I recently visited both Phantasialand and Europa Park on separate occasions via train/shuttle bus and I found the travel guides you made during lockdown incredibly useful especially with planning the trips 😊
This is the first park I'm going to once we are back to some sort of normality. We're gonna stay in Bell Rock after watching your travel vlog from the other year... This is a great series 👍
Sean, would you ever consider hosting a trip to one or more of these parks? You've got so much knowledge on these parks and their coasters and with such a friendly personality, you'd make sure everyone would have such a good time!
This park is right up there on my must do list. Great tips. Good to know there’s plenty of other things to do in the area too. Love this series Shawn. Another great idea.
Thank you Shawn :) Great Video! I've been there 120+ days and still enjoy it every second . I'm happy that With this guide more first time visitors can experience Europaparks Magic :)
I’m an American that would like to retire to somewhere in Europe, my brother lives in Belgium. Was looking at theme parks in Europe as a big Disney World fan when I found Europa Park. It seems to be everything Disney used to be ( as of late the magic is gone)and then some. You have the most informative videos I’ve been able to find. I’m trying to figure out how to plan a trip from the USA that would be easy. If you have any advice for Americans please post. Thank you so much for the information you’ve already provided!
I would love to visit Europa Park. It is at the top of my bucket list. I really want to try Woden and Blue Fire and Silver Star. Silver Star Looks Amazing! When restrictions are lifted I will most likely visit. Amazing Video 👍👍👍👍👍🎢🎢🎢
The funny thing is we were gonna go there in 2020. We were on the verge of booking the whole trip when COVID happened :(. Was so annoyed because we've never been and was looking forward to it so much. So this is a massive help for when we are allowed to finally go there. Europa Park is the Cedar Point of Europa in my opinion.
I'd definitely advise either hiring a car or driving over to Germany. Europapark is located in such a gorgeous area, and there's so many things to see and do within a reasonably short drive. It's the biggest park, and way better than Disneyland Paris imho! (And way better value for money!!)
These videos are so good honestly! I one day would love to travel, quit my job in construction and travel not just to amazing countries but to theme parks too and I wish to vlog it all! You really do inspire me so much I just wanna say thankyou soo much I’ve watched your videos for so long now, Drayton manor and Alton towers are my home parks just like yours, I can’t wait in a few years to build a following up of my own and you will be the first person I will be thanking and telling my fans to check you out. You really are amazing thankyou so much
I was looking at the airports and stuff as I always put Europa Park as a terminus of my spring break plans for when I plan to study abroad in Madrid next year. I found Stausburg in France to be the closest airport at 40mins. In this case, I have decided to end a trip starting at Movie Park Germany, 2 days at Phantasialand, Heidelberg Castle/Holiday Park, Tripsdril, Schwaben Park, an evening in Rulantica, 2 days at Europa and this would be meeting up with Marina of Thrills United
Man, that park looks beautiful!!! I also have heard the Black Forest is a gorgeous area. I read about it after being at Busch Gardens last year. The story line for Verbolten is so good that it seems real that there's an evil spirit in the forest...idk if there really is a legend about the Black Forest or not, but seeing pictures on the sight I was reading about it, looks so beautiful.
Definitely want A Travel video to Cedar Point! Thanks to your Phantasialand video I'm hopefully going this summer fingers crossed! However Cedar Point would be A great travel tip video as it's further from the UK. Great video as always!
Best park in Europe and UK. Huge, quirky park. Terrific variety of rides from hyper coast, huge wooden coaster, bonkers euro-mir, wild mouse, water rides, dark rides, the lot. Loads of fantastic shows. Best theme park food in the world. Best resort in Europe - every hotel is top tier and their restaurants and buffets beat Disney’s best restaurants. Terrific service and atmosphere. Can’t praise this theme park and resort enough.
