    😔💔It's sad. He froze. Most of us have never heard a semi-automatic assault rifle, so we probably wouldn't be able to tell what was going on either. It's sad because the parents are under the false impression that if the EMTs had gotten there soon, their kids would be alive, but that simply is not true. The only reason Mr. Reyes is alive, it is because he was overweight, and his body fat protected his vital organs like a bullet proof vest.

    • @MsJanetWood
      @MsJanetWood Год назад +1

      THE SCIENTIFIC FACTS: According to Cynthia Bir, a professor of research surgery at the University of Southern California *There's going to be a lot more damage to the tissues, both bones, organs, whatever gets kind of even near this bullet path. The bones aren't going to just break; they're going to shatter. Organs aren't just going to tear or have bruises on them; they're going to be, parts of them are going to be destroyed.*
      After an AR-15 style rifle bullet blasts a large cavity through soft tissue, blood pressure then pumps that cavity with blood, causing many victims of AR-15 shots to bleed out *BEFORE rescue workers can reach them*
      *Injury from a SEMI-AUTOMATIC ASSAULT RIFLE is potentially lethal* What the AR-15 does to the human body and why it's different from the wounds created by a handgun.
      Most emergency rooms haven't had to treat victims who've been shot with an AR-15 style rifle. "It is a whole different kind of injury," 60 Minutes producer Ashley Velie tells 60 Minutes Overtime's Ann Silvio..
      "When you're hit with an AR-15 bullet, most people die fairly quickly from bleeding out."
      _Based on the 60 MINUTES news story, entitled HIGH VELOCITY, reported by Scott Pelley and produced by Ashley Velie, and a CBS NEWS article written for 60 MINUTES OVERTIME, entitled LEARNING TO STOP THE BLEED written by Brit McCandles Farmer. (August 18, 2019)_

Another smart idea would be for all students to have a key fob to enter the classroom and the windows on the classsroom doors NEED to be bulletproof. In every single school in the nation. We have officers who cannot even shoot straight and you want a teacher to bear the responsibility of having to shoot into a crowd of students and take out a perpetrator. The first time that teacher kills an innocent child he/she will be roasted alive not to mention the guilt. Should we require nurses,doctors,surgeons,priests to be armed as well. Shooting a stationary paper target once a month is no substitute for living breathing moving flesh. The solution is staring us in the face and it has nothing to do with less guns. There are so many mysteries about God and why bad things happen to good people. Though we don’t have all the answers in this world, we have to understand every human, once born and independent, has free will. Free will to choose right over wrong, free will to serve others, free will to steal and destroy. The Bible teaches “in the last days, men will be lovers of themselves...”.
      Friends, these are times we live in where I believe demonic activity is infilling those who are weak and have opened themselves up to evil. Times where we need to be on guard and equipped for the day we live. I know it is hard to understand, but I encourage each person to seek answers and give The Bible the chance to answer. Find a good Church where you live or leader(s) in Bible Scripture online like Jack Hibbs who explains and breaks down MODERN TIMES with Ancient Scripture. He has a series “Real Life” and “ What’s Happening Now” that are excellent. I encourage you and share blessings from California. God says “Seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened to you”.

      @@johnrogers9481 Be sure of this...this shooter had the free will choice to do good or to do evil...he chose evil. This didn't happen overnight...he was exposed to and adopted wrong philosophies in his head as well as his dark heart.
      Could God have stopped this....sure. Why He didn't, I do not know. But I know God and His son Jesus Christ are good and loving inspite of us humans doing our very best to bring chaos and confusion into an already broken world.
      But here's the good news...even in the midst of our mess, there's still an opportunity for redemption and salvation. You can seek the Lord with your questions while He may be found.

    As bad as it sounds now a days as it is and has been for many other times there has been shootings, it’s time for teachers to bare fire arms secured in their classrooms to where they can have access to for situations like this. Police not always will make it intime to help and when they do like in this case some don’t do anything. It’s sad but it needs to happen to where all teachers in every classrooms have locked firearms so they can defend their children and themselves from monsters that enter or break in. It wouldn’t be a bad idea if there is a bullet proof closet for every classroom too. But that’s just a dream of mine. So no other innocent children and teachers die like this.

