I've met Tim several times. Back in 2011, then in 2019, and then 2022 on my birthday. I will say, 2011 Tim was not a very nice person at all. He was kind of aggressive, and rude. Skip to 2019 and 2022 Tim, he is in fact a changed man. Now he's a very humble and sweet person. Even took the time to talk to me inside the venue for what felt like forever, and it was on my birthday. Him and all the guys in As I Lay Dying were beautiful people then. I wish him nothing but success
Seems questionable, at least judging by the articles I can find now: "Tim Lambesis continued to see them for about 10 hours a week when he was not on tour, even though the couple was no longer living together, according to court documents", plus he gave the hitman "dates he would be looking after their children".
I f’n love Austrian death machine, but isn’t it just Tim and one other dude or something? Iv been waiting for a new one since his release but idk if there’s gonna be one after 7 years of being released. He must just want to stick with the money maker, AILD, which kicks ass to. Really enjoyed the last record
Because people have free will. If you think a member of the band is more to blame than the fame, stress, & recognition (i.e. lack of personal privacy & having everything you do be scutinized &/or worshipped), you obviously have never had people look up to you. Its never enough to be yourself, youve got to perform on a level that you don't have a break from when you choose, & everyone wants you to live up to their individual standards. You'd think he'd be the only tragic story, but these days it happens all the time, even to the very best & brightest. Howd you like to live under that intense level of scrutiny? The way you pick up your dog's shit would disappoint alot of people.
Can't forget the fact that he also sued the State of California for developing mammaries while in prison because the system wouldn't provide him treatment from his steroid use 💀
Which the system is obligated to do. Idk what world view you have of prison but as a former prison guard who escorted people to doctor visits inside the prison. They are treated for all kinds of things. And some of these people butchered babies. What tim did is nothing compared to other crimes.

Have been a big rock and metal fan and I’ve always really dug as I like dying and Austrian death machine, But when I heard about when this happened, I was shocked, especially him being a Christian and all, but when I heard that he had a steroids too, I was a little shocked because road rage is real, and it makes people act really crazy but he did time he’s got out and for his fans the band fans I should say really shouldn’t still be angry about it or humans we all make mistakes nothing happened. I’m not saying that for people who personally knew him or his family but for the fans, we should be glad that As I lay Dying did come back Even though they seem done again, pretty much but seems he’s a change man and that’s good. I have had to forgive people but none who were trying to murder someone. I think him being so open about it helps. I just like the music, it’s not me who he has to prove it to.
Well, in a way I’m sure he does feel like he has to prove it to the fans. He didn’t just let his loved ones and band down….he let down all the fans. AILD lost a chunk of their fan base over the incident. I was at one of their shows during the comeback tour they did after he got out and at one point he actually talked about his experience and thankful for the opportunity to play for his fans again and was thankful to be welcomed back.
Ah, I wasn’t that let down, shocked? Hell yea I was shocked, especially since he was a Christian, but then learned he was on steroids and then it made sense. It’s actually kinda surprising he didn’t do anything himself, roid rage is real and it’s scary what people will do, but personally, don’t know him, or anyone he knows, but I do love As I Lay Dying, so for my life, to have a great band I enjoyed back into it, I’m all for it. He did time, it’s all good. We all do bad things in life, some worse than others, but it’s mistakes, because we’re human, as long as he didn’t get out and continue that crazy behavior and get in trouble again, idk why the bands fans, not people he personally knows, but his fans, should still be upset about it. It was over a decade ago. Not healthy to hold on to anger
The fact he stated that he knows he would have to prove himself for the next 20 years means a lot. There's a lot of people who expect an apology to fix everything. It's good to hear a different angle of this. I really liked the band and was sad all this shit was going down. Now we just got to deal with Linkin Park's new lead singer being a SA sympathizer. They let snitches continue to live criminally as long as they are feeding info so the case that was made against Tim he plead guilty and took his time. Who knows why the other guys left. Tim writes everything and gets a lion’s share of the revenue of AILD so who knows what’s up behind the scenes on that one. I will say that what he did was awful and I’m not at all defending what he did, I’m simply just commenting on why he was sentenced and served the time he did. I’m not a lawyer or anything, I’ve just seen the system work through friends and my own limited experience in and out of jail and prison.
Fans knew and it split their fanbase. Being that they were considered a Christian band back then this crime was even worse for the fans as well as the band. I believe prison changed Tim in mostly a good way though I doubt his faith survived. But, he served his time and I don't think Tim should feel the need to apologize over and over.