I love Europa-Park and the Europa-Park-Hotels. I'm from Bavaria, so I always drive by car (around 500 kilometers). And I'ts always such a fantastic feeling, when you see the lifthill of Silver Star or the lighthouse tower from Bell Rock after a six hours car ride, or when you see (and hear) the E.P. Express driving around the hotels - love it! I think a travel guide to Disneyland Anaheim or Walt Disney World Resort would be very nice, too. :) Thank you for your great videos! Christoph
We always fly into Basel and get a hire car to the hotels onsite. Hiring cars from the French exit of Basel is cheaper than Switzerland. There are normally 4 or 5 in our party and works out best. There is free parking onsite at the hotels too.
Sean, at some point, could you please make a travel guide for visiting the theme parks in Australias Gold Coast? These videos are really helpful for planning far trips!
With a family i recommend flight to basel and hire car to europa. Took bout an hour ten. Our flight times were awkward from manchester meaning we couldnt check in till late and hotel in Rust wouldnt let a late check in. So worth checking check in times against flight times
Probably as an update to the Transporation segment: DB now also offers direct EuroCityExpress (ECE) train connections from Frankfurt, Basel and Karlsruhe. From Basel it's about 1 hour, from Frankfurt about 2 hours. These fast trains now stop at Ringsheim station with no need to change. However, reaching the Frankfurt connection will be too early for most people arriving with the airplane. You would need to catch a train 8am at the airport's train station and switch at Mannheim (not Frankfurt) into the ECE. You would be there close to park opening, though and could enjoy a full day. Basel actually is a good option: The train leaves Basel SBB at 15:38, which should be good for most arrivals. You would still need to take the bus to Basel SBB, but from there on, it's just a relaxed trip directly to Ringsheim and you would be there for the free "last resort hour" ticket. Here is the timetable: www.freizeitparkinfos.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/Bahnhalt.jpg

I mean, they do have silverstar which was europes first hyper. It also has wodan and blue fire which are some really good coasters and underrated in my opinnion.
Brilliant video, so much useful information. I'm so glad that I found it! My husband and I will be visiting in June, coming by train from Cologne after a couple of days at Phantasialand. We'll be getting the local bus from the railway station to our accommodation across from the park and I am wondering how one pays for a bus journey in Germany. Can we tap on, like here in the UK or do we need cash or to buy a ticket from a kiosk? I'm off to see if you've done a Phantasialand video now!
You can actually reach Europapark using a Flixbus from Stuttgart airport: If you book early prices are around 7€ per person one way which is much cheaper than some of the other options you‘ve talked about. The trip takes approximatly 3.5 hours and transports you directly to the frontgate.
Great video defo got some good tips for a future trip! Question ... where would you find the alpine coasters in the local area you mentioned at the end of the video
When you stay at the Resort you can visit the park the Last hour of the day for Free!! And I think the last two hours for around 12€. You just have to ask at the check in. Very helpful if you arrive late.
What a great guide, we've just booke the Kronasar hotel for 2 nights in April, do you have any tips on which is the best pool and sauna to visit and where is nice to eat?
I'm planning a trip to Europa Park for my sisters 30th bday. What are your other Themepark recommendations for Germany? She wants to do Movie Park as they have a ride there called Area 51 that used to be the Bermuda Triangle at SeaWorld on the Goldcoast in Australia. But what other themeparks or thrill rides would you suggest? Thank you!
Hi, does anyone know if Europa-Park is crowded during the Euro-Musique Festival? I was planning on going on the 17th and 18th of June since they are weekdays outside of school holidays but it would suck if it were still crowded because of this event.
I’m trying to go to europa park for the festive holidays. I saw your Christmas vlogs and due to the walk on rides. Would you recommend doing two days in the park then one day in rulantica or is there any amendments to the tips about how many days? Just as there isn’t many queues during the festive period
here in Luxembourg there are some travel agencies that offer bus rides to EP including admission ticket, usually Rulantica is an add-on (in september, in Halloween season and in Christmas season) Haven't been there for few years, I wanna wait for the Rulantica exansion, wait for a new thrill coaster might be a bit long
You have probable had this idea but as it appears you are focusing on Europe Parks at the end of the series it could be worth doing how to organise a road trip to multiple parks. Which park best to start at which parks to go to. travel between parks etc....