    • @Teri_B.
      @Teri_B. Год назад +3

      Some states allow teachers to carry a firearm or have one secured in their classroom. Most schools are requiring bulletproof windows on classroom doors. There's a place in every classroom where students & teachers can hide against a wall & not be seen thru the window on the door. Unfortunately, most teachers & students aren't aware of it, so it will now be included in their safety training. Lastly, a guy invented a bookcase that's attached/clipped to the wall beside the classroom door. If a teacher or student realizes someone has entered the school with a gun or weapon, they can unclip the bookcase, & slide & turn it 90° where it blocks the classroom door. It's heavy, made of steel (or another bulletproof material) & denies entry into the classroom.
      Other safety measures are being implemented, like having only one monitored & surveilled entrance & exit, installing doors that lock automatically & implementing strict protocols that must be followed at ALL times by school personnel. They also encourage ALL parents to request a copy of their school's safety protocols, then test them on random occasions. For instance, a parent can drop off their child, run an errand or have breakfast, then go back to the school. They can see how easy or difficult it is to access different areas of campus, test doors to make sure they're locked, & ensure there's only one monitored entrance to each building.
      PTL there are organizations & individuals who work fulltime to come up with solutions, invent products, implement safety measures, provide training for teachers & students, work with LEOs, & do everything they possibly can to keep children safe at school. 🇺🇸🙏🏼💞

      The average teacher is not designed to carry a firearm or even how to use it well. On top of all the teaching requirements that have to keep up with for teaching children, do you really believe most will have the capacity to keep up with the ongoing requirements to carry a firearm? It's a recipe for disaster.
      Be well and be at peace.

      It's voluntary. Only teachers who want to be armed, have been trained & feel comfortable handling a firearm will be allowed to carry or have one secured in their classroom. It will also be something that's kept confidential, so students won't know which teachers or school personnel have them. There are a lot of teachers & school personnel who own guns & feel like sitting ducks on school campuses that are gun-free zones. They have the right to defend themselves, like we all do, & to defend school children. If they feel more comfortable, safe & secure having a firearm with them at school, they should be allowed to have one. 🇺🇸🙏🏼💞

      As bad as it sounds I think it’s time for teachers to have the right to carry fire arms or some sort of weapon to always try to save their kids and themselves evacuee police can’t get there on time and when they do in this case they don’t do anything. Sadly it is more preferable for teachers to have fire arms locked up and have access to it near them in their classrooms.

      @@Thelordismyshephard50 what about the kids that will steal them or criminals making that a easy way to get one as well just stealing it or can just make the situation alot worse with bullets flying everywhere cause some people don't like guns as much as other people done people have made them toys now more than ever why don't talk and teach like they use too a man or woman don't need a gun to prove a point . anymore

      It's the teacher's choice. If they take classes & feel comfortable handling a firearm, they should absolutely be able to have one in their classroom. It would be secured so students wouldn't have access, & it'd be confidential so they wouldn't know which teachers have them. ALL school personnel should be able to have a gun on campus if they're properly trained & feel comfortable with one. In gun free zones, everyone but the criminal is a sitting duck. There will be far fewer incidents on school campuses if criminals know there are personnel with firearms. If they're surrounded by an unknown number of good guys with guns who will act immediately, they'll think twice before acting themselves. They go where there's a vunerable population for a reason, & gun free zones are their #1 target. Every state needs to honor the Constitution & allow Constitutional Carry. States & cities with the strictest gun control laws have the most incidents of violent acts committed with firearms. An armed society is a polite society. 😊 ALWAYS protect our 2nd Amendment at ALL cost. 🇺🇸🙏🏼💞

      This is the stupidest thing ever. I don’t understand you Americans. Teachers are not protectors. They have enough on their plate.

    As much sympathy for this teacher...he failed that day also. Take some accountability Mr. You've trained for school shootings the min you hear loud bangs is the seconds you need to lock down and protect your students. Just a tragedy all around that day.
