That was the very best instruction I have ever seen about getting the club to, and setting it at the top!
Aimee! I'm doing everything you taught us in this video. Including every little detail. And it's turning out to be the finest golf instruction I've ever had the good fortune to receive. At first, I was substituting a couple of my preferred techniques - actually thinking yours sounded too detailed, too small to make a difference. Boy was I wrong! Following your instructions to the letter is now allowing my swing to come alive in ways I hadn't thought possible. I just want to thank you greatly for offering this advise to me and all my fellow golfers. It is pure gold. 🙏🙏😊😊💕💕
Hi Michael! Super thrilled to hear that I’m able to help with your golf🙌🙌 Thanks for the sweet message and thanks for sharing it with us♥️♥️
Aimee you are the best, I've watched way too many RUclips lessons to the point of confusion, but I always come back to Aimee, to fix the bad habits. So, when I say Aimee's the best golf coach on RUclips that's because she is.
Some of these online instructors have a great concept of the swing, but it gets really technical and hard to understand, much less put into play. This is my new favorite golf channel. Aimee and Manolo are so good and giving you a simple feel or concept rather than a complicated instruction full of lingo.
Great job Amie, not many coaches talk about the index finger , it's so important, Wayne Defrancico also mentions it quit often! it really set the right tention and pressure in the backswing, Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Aimee's swing coaching is pure gold. "Straight back, hinge, turn", "step, turn and follow thru" thoughts have significantly helped my game. Her clear explanations were spot on for me and really unlocked my swing. I almost can't believe how much my compression has improved. Thank you so much Aimee!
Thanks Aimee. I'm a seasoned golfer and I never really had a solid grasp on where to exactly to set the club. Now, I do and it works (for me). Great tip! Ron
Absolutely spot on. Whenever my swing gets erratic and/or my ball striking becomes inconsistent, the usual culprit is not setting the club at the top. It may seem odd that such a seemingly minor part of the total swing can have that much influence, but it really does. Proper setting at the top makes a huge difference in my ballstriking. Thanks for the reminder Aimee!
Thanks Aimee for pointing out the short backswing of John Rohm and the fact that it is OK because he stills sets the club. No other instructor would ever point this out! Can't wait to practice and master this!
I watched this for the first time a couple of days ago. Over and over. I went and hit three buckets of balls yesterday at the range really trying to practice my take away very slowly. It really really super helped me! Thank you so so much Aimee ❤ for what you do! Can’t wait to go practice again. ❤🎉
Hi Sandy, I'm so glad the lesson was helpful! Thank you for sharing! 😍❤️
Aimee, you are truly one of the best coaching pro's I had ever seen. When verse in your golf instruction...Totally awesome to have discovered such a beautiful talent. Thank you 👍😊
She explains everything in such a Suttle way. Keeps me focused for the entire lesson.I get aimeefied
I took up golf in 2016, and have been wrestling with clean consistent iron strikes ever since. Despite lessons and coaching, I’ve struggled to get my rhythm and timing. I’ve been working on this technique with no ball for a few days and today took it up to the range. The first half of my bucket of balls were all over the place, scuffed, topped etc and, not for the first time, I honestly felt I can’t do this anymore, it’s just not enjoyable. Then suddenly the index finger clicked, not only did I feel I had all the time in the world to start my downswing (an illusion I know!) I struck my 6,7 and 8 the furthest, straightest, and most compressed ever. I not only finished the bucket of balls without a single duff, shot, I did a second bucket with more or less the same results. It was honestly effortless. Now, I’m a realist, and am know that next time it may be scrappy again, but I’m playing tomorrow, and will be back on the range Thursday and I’m quietly confident, that now, I’ve at least got a solid, workable swing thought and feel to help!! Thanks Aimee ❤️
🙃 Plain, simple, straight and competent. Lady Power at it´s best. Thank You! dear Aimee.
Great teaching thanks
Well done Ami.. finally someone shows this move regarding the correct wrist hinge and to the top move and how it’s done .. thank you
Awesome instruction. Thank you
You're an excellent teacher! Thank you
Great stuff!
Just subscribed. I love the intro with the sound effect of hitting a ball, plus her English is impeccable. She's also very good at explaining things and pointing out the different ways amateurs do things incorrectly. Gom-som-nee-dah!
Thanks Aimee, very nicely done, super explanation of the set at top ❤
Great lesson. Thank you Aimee.
Aimee always amazing. Thank you for one best lesson.🥰
This is great teaching
와 한국어 레슨과 별도로 동일한 내용을 영어 레슨을 또 해주시다니.. 너무 좋아요! 영상 둘다 보고 있어요^^
I enjoy your videos so much. You so clearly break down each part of the swing to understandable, simple elements. I have learned so much from you. Thank you, Aimee.
