Dimash is a genius! A great storyteller and paradigm breaker! Anyone who watched the video, made by a fan with his cell phone, of Dimash's show in Hong Kong, had the pleasure of a first contact with the song “When I've Got You” and realized, in Dimash's own music and in the lyrics by Candice Kelly and Dmytro Gordon, a romantic, seductive and passionate song sung with Dimash's own virtuosity. There was tension and anxiety in being able to watch the studio version with better sound quality... Now, with the release of this music video, we realize how creative Dimash is: A suspense video with a “noir” atmosphere, but without being located in the past, and a tale of passion about a supernatural creature who feels alone and needs to fulfill his passion for a mortal woman who suffers for wanting and not wanting turn her into one of his supernatural creatures. Iskander Yerbolat's plot intrigues us to solve the mystery of the entire tale being a dream of a journalist who interviews “DQ”, or being a reality where the “vampire” did not bite his “prey” out of love! Intriguing... The video is a show in itself: Desaturated with vivid red details (umbrella, blood in the hands, blood in the pool, advertising sign, neon on the mirror...), a classic Rolls Royce, a gloomy and modern mansion and lots of details. As background music, he uses the work “Flower Duet” (Lakimé) by Léo Delibes. To create an old and suspenseful atmosphere, he does not use the 1968 edition and recording, by Joan Sutherland and Jane Berbié, but rather the original version from 1915, sung by Alexandrovna Mikhailova and Ivanovna Panina, recorded with a gramophone! Dimash is a master composer, and he has always been the music producer for all his songs from a very young age. He does it for every song whether he composed it or it was written by others. Also the lyrics, he gets them written to his specification, this time they were English lyrics that he got an American lyricist to write for him. Dimash is an old soul and his musical Education and innate abilities set him apart. He is just about to finish his PhD but he will never stop educating and improving himself. Dimash is quite frankly a musical genius, a prodigy with an incredible work ethic. He is also a workaholic perfectionist with incredible talent and skills. He is an impressive actor who also has the ideas for his amazing videos, he works very closely with the director to make sure that his vision was made perfectly clear and he has been very successful thus far. His videos are epic movie quality productions, he has worked very hard on them. Watch his movie for his song Akkyum, its beautiful. His masterpiece The Story of One Sky leaves people totally speechless, he spent three years in between his concerts, and other work around the world working on it and boy, was it worth the time he spent on it. He has many other stunning and artistic music videos and some fun ones, Be With Me and Smoke come to mind. You have only dipped your toe in the world of Dimash, he is unique, unlike any artist you have come across. Trust us long time Dears who have watched him grow into this man full of music. Be with Me and Smoke are cleverly cute...A lot of fun to watch. Smoke is newer, and a bit more developed as a musical piece and video. Again, bot are different from much of the other stuff that he is known for. Well, except for the fact that he is known for being different in each performance. About the only thing you can expect from Dimash is that he will be unexpected.

Another very different composition co-written by Dimash, with lyrics by his Dad, and also featuring Dimash’s 17 year old brother on guitar and drums.
Ooo, if you like this MV you will love his other MVs. Dimash has moved into mini-film making to present his wonderful music and voice creations. He has many gorgeous cinematic MVs you will enjoy along with his one of a kind songs. Dimash produces all of his songs and has a wonderful music/sound arranger who helps him achieve the sounds he envisions in his head. Many fancams of his behind the scenes work in studios to get just the right instruments and notes he wants in his compositions. Don't know if you have watched his opus magnus MV The Story of One Sky which took him three years to compose the soundtrack of this short film. He also wrote the screenplay for the film. Another gorgeous romantic MV is Akkuym (My Swan in Kazakh) which is an older MV but so beautifully shot. Okay is another cinematic marvel with an unexpected music and vocal arrangement. Hi Ash! Dimash wrote, recorded and co-produced this track with Dymotro Gordan in Walter Afanasieff's Los Angeles studio. During this time Dimash was living in L.A. and studying with a very famous R&B vocal coach. I really like the results, and I wish he'd spend more time in LA and with this vocal coach. Unfortunately, I'll be very surprised if he returns 😥 Some things just aren't meant to be.

This is a mash up of Bram Stoker's "Dracula", "Interview with a Vampire", Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and Meatloaf's "Bat Out of Hell". All of Dimash's music videos are cinematic. He wrote this when he was in LA last year along with "Smoke" and "Fire". I think he had a lot of fun with this one.

She was “spirit writing”,not a terrible drawer,lol. She was supposed to be in a trance like state of spirit possession where she’s the conduit between the spirit world and the physical one…the spirits use her hand to take over and write messages to the living to communicate. Usually when the spirit first takes control the person acting as the conduit goes through a temporary confusion and jumble..so the writings are nonsense until the spirit “settles in” the host.then the messages become clearer and more readable usually. On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. We wanted the song to sound groovy, cinematic, epic, and bold. No holding back!,” shared Dmytro Gordon. (Dimash News)

Dimash said: “It is impossible to convey the emotions at the moment when you perform a new composition for the first time with words. I can probably only be understood by artists or composers, I can’t explain it in words right now. Ooo, if you like this MV you will love his other MVs. Dimash has moved into mini-film making to present his wonderful music and voice creations. He has many gorgeous cinematic MVs you will enjoy along with his one of a kind songs. Dimash produces all of his songs and has a wonderful music/sound arranger who helps him achieve the sounds he envisions in his head. Many fancams of his behind the scenes work in studios to get just the right instruments and notes he wants in his compositions. Don't know if you have watched his opus magnus MV The Story of One Sky which took him three years to compose the soundtrack of this short film. He also wrote the screenplay for the film.
Another gorgeous romantic MV is Akkuym (My Swan in Kazakh) which is an older MV but so beautifully shot. Okay is another cinematic marvel with an unexpected music and vocal arrangement. Also beautifully shot. Watch all his MVs. 😁 And you will constantly be surprised at his versatility so expect the unexpected with Dimash.

Hi Ash! Dimash wrote, recorded and co-produced this track with Dymotro Gordan in Walter Afanasieff's Los Angeles studio. During this time Dimash was living in L.A. and studying with a very famous R&B vocal coach. I really like the results, and I wish he'd spend more time in LA and with this vocal coach. Unfortunately, I'll be very surprised if he returns 😥 Some things just aren't meant to be.

This is a mash up of Bram Stoker's "Dracula", "Interview with a Vampire", Michael Jackson's "Thriller" and Meatloaf's "Bat Out of Hell". All of Dimash's music videos are cinematic. He wrote this when he was in LA last year along with "Smoke" and "Fire". I think he had a lot of fun with this one.

She was “spirit writing”,not a terrible drawer,lol. She was supposed to be in a trance like state of spirit possession where she’s the conduit between the spirit world and the physical one…the spirits use her hand to take over and write messages to the living to communicate. Usually when the spirit first takes control the person acting as the conduit goes through a temporary confusion and jumble..so the writings are nonsense until the spirit “settles in” the host.then the messages become clearer and more readable usually.
