Like I said many times... I love Angelina, she does a beautiful job on this cover....but...I’m a huge Neil Diamond fan, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him live....his version of this song is top notch. I really hate saying who sings covers better, listen to Neil singing this song.

Hap I have put off commenting on this because of the experience you had while sleeping on your flight. I needed to think this over! Just a short bio if you will of myself, I am big into the studying of the Native American Culture (Northeastern Woodland Indians) of North America. All native cultures around the world are all open minded like people, so what you had or was given to you was a sign of what’s going or whats to come in Angelina's life which is a good thing. it could have been at the same time she was signing her contract, don't know but what I will say is the Great Spirit (God, the lord) works in many different ways, as you have said in past reactions of Angelina's Angels Angels, on some of her videos you see in the background on the wall pictures, grandfathers pictures in the middle, pictures of Christ, pictures of Angels so with that being said it looks like and sounds like she has her SHIELD her protector from above Grandfather and her religious beliefs, then here on earth she has her grandmother, her mother, her father, her uncle and last but not least us her fans. Love that we get to see her facial performance, unlike the ones with her hidden behind a mic. This and her interview skills are what need work for her to achieve the superstar status. By the way Taylor Swift is also signed to Republic. If there's anyone who knows the pitfalls of the recording industry and demands a high level of personal control of her career, it would be Taylor. So Angelina would seem to be in good company.

To appreciate how unbelievably touching Angelina's interpretation of this song is, you should listen to someone, anyone else sing it, like Barbra Streisand, or Frank Sinatra, or Madonna or Jacques Brel (who wrote it in another language - French). This is a 1959 song and there doesn't seem to be any current artist versions, not that it would matter. Whwn Angelina sings, she is singing to you, and you are wishing you could sing it, like Angelina, to the one you love.

Shout out to Angelina's grandma. She buys her son a Walkman and Rolling Stones CD fuelling his interest in the music industry. She plays jazz music to granddaughter Angelina fuelling her interest in jazz music. Fast forward to the present. He becomes Angelina's manager and helps propel Angelina's career to superstardom culminating with her recent signing with Republic Records.

Thanks for checking this one out! This is a performance that I really love from Angelina. She puts so much emotion into this vocal. I only did some work on this video because in the original, the sound was very low in some parts, and loud in other parts. I listened to it often... but always with my hand on the volume control. This may be why you had trouble with your reaction to the original. While I was correcting the audio, I decided the video needed to be enhanced a little as well...... and then spent about a month trying to get a look I was happy with. Again, thanks for doing this one because this beautiful vocal has gone overlooked for too long.

Well, aren't you all spiffed up- new digs, colorful hoodie, no hat? Looking good there, young man! But the reaction was all Hap. Good comments. She pushes the emotions in this one. I think her sad side is even more intense than the happy side, but they both are strong. Good performance by Angelina.
I am happy for Angelina and her team (her Shield) for signing with Republic. Production and distribution will get a big boost by knowledgeable folks. Lots of fans express concern but I have faith in Angelina and the folks around her to make it work for her. It is a little like lost innocence but the music world IS out there and needs to be dealt with. I was expecting a push after AGT. Tour and concerts were foiled by covid. Probably schooling has been disrupted as well. Now's the time! The future, her future, is upon us. New stuff should happen relatively quickly. This is exciting! Regarding her signing with Republic records, her uncle is her manager. He said he has turned down dozens of offers from the biggest people in the business in the past couple of years, because they did not meet Angelina's criteria. Republic offered a deal on his terms, allowing more freedom it seems. Based on what he says, they will not be issues with this label like with others. That's why he decided to take the deal now.
Sounds like good news in promoting her image & fame but What does it mean in practice . Does that making AJ pro active .

Thanks as always Hap. Rusty did a great job with this video, as usual. A lot of Angelina's fans are very excited she is now signed with Republic Records, but of course there's always the worry about interrupting her childhood and schooling that the family promised to protect. Based on the past, and what uncle Michael said in the article announcing this, I still have ultimate faith in the family of "Shields" Angelina has around her. Michael said he found the right people, the right lawyers, and the right fit for Angelina. I have to bet that includes keeping her childhood and education intact. Personally, and as are all her fans, I'm very excited and looking forward to what is coming next :-)
I remember hearing or reading somewhere that Angelina is 2 or 3 years ahead in her education level for her age. Given how smart and driven she is about her goals, it wouldn't surprise me if she has nearly completed her education requirements to graduate. I'm really happy for Angelina and I'm sure that her mother/shield will be with her every step of the way.

I recently listened to a podcast interview with the legendary bass player Victor Wooten, and he mentioned that his parents never showed any concern regarding his and he's brothers musical talent, or insisted that he should practice hard or to do this thing or another. Their concern was to make sure the boys grew up to become _good people,_ so that regardless what they did, they would do it for the right reasons.
I think that Angelina's lyrics in that song should be seen in a similar perspective and that they are a profound declaration of love and eternal thankfulness towards her parents, and specifically her mother, who always supports her, comforts her and is always forgiving and giving her unconditional love.
@@YozhikvTumane In this reaction to Angelina, Hapspeak3 mentions "raw honesty" and to my mind that describes Angelina. For me, she is the most openly transparent singer on earth. There is no artifice about her. She is the only person I know who is so comfortable in herself as a human being that she is allows personal videos of herself "warts and all" be uploaded for consumption to the public. And that confidence is undoubtedly as a result of the love and support she has received from her family. I am in total awe of her.

This is a nice old song. In this particular song and few others like Billie Holiday song "All of me", she is also a performer but a genuine one transferring lots of emotions story telling, quite artistic. Liked it more listening it second time. Not quite sure what sort of twist will be happening in her nice music, I mean this Republic signing that has been circulating thick & fast in YT

I'm shocked to discover that she signed, but I'm not disappointed. I'm a patreon of Angelina, but I don't go on the channel a lot. I'm assuming you got this information from a reliable source like Rusty. Getting Angelina to sign is a coup for any record label; many have tried and failed. It is obvious to most that she is going to be a superstar. So why would she sign now? I think because she can get the best quality production for her songs, and she gets a powerful marketing organization to promote and distribute both her albums and herself. Knowing Angelina and her family, I would guess that she would still maintain artistic control, and there would be no pressure from Republic for Angelina to produce a certain quota of songs/albums. I think this is a good time to do this. Her album of original songs can now be completed in L. A. (just a guess) and released while she is still known by many from NGT and AGT. Her popularity on YT has grown exponentially since AGT, so now is the right time. While I believe her education is important, we all know what Angelina is meant to be: a jazz phenomenom. So in a broader sense, her "education" will be exposure to more things that are in line with her destiny: Jazz Greatness! And she has chosen a great label to assist her with that. Good luck Angelina!! And thank you Hap, for all you have done to promote Angelina. 😊💕
