I just subscribed the other day and I'm not sure it was a healthy decision for me. My heart breaks every time I watch these stories but breaks even more when I read some of the hateful comments. How can anything in this world change when people are so judgemental and heartless? How can people be so judgemental about people they don't know, don't want to know and don't care about? It's very easy to judge someone else when you're in a warm place and food in your belly and access to basic necessities. I realize we all form opinions and I myself am guilty of this but we need to stop and think about the pain these people endure on a daily basis and see that everyone has a story and everyone deserves to be protected and loved. Even tho this causes me pain to watch, I will not look away and pretend they do not exist. Even with my own precarious situation I will support this channel and cause the best I can. If you want to feel empowered you could do some voluntary work in some ONG in your community, It makes you pro-active. And you also meet a lot of cool people, most volunteers can become your friends.

@Esther A Yes, my own personal experience. I live in UK and I went through an almost identical situation. My local authority housed me the day I approached them. I was put in temporary accommodation then within an 8-10 month period. That was 16 yrs ago and I STILL live in the same 2 bedroom flat/apartment. So I am literally living proof of the situation.
Trying to sleep while homeless is the absolute worst....especially in the winter and summer. No escape from the weather, waking up wet or sunburned. Always either woken up by the cold or by police. I hope she's back on her feet know...I know how awful it is.

I was going through a financial trouble when I asked to my sister in another state to help me to stay at her house until I get back on my feet again. In the phone she was so loving and understanding like a good dick Jehovah's witness. Once I arrived to her house I became her slave maid but I did not care because I needed the help. Then she started with Jehovah this and Jehovah that but "I am Catholic", she forbidden me to celebrate my catholic holidays even Christmas , she started to make my life hell and when I finally found a job and I told her now I can pay you rent, she kicked me out of the house her whole family did not care, despite that I did everything and I took care of her ugly kids. I used to see her in the streets preaching but Jehovah is love and care until I went to her face and I called hypocrite in front of her beloved friends and I told them what she did to me and one of them replied too sad too ba if you a not a Jehovah witness no help for you..
I would have given her all I had to support her . such difficult circumstances she's been living under but still she smiled .... I could see the pain in her eyes but that beautiful smile is so deceiving .... God bless her... :-)

I was once homeless in my car addicted to drugs, and it was the worse experience of my life but it made me who I am today. If I ever won the lottery I would help every homeless person I could.

In UK if you're pregnant, you will be offered so much free help. If you are homeless and pregnant, you will be accommodated INSTANTLY! I know as I was technically (sofa surfing) homeless and pregnant. I was put in temporary accommodation the day I approached the council. From there I moved to a couple more temporary places until I was offered a council property. That was 16 yrs ago and I still live in the same flat. My home sweet home.
If someone enters the country tomorrow they'll give them a house yet she is here and they won't give one. How can they not see she's on a wheelchair and needs as much help as possible. People on the street get pregnant for many reasons - some are lonely and want someone to love them (a baby), some careless or don't have birth control but want comfort in the moment, some high or drunk. some rape.......so many reasons. It is esp. sad when one meets someone with multiple children all apprehended. There is so much loss...in every homeless person's life but esp. in the mother who has lost her children. Often that pain/guilt drives a woman to use or drink or give up.

I have only just seen tjis for the first time so this was in 2012. I would like an update of what has happened to her now to find out if anybody did help her after this video was shown. Instead of just interviewing these kind of people, you need to give them some monetary relief too, while you are at it. Also, you must be able to collect contributions from your viewers. Can this channel PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE after each interview give the people a bag of much needed essentials? It would cost literally less then $15 PER BAG (including the cheap back pack) to fill a back pack with much needed essentials for them. A blanket some disposable tooth brushes and razors, a bottle or two of fresh water, some fresh socks, some cheap snacks you can get some good snacks at the dollar store and maybe an umbrella. I've been looking at buying these myself and handing these out to the local homeless in my area it's just a little harder finding reasonably priced back packs online in bulk. Or if you can't organise the supplies maybe buy them a hot meal and sit with them while you eat out as a thank you for their time. You would make them feel human again they just want to be treated with respect and sitting and having a hot meal with them or just giving them a couple of minutes of your day would be exceptional. Otherwise we'll done on showing the real plight of these amazing people. Please try and give the interviewees a thank you for their time. They shouldn't have to give more of themselves without getting back. God bless.

