Bruh I gotta be honest, if staying away from making videos to improve your game helps then do that. We all want your dope material but never at the cost of your golf career. Maybe let Tom take control for a little while you get 10000% focused! P.S. I’d love to make some background music for your videos for whenever you choose to use music!
Good reminder you are human after all... this style of commentary is still much appreciated. We want to see tournament golf, other RUclipsrs only do it as a one off video but we want constant true competition!
Bro your swing is ELITE. You’ve achieved the RUclips career, go for the card. You’re an outstanding golfer, and I understand it takes money to make money, but Ben you’ve made it. Keep grinding.
This will be a fun series, the fact that you actually have the goods to turn pro makes it interesting and we want to see it. I could watch this swing on repeat all day.
You are very gifted golfer, you work hard and are extremely committed to achieving your goals. So, it is always enjoyable to watch your videos, especially since you have a great personality, are a great communicator and smart You Tube host. I'm sure you have a great future in golf.
I hope this comment finds you well: I’ve been watching RUclips golf for about 2 years now. It started by coming across good good’s “the greatest shot in RUclips golf history” video where Matt Scharff hits that hole in one. I didn’t even golf at the time but it was so cool. I started watching good good when it would pop up and it was entertaining because you could tell these were just some friends who all had gotten pretty dang good at the game while having fun playing together. I didn’t think any of them necessarily had a shot at going pro, but it was still cool nonetheless to see some well above average golf by guys close to my age. And then I saw one of your videos. I told like everybody I knew, “have you seen that Ben Kruper guy on RUclips? He’s going to be on tour before you know it.” I saw the swing and the ball striking and it was just so sick. I knew immediately that you were in a different league than other RUclips golfers, because you were a golfer first, RUclips second. Not to take anything away from other good RUclips golfers, but your skill set directly translates to the PGA. Myself and many others believe you truly have what it takes, and that is why you’re blowing up on the internet because everybody wants to see you go pro. Even Jon Rahm said your swing is money
Ben I think it takes alot to put yourself out there like you do and I commend you for being brutally honest. I am looking forward to watching your journey, and I wish you the very best going forward. Keep at it and you will be great sir.
Great video. I liked the first half with commentary more, but thought the length and pace of the video were both great. Only thing I can say with the commentary is don’t question Thomas’ filming. If he wants to film a club on the green, a bird, a turtle, or your dad leaning against a tree, it’s for good reason!
Love the video Ben! Your match with DOD versus the Bryan Bros was my first ever seeing you play..that was a great match btw..a rematch HAS to happen!! But this series is great in its own way…real golf..serious golf..and you play very well…your lag putting IS great!! Among other parts of your game…as FA as the commentary I love the thoughts on EVERY shot…
This was good. I am 58 years old and am playing in a Senior Am event in September and next year, I plan on playing in more, so I love this type of video. I am like you getting nice birdie looks but am too tentative on them and aren't making enough and when I chip I am leaving myself knee knockers for par. Would love to see how you are practicing your short game. That would be a great video. Just go out and practice and let Thomas film and come back and talk over the video. You practice and help other at the same time. Great video though. You can do it!
Great video man, it's awesome to see a guy take the journey. Since you had some struggles in this tournament, I'm going to give some unsolicited advice that you may or may not see, as a former tennis competitor. One piece of advice I have is to try and keep your body language more neutral when some putts or something aren't going quite your way. Your body language can affect your mental and affect your play. Also, I heard that putting is a mentality, and no two putts go exactly the same way. Maybe if you try and lag it, they might fuckaround and drop. Just some friendly advice from one guy who tried, to another who is trying. Very best of luck, Ben!
Love your videos Ben - and your swing! The ball-strike noise with an iron and the pause is absolutely epic. Rooting for you on your quest, I cant wait to say "I watched that kid 5years ago" as you slip into something green... Anyway would suggest Tom commentating more - has a good eye for things like your dad stretching and the tortoise. Adds colour and humour to the round. We all love golf, but just pure golf content can be boring. I'd love more scene setting aka detail of past winners if anyone famous/on tour, maybe interview with an official if you can get them to agree. As other comments music building the mood of the round would be great but appreciate implications with licencing. Finally missed a massive chance for drama with the shot miss... BUT we're all being super picky. Great golf in tough conditions and a video I thouroughly enjoyed again!
I too struggled with making "must have" birdie putts. I read Bob Rotella's "Golf is not a game of perfect" and what stuck with me is BELIEVING you're going to make it and not thinking "I must make it". That put the pressure off me but still gave me confidence to put a good stroke on it. Maybe that could help you too.
i think itll help when u look at those 10 ft putts like lets get as many 10 ft birdie putts as possible to give myself as many opportunities as possible to birdie, and it should be in the long run, because uve had so many chances at those 10 ft putts, ull eventually knock some down. so its more like put urself in a good position to putt as many times as u can and those putts will come.
I like this format a lot! Have you considered a program like Decade? 8ft putts on the PGA Tour are made about 50% of the time, so don't get discouraged about missing 10-20ft putts. You'll make enough of them. People think these are automatic for tour players because that's what they see on TV, but that is simply not reality. Your goal needs to start with bogey avoidance and three putt avoidance.
Great video, I love the doc of the tournament. You hit the ball great you just need to tighten up the wedges a little and make a few more and you’ll break through. Good stuff
