My Stihl 090 just won't go. First I dropped it off at the local Stihl Shop, they stripped it and put it back together for $102 and said they don't know what's wrong with it. So I've taken the Carby apart, can't see anything wrong with it. (It's a reproduction carby). The butterfluy valve wasn't closing completely as the screw had the wrong adjustment, so I adjusted that, so butterfly valve closes completely. The inlet and outlet holes on cylinder look fine. There is plenty of compression. I drained a bit of petrol 31:1 mix out of the bottom aluminium stopper Nut and replaced the orange/red Fiber washer. The rubber fuel line hose was perrished, so I replaced it with a clear plastic hose that I can see through, and it seems to me that the carby may not be producing enough suction to get fuel into carby. So I took the stopper off the air breather into the tank. Later I took petrol tank lid right off, and it still wouldn't suck. Hoses and pick-up tube is not blocked. But for some reason, there's a crimp on the end of the pickup hose in the tank, which seems to make the tube more of an oval hole? Narrowed it. Maybe I should cut that crimp off the end of the rubber pick-up tube? Also, I'm not sure what the High / Low carby adjustment screws should be at. I have not touched them since I got the saw. Plus the brass joiner to underneath the On/Off switch has become un-soldered, so it is basically not making an electrical connnection to the switch, but I checked the spark plug and the plus is still sparking. It is a brand new spark plug. Do you know waht could be wrong? Maybe it has got reeds inside the cylinder to block off and open up ports? But to me it seems to be not sucking up the fuel, and i've stripped carby, nothing blocking it.
