  • So sad to be leaving this space where I became a full time printmaker. I hope you’ll join me in my new studio space 🙂

Instead of lead dress weights, you might consider metal chain. The hardware store will cut it to length for you.

or even low monetary value coins such as 1pence sewn in intervals does the trick too :)

I’m looking forward to seeing the new studio. I agree that industrial is the way to go. My current studio in my home is full of industrial shelving. My future studio will be only industrial lighting and shelving. It holds up to the wear and tear of a working space and my 5 dogs.

Curtain weights, I think are the string of weights you are referring to.
Such a helpful video. Sadly my space is a small back bedroom, so I’m scaling down some of you ideas.

What an informative video. Thanks so much for sharing the "goods" and "bads". Look forward to seeing the new studio online and hopefully in the flesh next year if the trip to the UK happens. I have already incorporated your clever ink storage into my workspace (although slightly differently but inspired by yours). Also, I have a beautiful tempered glass outdoor table top for my inking surface. A friend who understands printmaking asked if I wanted it when the paint started peeling away underneath and they decided to get a replacement. Bonus for me after a bit of scraping! Safe travelling and enjoy setting up in your new place.

Brilliant, thx for the tour (I asked for something like this some time ago)! Looking forward to seeing the new studio space and all the really clever storage ideas you and Mr. B will come up with that will inspire me how to better organise all of my stuff.

Thanks for sharing these pearls of wisdom. Loved the tip about the floor varnish to protect the surface of your desk! Here is a question ❓ you have a small wooden lamp with a diffuser on the desk (at least I think that is what it is) Can you say something about that. It intrigued me...as I am always trying to figure out how to best light my desk to take photos or make small videos. Thanks in advance...and best of 🤞 luck with the move to the new 🏠 and teaching space is

Thank you for this helpful video! I have searched high and low for good advice on such subjects as organizing a printmaking studio, choosing and storing brayers, etc. As to drying damp prints, I wonder, do the bulldog clips mar the paper?