You’re actually such a great teacher
Very interesting - I like this - I will be practicing this through the winter- thank you
Great job Aimee
Another great lesson Aimee. I’ve been out of commission (via injury) for a couple of months, so this will be a great way to get back into a rhythmic motion. Hope all is well! ❤
Thank you!! best lesson ever.
Shes really good. Thank you.
It really was the beat lesson ive ever gotten can’t wait to go to the range. Thank you
Thank to Amee, your lesson is easy to understand.
오 재밌어요 🎉🎉
Thanks for a great lesson.
I play with a slightly weak/neutral grip. I actually “need” to feel a slight bowing of the lead wrist. However, I’m glad that you pointed out that there is a chance of injury, if your wrist isn’t used to this. A neutral, or strong grip won’t require this weird feeling “bow”. There are some videos out there that accurately explain how certain grips match up with certain wrist positions. I loved how you described feeling the weight of the club(at the top) in your trail hand index finger. I had never heard that. But it’s true! I had always just tried to point the butt of the club towards the ball/target line. Both feelings will give you the correct “set” that you need. Great, great video.
Always the best videos better than any other channel I always feel like your talking to me
You really are a fantastic instructor. Thanks...a fan of your instruction and making learning easy and simple !
Best instructions.
Love how you take your time to teach me how to play golf. 😊
Hi Aimee I just want to thank you for all your videos and wish you happiness and much success in the New Year! Keep ‘em coming please!
Thank you! Happy new year to you too ☺️
Great instructions. Thank you for sharing!
This was a masterclass, Aimee. As always, the concepts were all very well explained! Keep these coming!! 🎉👍👍💯💯🔥🔥
GREAT LESSON!! THANK YOU!!! I tried all of this at the range today and POW!
Nice , top swing
relaxing the club , good tip. Thanks
Thanks Aimee...you're fantastic!❤
Like the setting at the top tip.
My usual mistake is not completing the backswing, so this video and the transition video will be very helpful. Thx, Aimee!
Wow you explain this really well thank you
Great vdo, thks
Greatest Video Ever,,thank you for a great instrumental video,,learnt so much, improving everyday, it’s so important to learn things right
Thank you 😊 I showed this to my kid golf team; your explanation is the best and easy to understand ❤️🙏🐐
Aimee love your coaching
There’s a lot of golf instruction talking about bowing the lead wrist
This video seems to say the opposite
My natural swing hinges without bowing
I love the trail index finger feel
Thank you
As always, nice explanation keeping it simple!
You're adorable 😍
Really great explanation. Thanks for another great lesson. Love the graphics too, they help keep me on track of what you are doing and saying.
Hi Joe! Thank you! I hope your swing is coming along nicely! Have a lovely weekend! 😊☺️
Thanks! I needed that. Kinda tied a few things together.
Thanks a lot..... This Video gave me more information than my last 10 one on one coaching class
You are the best!!!!!!
Excellent video! I love the way u communicate thankyou for confirming what i feel, Is right!
Love the mentioning of the pressure on index finger. It's a very measurable metrics.
Thanks for the lesson, when I saw you using the tray and it slipped, I thought you need it on your fingers. I swim and have a swim paddle that fits on the hand for swimming and I tried it with the move and it works very well to get the feeling, try it in place of the tray!
Thanks aimee
WOW WHAT A ((((((. GREAT INSTURCTOR. !!!!!! )))))) VERY WELL EXPLAINED AND CLEAR INSTRUCTION . GREAT JOB THANKS AMIEE
Great!
This is exactly how my coach has been teaching me
This is the video that I need and appreciate your excellent lessons.
I'm trying to get back to an 8 HC and now sitting at around 14. I spent time away and now getting back into it. Sometimes when you simply take a step back, review the basics (thank you), it all makes more sense.
Great channel!

많은 도움되고 있습니다.
Only one number one instructor you're the one.
Great Tip, I instantly hit the ball straighter and 12 yards farther for each club. It also help me get at the right position at the top of back swing.
Thank you for sharing! Sounds amazing!
Wow. This is one of the best golf teaching videos I have ever watched. However, I am a little confused. When you talk about feeling the weight of the club in your index finger, you mean the index finger of the trailing hand, and not the lead hand. I am anxious to to watch your other videos.
Your new lesson deepens what I’ve learnt from the previous videos. Thanks ❤️
Aimee. Great instruction. May I ask what your height is?
Hello Aimee
🌺🌺🌺
Pat from Paris
Hi Aimee, do you have any instructional videos on how to draw the golfball with the Driver and irons
Hi Aimee. My name is Luis and recently came across your videos. I think I can identify with them. Is there a video like this about setting the club but more focused on the lead arm and wrist? Thanks
ur Sweet I love it!!