Great effort. Great job of putting yourself out there. Biggest issue I see for you is missing left with your irons. That's common for high level amateurs and mini-tour pros. In order to get to that PGA Tour level with the irons, you have to greatly reduce the amount of pull side misses with your irons. Then when you get to the PGA Tour and try to be an elite level iron player, you work on the short push side miss. Putting woes from inside 10-feet....usually either not playing enough break or playing too much break. Throws your speed control off. Hard to tell from the camera views given, but you didn't miss many low on your lag putts and that's why you're a good lag putter. You were very good off the tee, particularly in such windy conditions. Short game around the green was superb. And you've got the speed. Just clean up the left misses and I would try to figure out what type of breaking putt from 5-12 feet gives you the most trouble (i.e. left-to-right or right-to-left). Take note of where those putts are missing and then you can formulate a plan as to how to get better on putts from inside 10-feet.
I agree wind audio is not ideal but better than the voice over. Not sure how to incorporate the content during the round is what I prefer to watch. I like to hear the golfer in real time talk about the hole, the lies, challenges and finally the decisions as that is what makes us want to see the shots in my opinion. - keep grinding as you have a great vibe
Cam Young like Hideki isn't going to win until he gets rid of the pause. Hideki got rid of it and won the Masters. There's just way too much time for something to go wrong when the pressure is really on. Hideki finally listened to whoever told him to speed up that transition and it paid off.
Keep grinding and stay humble. Those are keys to success. You played well. There's a few little mistakes, but you can clean those up easy. With a few tweeks, you'd have shot even and a couple under.
Great frickin video dawg!! You mentioned pace recommendations, in between holes if you still got a bit more to say, you could switch the cam over to you just for a quick 7-15 secs or whatever lol. Just a thought... Keep ballin Ben
Hey Ben for your putts I’m not sure what your thought process is. But if you’re really focused on trying to make the putt on the “Make-able” ones that might be your issue. Maybe just focus on a spot or the line more and try and hit a good putt instead of trying to make it if that makes sense. And be ok with outcome before you hit the putt. Golf’s all mental as you know😉
Great video! Personally, I liked the first round better with additional commentary as it lets me know how you approached each shot. Either way, tough break on the scoreboard, but looking forward to more rounds!
I think for this series you can have every episode be a match but maybe have like an episode 2.5 where you do training, would be cool to see that too and what you are trying to work out with your swing
Have you ever thought about practicing with a mallet putter (like a Spider X) for putts within 15ft? While keeping your current putter for lag putts because you obviously have great control with that putter already. Just practice with two putters in the bag and see what happens. I did this and it helped a lot. Eventually gained good enough control with the mallet to only need that in the bag. The mallet helped me stay more true to a line within 15ft
I’m from Virginia and I play in junior tournaments two of the kids one below you and one above you are playing high level division 1 golfyou got a shot bro
Feel the frustration. State Am in Wisconsin 2022, finished 2nd round, event staff said I would make the cut most likely. 8 hours later, someone made a 45 foot putt in almost complete darkness and knocked me 1 stroke outside the cut line. Didn't deserve to make it but the back and forth was rough way to miss out. Good luck at state open, I'm trying similar things up in WI.
Love the pacing, love the video series idea too. Honestly looking for this content in the golf youtube space. Fast pacing is nice we can observe your course management at the highest level with pressure. Also - driving through virginia, whats a course you recommend or your home course? New to the game
Rooting for you man, and hoping you can make it. Honestly i would think playing as many tournaments as possible would be solid so youre seeing all sorts of conditions just like this windy day and just like the pros have to put up with day in and day out. Lastly, i think it would help your pacing if you only commentate 1-2 of your shots per hole, either a really good one or really bad one that screwed up the hole. You ended up having to sort of just rap your way thru the video haha. Best of luck dude.
This was good to watch, I really liked the commentary, bit quick in some points for me but still good. Also I know a lot of people do it but maybe try removing the late wrist set on your putts, I did it and have found a big difference. Counting 3 putts per month rather than per round now.. 🤙🏼
would love some training videos as part of this series. Range sessions with drills, swing thoughts, insight on what kind of margin of error you accept during it, etc.
Hey Ben! I used to edit videos a lot for youtubers and I wanted to give a little advice. I definetely prefer the video where you talked every couple holes, it really let me digest what I was looking at myself. Then when your commentary came in it was really nice. Yea maybe it’s time to hand over the crown while ben goes pro. Thomas aka the pause prince, is ready for the big stage
gotta remember golf is expensive, the channel is a great income source to pay for all the trips etc
@@Sallysite105 yeah but the good thing is ad revenue will continue and I’m sure he could get Wilson to help out a little extra
@@Sallysite105can golf even be expensive with sponsors lmfaooooo???
You think this content is dope? lol
Good reminder you are human after all... this style of commentary is still much appreciated. We want to see tournament golf, other RUclipsrs only do it as a one off video but we want constant true competition!
This is exactly the content we want
We like watching you brother! Do what you want with your golf career, we'll be here!
I love the random shots from Thomas there so funny he’s actually the greatest camera man
yes yes yes. This is the series! This will bloom the channel
I think this demonstrates how challenging golf is at the highest level. Ben, you’re the man. Keep grinding, play with no reservations, and go get em.
Bro your swing is ELITE. You’ve achieved the RUclips career, go for the card. You’re an outstanding golfer, and I understand it takes money to make money, but Ben you’ve made it. Keep grinding.
The comps is what I want to see in the series. That way we get to see the progression. The climb up the ladder is what's fun to see 👍
This will be a fun series, the fact that you actually have the goods to turn pro makes it interesting and we want to see it. I could watch this swing on repeat all day.
Gotta love this guy and the hard work he puts in
Good job man
Great vid! Definitely like the first half better with commentary than 2nd half with no commentary
Fr I enjoyed it more when he was commentating
Nah no commentary
100%
Commentary was nice to have. It’s cool to hear what you were thinking on those shots
This is definitely the content we want

