got it even before the release date and love it, the airflow is amazing 420 intake (FX) and just throw a 360 AIO exhaust on top.. or even 420 if you like. Maybe when i have time i might throw a costume cooling in it but I dont see the benefits because I didnt come even close to throttling with a 5900x and a 7900xtx, no matter what I tried ... and the system is OC. May a bit expensive but this tower will serve you a long time and you can just throw anything in it.

This 800 fx is better if you don't need a cd drive bay.

Thank You! Been needing to see what this case looks like with a LC radiator at the top. Wanted to see if there was ample space for high profile ram modules. Just brought the be Quiet Pure Base 500 FX, with the Pure Loop 2 FX 240mm. Unfortunately one cannot have high profile ram modules, only low profiles, because otherwise they don't fit with any LC radiator atop of the case. Plus cable management is awful with the 500 FX.
Looks like I may be getting this Shadow Base 800 DX instead. 😁
Love the stealthy look of the BeQuiet cases. This case and the Dark Base 901 would look great with either the TUF Gaming or Gigabyte Gaming gpus. I might get both lol.
Yeah, they do looko amazing. As for the parts, I would go either with MSI or ASRock. :P But that is just me. :D
Hi. I bought this case and I am very happy with it. I ve built all the components and everything works fine except of the front lights (stripes). Could someone please help. Anyone know what cable is responsible for it and where its supposed to go?

@@Irbis432 Same question, got a FX white too for my next build, and i don't know if i go with the 420mm or 360mm, the 420 is cheaper but no idea if the clearance is ok

@@knivesx8891 There shouldn't be a problem since they state it can accomodate 420 on top or on the front. But let's see what Vincent says.
@@Irbis432 Update : it's ok for a top mounting but be carefull with some motherboard, my MSI b650 carbon have a big heatsink it's a bit tricky at the top-left corner of the motherboard but its ok.

I have an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 A-RGB and a Fractal Design Torrent case that showed 420mm AIO will fit after I bought the Torrent I later found it doesn't fit. Even after talking with Fractal Design they admitted it only works with a Corsair 420mm AIO. If you do know anyone at Be Quiet that has more information on installing a Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420 A-RGB into Shadow Base 800 DX please help me contact them before I order this case . Does this version of the case comes with a ARGB Fan Controller or is that only for the FX version?
No fan controller of any sorts on this model.
Unfortunately, it does not fit the Arctic Freezer II 420.
Others says it does. Why do you think it doesn't?