Love today's lesson, dancing at 2:43 and food serving at 4:00. I am ready to learn the 19 holes. But seriously, nice teaching video. Question... do you feel that your swing is slowing down before the impact for the club to accelerate just before the impact? Not sure how to demonstrate the feeling, but when I see pro, there is kind of an action of pausing, just before the head club accelerate dramatically.
Yes, club definitely isn’t moving fast during transition of the swing. Like you mentioned, it almost pauses at the top. And then it picks up speed at impact! Thanks 😊
Hi Aimee, great video. Thank you. My trailing wrist bends backwards. I believe this is what you mean folding back. What if you do not do this but you do late in the backswing? Thanks
Thank you Aimee, very valuable VDO. One question though: When I make a 3/4 swing like Jon Rahm I tend to hit my shots about 10% further than when I make full swing. Any idea why this may be happening?
Should the hips turn at all on the initial takeaway? Or should you try and keep them as still as possible?
Thank you Aimee! does this apply to the driver backswing as well?
Yes, absolutely! 👍 With the longer club, you may experience slight delay in hinging but the concept is the same! I hope this helps 😊
@@GolfWithAimee Thank you for the reply! The most helpful golf channel!
What does folding the wrist do or prevent?
Hi Aimee, I am watching carefully your videos and are learning every day from. Herein you talk about a sharpie, but I could not see what for this sharpie should be. May be I missed something. Please explain. Many thanks / Guenther from Vienna.
Shouldn’t one turn the shoulder and arms to club parallel at the same time initially?
Hi Aimee, I need your help. Do you mean I shall actually fold my trailing right wrist and not mt tailing right elbow/arm during the backswing? I know the right elbow bends evntually anyway at some point Thanks.
I would love to see your technique..
3 degrees of right wrist flexion?
How do you feel about Ben Hogan's advice to not get the index finger involved-unless you already have pretty superior ball striking skills? And thanks.
Hi, I regard Ben Hogan‘s advice as the original “textbook” method for golf. There are a couple things that have been modified due to technology and technique advancements. With the index tip, I believe Ben Hogan already has a very nice support of the club throughout the swing, so he probably didn’t have to pay attention to it. Since he’s so natural at it. However, amateur golfers who don’t know how to compress the ball sometimes needs a thorough guidance on the grip. It always boils down to the same fundamentals. Things need to be explained a little differently, depending on what the golfer is doing. Thanks for a great question ☺️👍
hi Aimee, so are you saying, the club does not have to be in the fingers on the right hand?
Hi, the grip should always be in your fingers, not in the palms! The right hand is rotated under the grip, but it’s still in the fingers more than the palm. I hope this helps. Thanks 😊
👍❤🙏
What if a person has a strong hand grip?
If I try to consciously set the wrists, my right hand gets too dominant. I have to focus on relaxing the right wrist.
Great analysis of problematic average non-professional golfers' again. I love your valuable lessons. Aimee. As an average non-professional golfer, I have 2 problems: -
1) non-consistency swing: I can hit super golf shots 5 out of 10 times. The club face comes into contact with the golf ball in 1/10 of a second. A golf swing involves movement of 200 pieces of bone and 580 pieces of muscles. It is difficult to co-ordinate all bones and muscles in 1/10 of a second. Can you design some training lessons to help us to concentrate on the impact of 1/10 of a second.
2) Too large a variance. My variance (the gap) is too wide, e.g. I can hit a driver 250 yards on a good swing (40% of time) and 100 yards from a bad swing (30%) either to the right or to the left. A gap of 100 and to the right and to the left is unacceptable to me. Can you design a lesson to help us to narrow the variance of each club, i.e. be more consistent?
Thank you and I'll continue to be your fan and follower. 😃
Fold your wrist 3 degrees?
I am wondering if she meant 30 degrees….
I had the same thought. No way is she folding it just 3 degrees. Also, I wonder why it's a problem to do the wrist fold right away instead of taking the club back first.
When one pronates the right hand the left hand pronates as well .. how can it not
ㄱ
You mean 30 degrees?
I'm going with 130 degrees angle of the elbow. Took me a minute to work out which 130 degrees she meant as well. When rotated back, with the club in hand, the right elbow show be at 130 degrees. 90 degrees, maybe ok, more than that right out.
Aimee says “fold 3 degrees in trail wrist” but looking at the video it’s more than that. Maybe 30 degrees?
This is golf not anatomy class but actually you have beautiful hands, look more like a pianist than a golfer. Most golfers seem to me to have short stubby fingers. I doubt it is important just thought you were overly negative.
