Everything about this woman is extraordinary, an enormous talent, vocal cords blessed by the gods of music, a feeling that makes you believe what you hear, and in this case accompanied by one of the best orchestral versions I have heard in my long time life.

Training 4-6 hours a day every day 52 weeks a year is what produced those vocal cords, not some blessing by the gods of music. How about giving Jordan the credit she deserves for all her hard work and determination!

      @LuisGarcia-ry5yk Месяц назад +2

@@kerrythomas6220 I see that you have not assimilated my analysis well, I will extend it a little more. You can train hard 6 hours a day for 520 weeks, but if you don't have the necessary talent, you will only get to sing at a friend's bachelor party.

@@LuisGarcia-ry5yk Still won’t give her any credit for making the most of her talent. A lot of people have natural talent and never get anywhere because they don’t have the determination and drive to work hard and develop them to the best of their abilities, as Jordan has done. The most successful people in any field are always the hardest workers, not just the most talented.

❤️❤️❤️❤️👣 As another reactor said, with Angelina, it's not about her it's about the song. She doesn't show off to show what can can do but rather she gives the song, and the situation, what it needs. She treated the song and situation with incredible delicacy, and the result was a beautiful tribute to Narges and her children. She displayed great maturity that many far older performers would perhaps not have displayed. She could have blown the doors off of the song and made it all about her, but she had the wisdom to not do that and, in the end, made the performance all the more emotional.

Excellent reaction and you are right, she was involved in the arrangement. It was mentioned she thanked the Conductor for trusting her with her suggested arrangement. She is a Musical Genius, who knows what a song needs to emote the emotion she wants to convey to her listeners, God Bless!

John Gary vs Angelina Jordan Unchained Melody
One of the most memorable experiences of my life was seeing John Gary perform live in Seattle, WA, when I was 20 years old. He had such a powerful and beautiful voice that filled the whole auditorium. During the break, he sat down on the edge of the stage and played his guitar, singing Unchained Melody with so much emotion and passion. It was a sublime moment that I shared with my wife, and I felt like we were the only ones in the room. At that time, I thought to myself; how could anyone top that performance, but 56 years later a 17-year-old Angelina Jordan just did.
Angelina Jordan's performance at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Norway in 2023 blew me away. She sang with such passion and emotion that I felt every word in my soul. She truly captured the essence of the song and made it her own. and she is only 17-year-old. I have never heard anything like it before, this genius never ceases to amaze me.

Wonderful job on this one. You noticed all of what I think made this rendition what I think is the best I have heard. She is so good at driving home the emotion of the song and something I have noticed about her is she will change a song to fit the venue occasion. As you stated a lot of people would have blown the doors off but--the room, the orchestra, the occasion/meaning of the song did not call for it. Angelina did a lot in a narrow dynamic range and as you stated did not overshadow the orchestra as she was more like one of the instruments. You may have been told this but I marveled at how well her fit was with the orchestra and embarrassingly never considered that she arranged this as she thanked KORK for trusting her arrangement. The a Capella on the word me was such a powerful choice, actually my favorite part of this song. It just reached out and gave you a big hug and really drove the song home. I can't get over how each time I listen to her in any venue it feels like she is personally singing to me alone. Look forward to more and thanks for the support for Angelina. If I may, a suggestion of "I 'Will Survive" that she did at 10. If you do it keep telling yourself she is 10 as I want to know if you "believe it".

There is a short video, maybe from Mery's TikTok, with her and the conductor (and maybe someone else) going over the arrangement beforehand. At one point they played back part of the original version and Angelina says something like "Yeah, play it like that and I'll do something over that".
There's another video of the full rehearsal as well.

