The studio has always been a bit of a disaster. A catchall for anything art related in our business and in our personal practices. The nooks and crannies were filling up with rocks, printing stuff, garbage and past installation projects.
Perhaps many of you might feel the same way about your own studio spaces.
This year Kyle took on the challenge of clearing out the clutter and making the print studio of his dreams!
We’re excited to share with you all the awesome presses in our studio, plus the DIY improvements we made to make the studio better… which were accomplished on$0! Kyle repurposed, reused and recycled things we had around the property to create new furniture and storage.

That's so awesome! We're so happy to be of any help. Congrats on setting up your own shop. What types of presses are you putting into your shop?
A present time I’m doing screen printing and relief. I also have a small table top etching press.
Nice. Are you just printing your relief prints on the etching press?

❤️ Thanks so much. It feels good to get the studio organized. It will also hopefully save time when making videos (not having to move piles of things from one side of the room to the other so they aren't in the shot 😂).
Looks amazing! I often feel the same way about my studio space. It looks like it has great flow and is so very functional.
Thanks 😀 The flow is so much better. It means a lot to have each press have it's own "station". You have an etching press in your shop right?
@@sparkboxstudio I do! It is tucked away in a corner of my studio. I have recently tried to strip things down to the bare necessities. It is hard to find room for it all and I agree with the need for a designated station for each task. I can't wait to see the work that comes out of your space.!
I mean we haven't done the best job getting rid of all the non-essentials (hence the mountain of items hidden above our darkroom 🤦🏻♀️ lol). We just finished a screen print project and the glass table with adjustable feet that Kyle made was perfect for mixing inks on!

Thanks so much! It felt great to give the shop some love this year. I think my fav organization element is the cardboard drawer organizers 😂 cheap and super useful.
