To this day i have never preordered other than his of war ragnarok. This game really taught me a lot about the person I want to be, and not to let past mistakes dictate who I am and what I do. We can always choose to make different decisions.
Absolutely! There are very many points in this game for self reflection. It's kind of surreal to feel lectured by a video game, but damn if they weren't spittin'
I quit gaming when the second gen of pkmn was released. Came back for ToTk. Most games suck but the 2018 and Ragnorak GoW games are phenomenal. Absolutely amazing games. Mimir was 10/10.
@@KyotoCrankit wasn’t by choice. Just circumstances. I was like 11. 20 years later BotW came out and I caught wind of it and Witcher 3. Played those then quit again, then Total lead me to Dark Souls1. Tried that and loved it. So I beat the whole souls like genre. Then my lil brother recommended GoW. 10/10. Loved it. Great video btw. Really covered how great of a game it is. I got the 100% the first play thru. Top 3 games of all time
Game's great, people are stuck in the past thinking the game isn't as good or just straight up bad because Kratos talks now instead of killing needlessly. I don't get it, man, genuinely, I have played every GOW when I was a kid AND recently except Ascension, and still GOW 2018 and Ragnarok are by far my favorites.
Admittedly, I have not YET played the original GOWs, so I lack that kind of bias. This game and it's story is so good, how can the veil of nostalgia mess with that? Glad to hear you enjoy it as much as I do!
I think some GoW fans that played the Greek games don’t like when people say the Norse game has added so much depth to Kratos and made him so mature. When in reality the depth was always in the story, it’s just that over the course of these games character depth and themes have come to the forefront with the more narrative driven game design.
Please let me know how the audio is! In my video editor I thought I had it mixed well to balance voice and bg music. I recently learned YT auto mixes videos, so of course it prioritizes voice I just want to make sure it doesn't sound insufferable to me because it my own voice
