach
Great lesson. Thanks. I'm definitely going to practice this.
This makes sense. I can’t wait to try. I’m a bit afraid of the aiming arms to the right on the down swing but I’ll try and report back. THANKS for your coaching!
It WORKS. I’ve never hit so well. Wow and thanks
Glad to hear it!! Thanks 😍
Great tips and love your swing WOW ❤
Nice explanation 👍🏼. Will certainly try it

So this video is right on the money for me right now
Oh nice! Glad to help!! Thanks for sharing:)

Excellent , thank you
Nice lesson Aimee💖
Thanks Aimee gr8 advice 🤟
Glad it was helpful! 😊 Thanks
Love it, Aimee. Thanks for sharing this very helpful tip.
You are awesome. Just stared watching. Within 1 week I dropped 10 strokes. Went from 95 to 85 almost instantly. 👍🏼💯👍🏼💯
Great drills. I like to practice my form. Thank you.
Great detail for the important driver swing!
if you extend the left wrist at the top , you also could flex the left wrist in the downswing to close the face of the club by impact... notice that the left wrist will be extended at the finish .... therefore, the left wrist goes from extension at the top , to flexion at impact, and back to extension at the finish...
Great drill - many thanks !
I think two huge issues for amateurs, lack of early wrist hinge and not lifting arms earlier in swing. Great video!
Love your style!
Thanks a mill Aimee 🌻🌻🤓

Aimee I like the introduction, very cute!!!!

Love this~ Take care Aimee~
Thanks!!
Aimee Cho love
After watching all of your driver series and applying them, the driver becomes my favourite. Your lessons work well for me. Thanks a million, Aimee!
Great video. Would you have the same thought with irons?
Good explanation video what do you mean when you state that when you hinge late you lose lag how does it apply to setting the club at the top when I sat the weight of the club in my index finger kindly advise thanks for your help Jack
Great lesson Aimee. What do you mean by ‘on plane’ or ‘plane’. Your draw a line on 2D computer screen but in golf swing club shaft and hands move 3D space. So there’re no specific plane but many many planes the club shaft and hands on every moments when one swing. Though Ben Hogan used swing plane concept but it was old time.
Hi Aimee, can you do a elderly persons swing please, remembering we don't have as much dexterity as we use to, handicap 6
At impact: what part of the body feels the ball: hand, arms, shoulder, or the core?
I'm wondering if this is the same principle with a 3 wood ? I'm taking these lessons out to the range now as it's winter months here in Germany - I'm going to have a winter season using these lessons and will track my handicap for next season (18.3) because i am absolutely convinced that your effortless style of hitting the ball will get me shooting my lowest scores ever - thanks Aimee !
Great lesson and makes a lot of sense! Don't some pros hinge differently than how you describe or do they all hinge the exact same way?
Great lesson. I still find I toe the club. Could you do a lag release lesson?
Ooh a good one. I’ll look into it. Thanks for that 👍
Question:
What the difference between lifting the club and push down?
Hi Aimee, thanks for your helpful tips. I noticed you have a cupped wrist at the top, shdnt it be flat?
Thanks Aimee for the wonderful videos.
Do you hinge the driver same as the iron?
Hi Chantel! Yes, the concept is the same. With shorter clubs you’ll find that hinging feels easier. Hope this helps! Thank you 😊
@@GolfWithAimee thanks awesome! You are my favourite golf teacher!
This video is 2 years old and I'm just seeing it. My entire driver backswing feels 100 times better. I'm 52 and loosing flexibility but this helped me get the driver back further with fluid motion. Can this also be applied to irons?
Hi, I’m so glad this helped! And yes. It applies to irons swings as well👍 Thank you!
Can senior golfers use a shorter backswing
Hi Aimee, Regarding your video “Do this and you will never hit a fat iron shot(Ep.2)” , you have advise that the movement of right shoulder should be very low. What is the movement of it on the driver swing? Should there be any difference? Thank you in advance for your answer. /pee
It seems you are turning your right hip circularly from the top of the backswing to retain the lag angle and produce the momentum to release the club.
