As a kid getting shuffled from family member to family member the only thing I had that made me feel safe was my little Nevermond cassette my uncle had given me when he got it and didn’t like it. I can put into words what that tape did for me. I wouldn’t even ask for food, I was always trying to find a way to heard nirvana louder like finding a stereo or someone with monitor headphones. I’d cry a lot, songs like on a plain and stay away helped me process complex feelings a little kid doesn’t really understand. I know skirt hated that he became so famous but from this little kids perspective... he really opened a lot of doors for me and my appreciation of music is still my core to this day. I’ll never forget Courtney reading his last note and being confused and scared like I had lost a third parent. I was just super lucky I lived next to a record store in the Bay Area and my papa gave me a fresh $20 every Friday to go find some new cds/tapes. Warehouse CDs Newark California man... miss that place

I remember him and Courtney were in the news all the time. Courtney really rode his coattails. No one would even know who she was today, if she did not marry Kurt. At this point, MTV was all Nirvana. Rose didn't like that fact that a new band was way more popular then his band was.

The world wouldn’t have changed much, if gnr never came about, but nirvana literally changed the course of music history forever.

The thing about Krist's failed Bass toss and getting smacked straight in the face with the body of the bass, Krist was lucky he chose to use a Ebony Gibson L9-S The Ripper Bass (as those basses aren't very heavy) if he used say his Gibson RD Artist Series Bass (which was his "Main" bass during the Nevermind" tour in September/October & November/December 1991. That's a Heavy Bass that would of definitely Killed Krist if that was the bass used... At least the Gibson Ripper Bass is lighter then the Gibson RD Artist Series Bass, but the Ripper Bass isn't as light as the Gibson Thunderbird IV Bass.

Cobain & Love managed to get under Axl and Seymour's skin, but I like the idea that Duff also stood for his bandmates (however in an ill-advised way). Guns got it together to perform an epic rendition of November Rain with Elton John. Embracing their popularity and their award with gusto and skill. Considering Chris Novoselic whacked himself in the head with his own bass... I give the backstage win to Nirvana and the performance to Guns. Fair?
