What I like about this video is how they used metaphors. The bullfight is a metaphor for how he treated her. He plays with the bull knowing from the begining that he's going to kill it. With Madonna he played with her heart pretending he loved her, playing a part in the play, knowing all along he's going to break her heart. It was all a big performance from him. The greatest pretender.
And if you listen to the words, she's talking about someone who acts in the public eye, a liar ("when you get to the part where you're breaking my heart hide behind your smile, all the world loves the clowns") She even quotes Shakespeare in the part when she says "all the world is a stage and everyone has their part", from his play "As you like it".
so, maybe you could react to her song Secret, also from the Bedtime Stories album. It´s such a great great R&B song and the video has a beautiful chill street vibe to it. I also recommend her videos Human Nature (very r&b oriented too) and You'll see (the video is the Take a Bow part 2)

There's so many layers in terms of meaning on this song. Like what @MiguelNunez mentioned about the bull-fighter metaphor. Also, in Spain back in the 30's and 40's a bull-fighter was considered a celebrity; so another layer to that is Madonna's futile relationship with Sean Penn whom she was married to from 1986-1989; it paints a picture of two celebrities, especially Sean Penn who is in the public eye, the persona that he projects in the media may not be the same in private when he's breaking her heart. And Sean Penn had a temper back in the day; and I'm sure there were other reasons why their relationship ended as well. So as she is saying, the show is over, say goodbye, it's more of a closure on her relationship with him. And using those metaphors like "all the world is a play", the bull-fighting metaphor how it's all a show but it's also a dangerous game that she knew from the start but she ends up getting her heart broken; making a video that will depict her relationship with Sean Penn would be TOO OBVIOUS and Madonna isn't about stating the obvious, she likes to leave something for the fans for different interpretations; it's also another way of saying, history repeats itself when it comes to relationship, especially relationship with someone in the public eye (a celebrity); it can be futile and there's always someone in the relationship who's heart will be broken. Now, the whole Sean Penn thing did not come from Madonna herself, but if you dig deeper into her public relationships, it is familiar to what she's singing about lyrically.

@@MissAngie25 yep Pac was on this track with her from her Bedtime Stories album. He was replaced by Me ' Shell Ndegochello cause he was in all kinda of trouble ...right around his All Eyes On Me period.