What I do like is you leaving a little of the history of Angelina and the the song she is singing. Putting on screen while playing song and chatting to us.
The song I think you should React to next, is Princess of Ruins. Find this on James Thiels channel. From Vagus concert at. 7.30 pm which is first concert of the night.
Next is. (Angelina Jordan Ten Years In the making) find this on Angelina Jordans Official youtube channel. Interview of her music life. You can React to this too.? Others have. Most of it recorded on her way to the Vagus Concert. Amazing story.
Angelina has some fantastic fans she calls her Angels. It not going to be long before her Angels find you and feed you with an amazing amount of Angelina history. They will also give you an amazing song list of hers which you can react too.
Angelina had 2 concerts back to back at the Westgate Hotel in Vagus, on 29/2/24. Total of around 40 songs, both concerts. Only 30min break between concerts. She sang a song that not released yet
She wrote, called Princess of Ruins. This is about why she always has bare feet when she sings on a public stage. (In short) She met a homeless girl, weighing people on bathroom scales in the street for money. Angelina gave her shoes to her when she was 6years old, as she not have any shoes.

Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking all angels and others to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina was recorded here in December 2023 at the Nobel Peace prize ceremony in Oslo Norway, performing this beautiful version of Unchained Melody. She paid tribute to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware and call for change, the more likely the leaders of Iran will set her free. Acts of kindness are inspirational, as Angelina always reminds us. We angels, and all others must honor Angelina, and those who represent our values, by doing all we can to help, and be kind to others. Even the smallest gestures can make a difference.
Thank you for providing artist links to the official channel and video in your description, and encouraging your viewers to use those links as you do for your own channel. That will help ensure her success and her goal of spreading peace and love to the world.

Every year since the age of 7, Angelina has put out performances the great performers would love to have under their belt! At least 40 "I have no words" "What planet is she from" "This has no name" "She is channeling the greats in Jazz" and on and on. Her followers are called "Angels" and many reactors have been changed by her and some only do reacts of her now. We are witnessing something special I never say this about anyone except family in this industry and not even this much in 58 years. But that's just me, hell I still love a 90's Mexican Strat sound.

What a wonderful reaction and besides all your observations, comments and editing during the video, your closing very short statement said it all. "Wow." No exclamation point is required, just a period does it. Of course you have since found out all about the Nobel Peace Prize event and the Ceremony celebrating Narges Mohammadi and her efforts to speak out about issues concerning the rights of women in Iran. James Thiel's production was a piece of work and I'm so glad you watched it. A note which deserves mention is the Iranian government once considered releasing her from prison but with one condition, that she stop speaking about the issues concerning the rights of women in Iran. She met with her family (her husband and their two children, twins, a boy and a girl) and spoke about how nice it would be to reunite them but Narges reminded them how strongly she felt about her stance on so many points and that she could never agree to such a condition. So, she remains in prison. And, to further complicate everything, she has stated she has no intention of ever leaving Iran (her family now resides on France).
Angelina's interpretation of the classic song was masterful as well as emotional and the closing notes, yes, deserved a "wow". only Angelina...

    Written by Larry D. Pifer
This is Angelina Jordan the most extraordinary storyteller in my lifetime.
Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize Dec. 2023
Unchained Melody (AJ, at the age of 17 performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony December 2023 in Oslo, Norway) I watched as Angelina Jordan stepped onto the stage, her presence commanding attention. The room hushed, anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate thread. She stood there, a young girl with an old soul, ready to weave magic with her voice. As the first notes of "Unchained Melody" filled the room, time seemed to slow. Angelina's voice wrapped around each word, infusing them with a depth that transcended mere lyrics. It was as though the song had been written for her, and her alone. The audience held its breath as she sang. Her voice soared, reaching heights that touched the heavens. The pain and longing in her eyes mirrored the emotions in the song-the heartache, the yearning. It was more than a performance; it was a revelation. The chorus came, and Angelina's voice swelled, filling every corner of the room. " Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch," she sang, and suddenly, we all felt the real meaning of the words. The magic in her performance was like nothing we had ever experienced in our lives. The lyrics came alive and had meaning as they flowed through us. In that moment, Angelina Jordan became a vessel for something greater-an embodiment of love itself. Her voice carried us beyond our own pain and loneliness. We felt connected-to her, to each other, to something intangible yet profound. As she held that final note, time snapped back into place. The applause erupted-a thunderous acknowledgment of what we had just witnessed. But it wasn't just applause; it was gratitude-for allowing us to glimpse love and longing through Angelina's eyes. And so, we stood there, hearts full, tears in our eyes. Angelina Jordan had given us something rare-a reminder that love exists even in our brokenness. And for those few minutes, we believed it with every fiber of our being.

