"Happy Nation", "Wheel of Fortune" and "All that she wants" are, perhaps, one of their best hit songs. They have that interesting mix of reggae and europop. And "Happy nation" also has this haunting vibe.

Literally same. I know a lot of people say that. But I mean it ! Their music practically ( literally) saved my life as a child in the 90s. I can’t explain it either.

Ace of Base and Fun Factory was my childhood jam.
When they were a hit in the 90's, they were always referred as the new ABBA (both Swedish) just like the Oasis as the new Beattles (both British). I listen to both group during my teenage years.

My personal favourite of theirs has to be "Always have, Always will". A very 60's soul retro track. I don't know how it done in North America, but it got a lot of airplay here in the UK.

That was the American version without the bubbles. In the European version the band members are inside bubbles throughout the video. They float in the bubbles, and it separates them from the world they are floating through. It's a very different feeling.

@@Cedsoncole Yes, the American version on RUclips is perplexing. Vimeo has the European version with the bubbles. The band members are floating in bubbles throughout the whole video. Even when Jonas sings, "Staying til the break of dawn," he's in a bubble.
@@Cedsoncole It may be a beautiful life, but they are separated from that beautiful life. Children may be playing, and there may be a barroom brawl, but they can't participate in it. It makes the song kind of sad. There's a sadness that runs through Ace of Base, and this song is no exception. "The Sign" is about a break up. "Happy Nation" is anything but happy. "All that She Wants" has an air of desperation like Abba's "Gimme Gimme Gimme (a Man after Midnight)." The lyrics and images undercut the sometimes happy or exciting music, and that creates a tension that I find fascinating.
I would love to see you react to something you have not heard! May be Evanescence ,My Immortal or some Yebba,my mind. So much music with so much soul. Chris Stapleton .There is so much to offer.