Wonderful video! So helpful! Listening to this, it sounds like flying into Basel from Dallas would be best and then using the train/shuttle to arrive. I was hoping to also visit the Alsace region of France on the same trip. Do you know if there is a car rental place near Europa Park by chance?
Just a quick question for anyone who has done the Basel SBB route. How much time would you recommend to leave the airport and get to Basel SBB station? I was thinking at least 2 hours but I'm unsure
Really enjoying this series. Could you possibly add info on queue times (even just rough maximum times for parks biggest rides at peak times.) Eg. On a busy day is Taron queue going to be 1h, 2h, 4h? And if the park has any fastpass options (I know fp is a sin 😂) Looking forward to Efteling and Energylandia travel guides if you're planning them.
i’ve recently seen an advert for the company Coaster Breaks, curious to hear your thoughts and to see if this is something to consider in the future. This company organises trips across europe for you and a group of people to go to theme parks as a collective. There is a set price which covers travel and accommodation, the tickets to the parks, and a 24/7 travel guide.
Hi Shaun! I’m arriving in Baden Baden airport soon and I’m feeling very overwhelmed on how I get to Rust. Can you advise on any apps or site which may help with figuring out which buses to get? Also are there any direct shuttle bus options? Thanks!
I'd love to see one for alton towers as its harder to get there than the European parks on public transport. We had to cycle from the uttoxeter station going then cycle all the way to stoke going home
I’m guessing you’re doing European parks to begin with but at some point will there be others, I’d love to see something for Tokyo Disney as those parks look amazing
Another brilliant vlog and now I can see it makes more sense to do Europa Park and include Tripsdrill and Holiday Park rather than Europa Park and Phantasialand! Very useful! Didn’t realise that there is only one ride with inversions though!
Going to Europa Park a week Monday - cannot wait!!! Do you have any tips on ride order to make the most of our time? Any certain ones to hit early? We have two days there - Looks like the Monday will be busy but we will also have Tuesday where it looks to be quieter on Queue Times website. Thanks!!

This company organises trips across europe for you and a group of people to go to theme parks as a collective. There is a set price which covers travel and accommodation, the tickets to the parks, and a 24/7 travel guide.
Thanks for your suggestion. I’d always recommend booking trips yourself however if this does prove to be successful then maybe!
Hi Shaun! I’m arriving in Baden Baden airport soon and I’m feeling very overwhelmed on how I get to Rust. Can you advise on any apps or site which may help with figuring out which buses to get? Also are there any direct shuttle bus options? Thanks!
I’d recommend checking out rome2rio for trip planning!
I'd love to see one for alton towers as its harder to get there than the European parks on public transport. We had to cycle from the uttoxeter station going then cycle all the way to stoke going home
I’ll be sharing a travel guide for various UK theme parks as part of this series. That’s certainly a long bike ride!
I’m guessing you’re doing European parks to begin with but at some point will there be others, I’d love to see something for Tokyo Disney as those parks look amazing
Thanks for your suggestion!
Another brilliant vlog and now I can see it makes more sense to do Europa Park and include Tripsdrill and Holiday Park rather than Europa Park and Phantasialand! Very useful! Didn’t realise that there is only one ride with inversions though!
Thanks for watching!
Is it easy getting to Holiday Park from Europa by public transport?
I’ve never done it via public transport unfortunately
Going to Europa Park a week Monday - cannot wait!!! Do you have any tips on ride order to make the most of our time? Any certain ones to hit early? We have two days there - Looks like the Monday will be busy but we will also have Tuesday where it looks to be quieter on Queue Times website. Thanks!!
We would recommend starting in the Iceland area!
@@ThemeParkWorldwide thanks!
