I’d cry a lot, songs like on a plain and stay away helped me process complex feelings a little kid doesn’t really understand. I know skirt hated that he became so famous but from this little kids perspective... he really opened a lot of doors for me and my appreciation of music is still my core to this day. I’ll never forget Courtney reading his last note and being confused and scared like I had lost a third parent. I was just super lucky I lived next to a record store in the Bay Area and my papa gave me a fresh $20 every Friday to go find some new cds/tapes. Warehouse CDs Newark California man... miss that place

Cobain was a junkie.Hard to accept that for the fans but he wasn't too smart when he put a shotgun in his mouth.Axl was cocky, outspoken and many times an asshole but he was also the best frontmen and song writer of that generation. GN'R had a ton of super songs, fast and slow, simple and complex.Nirvana had Smell's like teen spirit.That's it !

Smells like teen spirit, in bloom, come as you are, lithium all came out as singles in the span of a year and completely flipped the industry on its head! RIP Kurt Cobain you were the man!
The thing about Krist's failed Bass toss and getting smacked straight in the face with the body of the bass, Krist was lucky he chose to use a Ebony Gibson L9-S The Ripper Bass (as those basses aren't very heavy) if he used say his Gibson RD Artist Series Bass (which was his "Main" bass during the Nevermind" tour in September/October & November/December 1991. That's a Heavy Bass that would of definitely Killed Krist if that was the bass used... At least the Gibson Ripper Bass is lighter then the Gibson RD Artist Series Bass, but the Ripper Bass isn't as light as the Gibson Thunderbird IV Bass.
Long before nirvana came together as a band or anybody mainstream knew any of the members when Mr. Bailey (axel) started showing up around Hollywood everybody thought he was an arrogant asshole.

Cobain & Love managed to get under Axl and Seymour's skin, but I like the idea that Duff also stood for his bandmates (however in an ill-advised way). Guns got it together to perform an epic rendition of November Rain with Elton John. Embracing their popularity and their award with gusto and skill. Considering Chris Novoselic whacked himself in the head with his own bass... I give the backstage win to Nirvana and the performance to Guns. Fair?
