  • Another Robert Altman film review the classic masterpiece Short Cuts the stunning 1993 ensemble piece based on the short stories of Raymond Carver. Sad, funny, a brilliant portait of Los Angelos and full of amazing characters.

I saw it back in 1993 when it
first came out. Was literally dizzy
when I came out of the auditorium.
      Absolutely spellbinding.
Went back to theaters to see it
twice more & have the Collector's
DVD set. One of the best ever!!

This is a great film, it's tied with McCabe and Mrs Miller as my favorite Altman (but I haven't seen all of them).

      "Short Cuts" is his masterpiece,
but yeah, "McCabe & Mrs. Miller"
is a great film-- very underrated.

I've started to watch it because of that amazing bush of fire and ended with mess of thoughts and feelings.
