Had two of them, loooong story. Didn’t work for my city riding, but it’s a very cool bike. One of the best I’ve ever owned, and I had both gens. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
I have 5k miles (ALL twisties not commuting) on my 23 MT-10 love it love it love it! I also just aquired a '24 R1 which DAMN I love it! But the 10 is honestly way more comfortable...the only real issue for me with the R1 is my neck! Hopefully I will get used to it and get over the pain. The R1 feels like a rocket on rails! SOOOO smooth so dang fast! But when I hop back on the 10 it is wonderful. BTW screw economy. Worse than the mpg I think is the MPT (miles per TIRE!) lol I get 1000 miles on a rear tire but by that time its lost quite a bit of its fun factor....and no I do NOT do burn outs or even intentional wheelies
Agreed! I wish Yamaha would release a new generation already, and the current gen has only been around for 2 years lol. Thanks for watching! Ride safe.
Another user already mentioned it, but here's my video on the process of installing. It's not my best video ever, but it's a brief overview. ruclips.net/video/ZzNDb7tTdR0/видео.htmlsi=97Qgn_9C3PX65t6x Thanks for watching! Ride safe.
zh2 was on my look out but to be honest 200hp is way too much... I will have to defintely write my will up and kiss my loved ones good by every time with passion.... I will be happy with a mt-10 I love the naked look.... it was either this or a 05-07 YZF-R1 but those are way too sporty for me to want to hunch down like that. Subbed mate. Cheers from an Aussie Mechanic turned Truck/Trailer (cdl) driver.
Look into the Yamaha FZ1! I just picked up an 07. Its got the R1 engine configured differently for less HP (they dropped the compression ratio, making it insanely reliable and long lasting) and the rider triangle is more relaxed. It's a great option. About 145 HP, 76 ft-lb torque. You can pick a good one up for less than $5k
@@Sam-xt5gb Funny you mention that model, Found that to be very palatable too in my bike hunting. It looks like I have actually settled my focus on a 2023 MT-09 now. 3 cyl screamer :P Safe riding brother and thanks for the thoughts.
@brianmaclennan561 Wanna know what's 🤣? I ended up buying a 2023 Mt09 SP brand new with a Yoshi pipe and tail tidy and radiator guard. Going to run her in then change the oil and get her dyno tuned.
I mean, you've answered your question after asking it haha. If you (or anyone) cares about a bike being revved, then buy a new one. If you don't buy used, then what does it matter what someone else does with their possessions? Rev limiters are in place to prevent the engine from beyond what it's capable of. If Yamaha has the rev limiter set their, they must deem is being safe to rev it to that point. Obviously you don't want to sit on the limiter and hold for too long, but every now and again I think is just fine. I own my bike. I paid for the bike. I will rev my bike. I'll wheelie the bike. I'll use the whole bike. I'll push it out of an airplane if I so please lol. If something goes wrong, then I paid for it. That's why I will bang my rev limiter (and your mom) Not a bad question to ask. That's my take on it. Thank you for watching! Ride safe. 😎
BTW pretty much all of Yamahas "wooden" brake feel is down to the ABS....pretty sure if you wanted to give that up you would have your desired brake feel. at the lever....the mystery is more how certain other euro (REALLY EXPENSIVE) models manage to have both ABS AND good brake feel?? Maybe it is in certain patents? or ? IDK lol....I have read that even switching yamahas over to Brembo Stylema calipers wont cure the issue....certainly the Brembo Master my 2023 MT-10 came with was NOT any miracle cure (more a marketing bandaid I am afraid) ....I am NOT ready to give up ABS either! In fact while shopping for my used R1 I did a hard pass on a really nice example mainly BECAUSE that seller had done an ABS delete.....I keep thinking of things like i dont know....say a DEER jumping out in front of me? Or a dog? Or just any idiot pulliing out in front of me? Is it REALLY worth stellar brake lever "feel " to lose your damn ABS? No I dont think so either....
Love your content man, keep up the great work

Do you by any chance have a link to the company that sells those extenders for the passenger pegs?
If I may ask how much does the bike cost approximately for the mt 10 or the mt 07 or something similar to the yamahas great video and thanks
The MT10 is $14,799 MSRP for the 2025 model in USA. The 2025 MT-07 is $8,599.

Why bang the Rev limiter? That's why I don't buy used.

So, how tall are you? Had a Kawasaki Z900 and the large Puig windscreen still allowed wind mid-helmet (I’m 6’2”).
6'1 is my height. The wind still hits the top of my helmet, but it's greatly reduced buffeting overall.