AJ has already carved out her niche in history.
Angelina Jordan, a prodigious talent from Norway, has been making waves in the music industry since her stunning victory on Norway's Got Talent at the tender age of seven. Her unique voice and style have captivated audiences worldwide, leading to a successful career at a young age. With her soulful renditions and mature vocal prowess, Angelina has drawn comparisons to legendary singers, including Celine Dion. Now, at 18, she continues to enchant listeners with her music, which includes a mix of original songs and covers that showcase her versatility and emotional depth. Her journey from a viral child star to a respected artist is a testament to her dedication and the support of her fans. As she steps into the limelight, Angelina Jordan is indeed poised to carry on the legacy of great musicians before her, and to elevate that greatness to a new level, bringing her own distinctive flair to the world stage.

Since you’re relatively new to this magnificent creature, I think there are a few things you should know. At 1 1/2 mom Sara handed Jordan a mic and she sang in English (she’s Norwegian) I Will Always Love You. Whose mic was that? Taught herself how to sing watching RUclips jazz videos with her Grandma Mery starting about 3 years old. Practiced 4-6 hours a day, every day, 52 weeks a year to this day. Enrolled in an after school music program where she learned how to read, deconstruct and rearrange music and to play the piano and the guitar. Never had a vocal lesson, only advice on how to not damage her vocal cords. Won Norway’s Got Talent at 8 and donated the 80,000 dollars to charity, which was just distributed on her 18th birthday. So far Jordan has raised over 20 million dollars for children’s charities. At 6, met a girl in the mid east who was weighing people in the streets for money who was shoeless, so she gave the girl her favorite green boots off her own feet, and performs barefoot to remind herself of that girl. Her original Princess of Ruins is about that incident. Jordan says performing barefoot is her identity.
One song you might consider reacting to fairly soon is one she did the summer after winning Norway’s Got Talent, before her trip to the US. No matter how many times I watch it, I still get choked up. I’ve watched her perform this numerous other times but this one location really gets me every single time. She’s 8 years old and it’s What a Difference a Day Makes. If you close your eyes, you’ll swear you’re listening to the original by Dinah Washington, but then you open them and there’s this little angel standing barefoot, all alone on an island surrounded by thousands of people, Angelina Jordan Astar, which when translated literally means messenger of God descends from the Light. I mean, you just can’t make this stuff up!

I think this is the most tender, delicate & emotional version of this song that I've ever heard. Bobby Hatfield, of the Righteous Brothers, was always my favorite version. Every time she sang it she kept getting closer to Bobby's "Gold Standard," but this version finally surpassed him, IMO. Those final high notes are some of the most beautiful sounds my ears have ever heard & makes me tear up every time. My #1 song, so far, by Angelina is her 16 yo version of the jazz classic, My Funny Valentine, recorded by everybody over the last 50 years, but none so beautifully as this version. ruclips.net/video/bWiLOnHJYxg/видео.html It's a Masterclass in everything vocal, but her dynamic range & control is off the charts. She goes from a whisper to a full belt then back to a whisper in a flash. Two years later at 18 during her 2nd show in Las Vegas, she sang what I call her Triple S version (Sexy, Sensual & Sultry) & it is very jazzy. ruclips.net/video/LUM9vaM4nXw/видео.html Maybe you could do a double reaction to both versions to see which one you like the best. The creative talent of Angelina Jordan is astonishing.
Angelina Jordan's rendition of "Unchained Melody" for the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony was a tribute to laureate Narges Mohammadi, showcasing not only her vocal talent but also her skill in musical arrangement. Working closely with the Kork Orchestra, Jordan meticulously crafted the performance during rehearsals, collaborating with other musicians to bring her vision to life. This behind-the-scenes effort is a testament to her dedication to her craft, allowing audiences to appreciate the intricate process of creating such a moving tribute. Her performance, broadcasted on NRK1, Norway, and shared across various platforms, has been praised for its emotional depth and artistic integrity, reflecting Jordan's deep connection to the piece and the event it honored.

