The ball will always spin if you hit down wrong on the ball,if you hit left or right on it,or even sting the ball without steady square club face,it will always spin out of control,my advice is slow controlled swings, concentrating on all technique not power, and try just get a sweet connection with the ball, taking away the sting wich power sometimes creates that spin on the ball, just look for technique, arm lock, core position, remember the backswing path and downswing path, nice slow controlled shots like chipping around the green, also get your muscle alignment perfect before every shot,do feather swings like snooker to feel your muscle alignment being correct, like core, feet, shoulders, arms etc, because your muscles is the control of every shot, anyway always technique and not power,as power can create spin on the ball.
