I don’t think I’ve ever seen that truly genuine/vulnerable side of him as in his ‘thank you’ message to Lorne at the end. I felt the emotions he was trying to hold back. Be well, Pete.

I was rooting for the guy when he first started and still am. The guy has had vulnerability during his career but puts himself out there no matter what. He's funny and genuine. Go Pete!

Pete has really grown as a comedian. It's been great to watch.

Pete Davidson is the example of why you should never judge someone by their looks, because he truly is the funniest member of the cast. That night he showed us another side of himself, the vulnerable one, and it was so precious ❤️❤️❤️
If he is the funniest, the other ones cannot be very good.
Lorne learned from his mistakes. He let Adam Sandler go too early, Chris Farley go too early, Norm too early. and the show hurt because of it. He has become more patient with the cast of wild comedians. He gave Pete time to grow. Love him or hate him Pete has a gift and something special about him comedically. Excited to see if he uses it to create funny stuff not under the shadow of SNL and NBC
Probably a lifelong trait of Lorne's - i.e. not repeating mistakes. Had
to be pretty close to perfect. Coming out of the box. Despite all of
Lorne's success in Canada.
In regards to Farley Lorne never wanted to let him go he wanted him to get clean and not go the way of Belushi 😢. Even tried to bring him back during a special and during an after show like panel with all of the old cast he was out of his mind high. Like less haha and more ok this guy is scaring me with his antics. No one loved him more than Lorne but you gotta remember what it was like during the time when Belushi died and now having basically the second coming of Bulushi going down the same road you can only do so much for someone who wasn’t ready to get clean.

Chris Farley died while on SNL, right? He left too early.
I'm gonna miss him breaking character. He had a laugh that was unique. During this speech he wanted to cry but he kept it together

Imagine going from being treated like he'll never have a chance to dressing like Count Chocula and having Dave Chappelle messing with him to having Adam Driver dressed as an elderly man screaming in his face in one of THE greatest SNL skits ever. So many great moments he was a part of. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.

That quote from Lorne was genuinely sweet. Sometimes I felt that SNL was the only thing giving Pete Davidson structure in his life. It honestly might have helped save his life. I hope he is making the right decision for himself by leaving at this time, but I know everyone in the show will always have his back.

It's a shame that Pete might feel like he didn't deserve it. He made an impact, and I appreciate him a great deal. We have seen so much of his process and his challenges and his resilience, and it is something that is extremely valuable. Keep up the good work, and keep making movies. King of Staten Island was very touching.

I never found him funny except the Chad routine. But that was his only character. I can't understand why he is so over rated.

Pete leaving is like when you’re favorite character in a tv show goes through a really cool and unexpected character arc, and some people don’t like them, but some people do, then at the end of the season, they die, but it’s a really good way to send their character off.

It's truly amazing the talent that has been bestowed upon us from SNL via Lorne. From Eddie, Chris Rock & Farley, Norm, Belushi, Bill Murray, Sandler, & countless others. Thanks for introducing us to Pete as well Lorne. Take care Pete.
I've never seen Pete in this kind of monologue setting, only skits. These jokes feel fresh and are some of the funniest I've seen from him.

Weekend update was like his thing. He was always hilarious. Look it up, my favorite one is the one he did about Kanye. Before Pete was dating Kim.

Definitely check out the Weekend Update he did a couple of years ago where he and John Mulaney reviewed the movie "The Mule". Hilarious and pretty ironic given John Mulaney's life since then.
Pete is one of the reasons I continued to watch the show weekly. His segments are always on point and his dry sense humor is fantastic. He’ll definitely be missed on the show.

Choked up a little. We have watched him struggle and win and lose and keep fighting. Hes funny and talented. He does have a bright future. Will miss seeing him on SNL (well the clips on youtube the next day). Hope he stays healthy and has continued success.
As bittersweet as it is I really am thrilled for Pete and his growing success, he’s a good dude who deserves that and more
One of my favorite SNL moments ever was Pete’s first time on Weekend Update. People couldn’t believe how seasoned his comedic timing was for such a young kid. I’m glad he’s following his own path and I hope it leads to great things

It's really nice to see so many positive comments about Pete.
I've always enjoyed his vulnerability and humor. He is relatable and humble. I think he seems like a very genuine person and I wish him happiness and good health.
This made me emotional. Pete has gone through so many ups and downs through his SNL run and SNL never gave up on him. He looks happy and healthy, and I wish him nothing but the best in the future!

He wasn’t always my cup of tea humor wise, but he took risks, put himself out there, and did things no other cast member could. Chad is an iconic character and I’ll miss how writers used to put him in sketches as a kid, knowing he would break. Here’s to a great career Pete!

Been following him since 2017. Saying that I am sad af is an understatement. I used to check in every Sunday morning to see if Pete was featured in a skit or an episode, and this has lead me to associate that time period as one of the best, as going through puberty I found Pete relatable af, so yea, I am sad now that he's leaving, but THANKS KING!

I have always found Pete Davison funny. I think he is a natural fit. It seems he lived through some extremely difficult times and personal growth before our eyes. I will miss Pete and wish him the very best.

I remember watching Pete Davidson first episode of SNL. I was a sophomore in college and this guy the same age as me was on SNL. I’ve kind of grown up with him, besides the part of dating extremely famous women.