Angelina and KORK(Norwegian Radio Orchestra) did a magnificent rendition of Unchained Melody! The perfect song for Narges Mohammadi Nobel Peace Prize! And let’s not forget Angelina’s Iranian heritage and Oslo is her hometown! Third time with KORK, she did Back to Black and Summertime when she was 10! Has been invited twice to Nobel Peace Prize, previously appeared when she was eight! She has brought grace and elegance back to the stage! Narges is in jail for leading the fight for women’s rights in Iran! At the end Angelina puts her hand over her heart acknowledging Narges children who were on stage and happen to be Angelina’s age and are living in exile in France! Remember that she was codified a National Treasure of Norway by the King and Prime Minister when she was eight years old! To me she has set the platinum stars for this song!

She continues to excel and her work ethic is fantastic! The collaboration is awesome and how she says she will add something to it at the end, a master at work!

Thank you Ken, really enjoy your videos. Would not really consider you a reactor but more a music educator IMO. So very happy you realized that her arrangement of this beautiful Iconic song was done in Tribute to Narges and her children (who are attending) and not meant to show off her incredible vocal abilities. Many many "reactors" simply do not understand why she performed this in the way she did...mostly looking for the Righteous Brothers rendition which 1000's have done before. Again, very happy you absolutely understand what this young ladies brilliant musical mind was thinking with this arrangement. She actually did a beautiful, though shortened version of this song after an interview on the Lindmo Norwegian TV show after being interviewed about the release of her Book, "Between Two Hearts". She would be 9 years old. She does the very same ending to the song she just did here, only considerably younger but still absolutely stunning. Don't know if you ever saw that one but both the Interview and the performance are a must watch. Her is a link to the song (2 separate videos):ruclips.net/video/wGjqXxQbFgA/видео.html. Here is a link to the Interview about her book (CC for subtitles): ruclips.net/video/-cCLDY0CSZ8/видео.html. If you have not seen this Ken, hope you find the time. Cheers and much appreciation. 🥰🥰 BTW, as I have mentioned....love the Ale figurine behind you, cannot see the Dany one very well but that's some fine work.

They are both of her main Spector basses. Her Ale's inferno finish and Blue Thunder people call the other one. There is a video on my channel showing all three versions of this if you are interested. If you are referring to my bass, that one os an Ibanez on the floor and a Warning signed Schecter guitar on the wall. I also have the matching bass .

I was a Righteous Brothers fan, but they should not have messed with this classic. My personal opinion is that Bobby Hatfield destroyed Unchained Melody. Al Hibbler sang this classic in a movie in 1955 about a black man in prison and did a great version of this ballad. Again, this is a ballad and was recorded by Johnny Mathis, Andy Williams, and the greatest version of all was done by John Gary. Now, after hearing AJ's version of Bohemians Rhapsody, I am sure she could do a better job arranging it than the version by Bobby Hatfield that she performed as a child of 9 years of age.
I just experienced a short clip from Angelina Jordan's concert in Portsmouth, NH Sept 22, 2023, where she performed Unchained Melody that she rearranged, and it was glorious to say the least. I knew she would put her magic touch on one of the greatest emotional songs that has ever written.

    Her catalog is amazing ❤
I would suggest her cover of Alphavilles “Big in Japan”, “such a common bird” or “Ta tak I me” - the video with English subtitles.
Thank you for great reactions. I truly enjoy you ✨

which was cowritten with Toby Gad and performed at the Hotel Cafe, where Adele was "discovered" in Los Angeles. "Bad Valentine" is to be released
    later this summer.

You mean were Lucy thomas is wearing a orange dress . She has a great voice , but it's a bit white bread for my taste .As I recall Lucy is in a dark recording studio , or at least that's the impression given. She is Lip syncing into a dead microphone and the track is pitch corrected . It's a official music video , not a live performance.Dont feel to bad , that's the industry standard. Problem is its not a one off , most of her performances have been pitch corrected .
