I blame the MCU for this obsession with spoilers. Where is my Black Mask Akechi, Sumire, Maruki, Sophie and Zenkichi. They better appear in the rumored fighting game.
Guys we ask Atlus west official website that we want Akechi, Sumire, maruki, sophie and Zenkichi in the phantom thieves, and we want the awakening of Sae Niijima ♥️
considering black mask akechi a spoiler is kind of silly to me because he has sus written on his forehead for the whole game, and especially the second sae’s arc begins edit to be clear I mean atlus is silly
I mean, i didn't like the way they handled a certain playable character new to Royal. People will say "They didn't want to change the story so this character would become playable earlier in the game". Okay...then why even bother? That character joining the party and possible romance felt so half assed because it can only happen late game.
Honestly I think it’s too much to hope for that a spin-off would advance the story in any meaningful way. Did the characters come away meaningfully changed from Strikers? Not really imo. It was just a fun adventure and a chance to spend even more time w/ a cast of characters you care about. And that’s all I’m really expecting out of tactica.
That's fair, I guess I'd just much rather have the spin offs take place after each other a majority of the time instead of getting the half way mark of characters like sumi and akechi
Q2 was great with Akechi, showing us he's really a prince detective for a reason, and P5S really missed their chance of including Sumire into the group. So, I'm just glad Kasumi / Sumire's finally here.
I’ve basically given up on the spin-offs. They really just don’t hit the same way for me as the main games do. I’m excited for P3 Reload and the eventual P6, but not Tactica.
Do you think there's any hope for Zenkichi and Sophia? Im thinking not... And it makes me sad... Since atlus is too afraid to give us true Akechi and Sumire. And combined with the fact that i cant think of any time that they let scramble mix in with Akechi and "Kasumi" before. Which is dumb.
Probably not for this spin off. It's entirely possible we get another dlc pack down the line for them, but if that were the case I'd think that would be announced by now. It's more likely they return in something like an Arena spin off since theyd need a roster of characters or in P5X as gacha units.
@TillerBric ah... right... "X". I honestly keep forgetting that's a thing now. But maybe that's just because I avoid gachas. Which is a shame. Because that means that those gacha specific characters and personas are just forever locked to that one specific thing. And when it inevitably eventually shutdown. All those characters and personas are just gone.
As long as it’s not too expensive I’ll probably be buying, I know it’s bad for stuff but like Kasumi and Akechi are my top 2 favourite characters, so as long as it’s not like £10 I’ll probably buy it (I also have bad spending issues)
listen man just cause its a chibi artstyle doesnt mean its gonna be short, think of strikers, $60 but a full game, no one complained cause it was the same artstyle, dont judge@@dragonsdogma2062
Honestly spoilers aren't something atlus should be worried; the original game is on all platforms now for a reason. If Tactica was coming to all platforms but the original hadn't, okay, I see where you're coming from trying to avoid spoilers, but outside of the reveal trailer it isn't a big deal. Using Black Mask Akechi would be fine because people probably wouldn't know that was akechi if they hadn't played the first semester, and Sumire can just be called Kasumi for the reveal trailer. There. Easy.
yeah i dont get why games these days don't include warnings for spoilers when it comes to any previous game. that and the total price of it all is over a hundred CAD. and for FOMO, preorder bonuses.... personally it doesn't bother me that a spinoff is either canon or "canon" with memory wipe or w/e. but i do understand where people are coming from. i feel like the base or enhanced main game is a bit more hype than spinoffs, spinoffs don't pull off anything that the main games would because for some reason they're scared anyone will pick it up as their first persona game but i do feel that atlus atm has their hands tied, so they can't really offer anything that is worthy of being called a sequel. i'm kind of just excited anyway for this and reload. i like when games dont really need to explain themselves or have it tie into canon to exist. one example is hyrule warriors 1. sure there's a story but i doubt it's canon, it is it's own thing. but AOC was pretty cool for being a sequel (although it did some weird shit later on). might be a weird example but it's the only one i can think of atm i heard someone say that the spinoffs often flanderize the characters, but i do feel that is just bound to happen, and that the spinoffs do give a bit of an excuse for that. i will probably enjoy this spinoff, but it won't blow me away like P5R or P5S. i'm also just excited to hear the new soundtrack and have a new persona game to play with for a bit.
Yeah unfortunately characters are bound to get flanderized purely because especially in stuff like Q and Arena, you have a giant cast and it's impossible to make everyone have the same level of importance and writing time. I wouldn't have as much of an issue with the canon if it wasn't in my expectations from P4 spin offs but at this point that's more of a me problem.
I agree on the fact that it’s bullcrap that A both sumi and gorro are stuck as dlc and forced to be not themselves but a false identity that probably won’t have any effect on the main game and the canon in whole. It pisses me off so much because violet is one of my favorite thieves and the fact that she’s stuck in only royal and only one palace in royal then they just use her as a cash grab, just like bruh.
for me personaly most spin-off games of persona are kinda ehh a lot of them time. So the only persona spin-off i have played was P4 Arena Ultimax, PQ, and PQ2. PQ games are mainly interesting cause its like a fun crossover event imo. P4 Arena Ultimax that should be called P3 Arena Ultimax since the p4 cast in that game just feel like they just exist while the p3 cast is heavily involved in the story. Is a crossover plus continuation. P5 Strikers is a game that i know it has some continuation but im not a fan of the Hyrule Warriors style of gameplay so im never been interested in buying it at full price. P5 Tactical just looks not interesting storywise and just makes me think why didnt they create a new devil survivors instead.
Just tell us if Akechi is dead or not. I understand it’s up to player interpretation, BUT it’s so annoying seeing this character live in a Schrödinger’s box for 4 years
yeah honestly a game like this kinda needs a good story and character development to be anything more than mid, i personally reckon your worries are quite justified

ATLUS has a DLC problem
And a rerelease problem
Dlc, spinoffs, they milk the series so fans won't forget or get bored of it, yet it postpones the actual good titles that fans want
@@KaDo-j7rdon't diss the spinoffs. Arena and strikers are amazing.
@@KaDo-j7r It's not postponeing p6 lol. It's just like 5-8 more games while working on p6.

Maybe its because its in the ending where the protagonist choses to live in maruki s reality
I’ve basically given up on the spin-offs. They really just don’t hit the same way for me as the main games do. I’m excited for P3 Reload and the eventual P6, but not Tactica.
Maruki has a persona like phantom thieves so why not join to them?❤🤔
I think tactica could be good, we just have to wait.
I agree but also I'll do anything for the best characters to come back in any form