Really looking forward to this series!
I hate hate HATE playing in strong winds 😂
This is great content. I'll definitely be checking for more of this series!
As a guy who loves this stuff, record everything you can! We would all love to see your process for improvement and everything of the sort

It’s been fun following along your journey as a content creator. Good luck the rest of the year!
I like the pace of this video: good content
Congrats. Great score. Keep working at it. Love your videos
pacing is good imo. we're impatient in 2024
You cool! Just get that putter dialed in. You would smoke me and I'm an above average golfer. Best of luck, love you golf vids! Respect👊🏻
If you ever doubt your pause at all, just remember that a lot of players on these high level tours pause! cam young is a great example
Facts
Cam Young like Hideki isn't going to win until he gets rid of the pause. Hideki got rid of it and won the Masters. There's just way too much time for something to go wrong when the pressure is really on. Hideki finally listened to whoever told him to speed up that transition and it paid off.

go get it! love the channel and your game.
Amazing stuff Ben. Keep it up!
Great video! Personally, I liked the first round better with additional commentary as it lets me know how you approached each shot.
Either way, tough break on the scoreboard, but looking forward to more rounds!
Good work Ben
Great video
You got this super Kruper, would love to see you on any pro tour!
I think for this series you can have every episode be a match but maybe have like an episode 2.5 where you do training, would be cool to see that too and what you are trying to work out with your swing
8 and 9 so tough back to back, and I can back you up, 8 is never downwind. Plays so long.
8-11 is the gauntlet and doesn’t get a whole lot easier coming in
Have you ever thought about practicing with a mallet putter (like a Spider X) for putts within 15ft? Yesssssir was waiting for a golf series
Looked like a pretty hard course, with some sketchy greens combined with the wind. Solid rounds.
I’m from Virginia and I play in junior tournaments two of the kids one below you and one above you are playing high level division 1 golfyou got a shot bro
Man nice video I think I like it better if you were micd up instead of VO I think the camera is fine if you were also micd up ✊🏾
Good luck man

This was good to watch, I really liked the commentary, bit quick in some points for me but still good.
Also I know a lot of people do it but maybe try removing the late wrist set on your putts, I did it and have found a big difference. Counting 3 putts per month rather than per round now.. 🤙🏼
Love the new series keep it up
would love some training videos as part of this series. Range sessions with drills, swing thoughts, insight on what kind of margin of error you accept during it, etc.
Leggo Ben!
I believe in you Super Kruper 😀
New sub here once I saw you doing this type of content 🤝

epic
Better Luck at the VA Open!
chase your dreams ben!
I think this video is perfect, nice pace, good commentary. Just some very soft background music would be nice🔥
I think the putting is definitely a confidence thing. Just go make the same 10 footer over and over and over again and get used to the ball going in the hole