I just subscribed the other day and I'm not sure it was a healthy decision for me. My heart breaks every time I watch these stories but breaks even more when I read some of the hateful comments. How can anything in this world change when people are so judgemental and heartless? How can people be so judgemental about people they don't know, don't want to know and don't care about? It's very easy to judge someone else when you're in a warm place and food in your belly and access to basic necessities. I realize we all form opinions and I myself am guilty of this but we need to stop and think about the pain these people endure on a daily basis and see that everyone has a story and everyone deserves to be protected and loved. Even tho this causes me pain to watch, I will not look away and pretend they do not exist. Even with my own precarious situation I will support this channel and cause the best I can. Keep fighting the good fight!!
If you want to feel empowered you could do some voluntary work in some ONG in your community, It makes you pro-active. And you also meet a lot of cool people, most volunteers can become your friends.

@Esther A Yes, my own personal experience. I live in UK and I went through an almost identical situation. My local authority housed me the day I approached them. I was put in temporary accommodation then within an 8-10 month period. That was 16 yrs ago and I STILL live in the same 2 bedroom flat/apartment. So I am literally living proof of the situation.

Trying to sleep while homeless is the absolute worst....especially in the winter and summer. No escape from the weather, waking up wet or sunburned. Always either woken up by the cold or by police. I hope she's back on her feet know...I know how awful it is.

Bibi Landin, I used to work for social services in Canada. Unless England is a living hellscape I know women in her situation would receive immediate assistance and priority housing. For the reason of her obvious disability and pregnancy.

I was going through a financial trouble when I asked to my sister in another state to help me to stay at her house until I get back on my feet again. In the phone she was so loving and understanding like a good dick Jehovah's witness. Once I arrived to her house I became her slave maid but I did not care because I needed the help. Then she started with Jehovah this and Jehovah that but "I am Catholic", she forbidden me to celebrate my catholic holidays even Christmas , she started to make my life hell and when I finally found a job and I told her now I can pay you rent, she kicked me out of the house her whole family did not care, despite that I did everything and I took care of her ugly kids. I used to see her in the streets preaching but Jehovah is love and care until I went to her face and I called hypocrite in front of her beloved friends and I told them what she did to me and one of them replied too sad too ba if you a not a Jehovah witness no help for you..

I could never imagine seeing my kids on the street I will always offer my kids a place to stay... It's heartbreaking to see homeless people. I was once homeless in my car addicted to drugs, and it was the worse experience of my life but it made me who I am today. If I ever won the lottery I would help every homeless person I could.

In UK if you're pregnant, you will be offered so much free help. If you are homeless and pregnant, you will be accommodated INSTANTLY! I know as I was technically (sofa surfing) homeless and pregnant. I was put in temporary accommodation the day I approached the council. From there I moved to a couple more temporary places until I was offered a council property. That was 16 yrs ago and I still live in the same flat. My home sweet home.
I had a very different experience myself. It very much depends on the council you're dealing with, who gets given your case, all sorts.

If someone enters the country tomorrow they'll give them a house yet she is here and they won't give one. How can they not see she's on a wheelchair and needs as much help as possible. People on the street get pregnant for many reasons - some are lonely and want someone to love them (a baby), some careless or don't have birth control but want comfort in the moment, some high or drunk. some rape.......so many reasons. It is esp. sad when one meets someone with multiple children all apprehended. There is so much loss...in every homeless person's life but esp. in the mother who has lost her children. Often that pain/guilt drives a woman to use or drink or give up.

Why would God want “poor” meaning those without monetary wealth, be allowed in heaven if they don’t follow the 10 Commandments, don’t recognise Jesus as their Saviour, and basically lived a bad life - he wouldn’t.
Being poor is not a short cut to get in to heaven, period!
Now what does poor “in spirit” mean those who acknowledge they are spiritually bankrupt before God, it is the tax collector standing before God in the Temple, beating his breast saying, “God, be merciful to me for I am a sinner,” (Luke 18:9-14).
And when Luke who omits the words “in spirit” means those who have no wealth have less to stop them attaining their spiritual lives, knowing that having massive wealth CAN be corrupting.

Can this channel PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE after each interview give the people a bag of much needed essentials? It would cost literally less then $15 PER BAG (including the cheap back pack) to fill a back pack with much needed essentials for them. A blanket some disposable tooth brushes and razors, a bottle or two of fresh water, some fresh socks, some cheap snacks you can get some good snacks at the dollar store and maybe an umbrella. I've been looking at buying these myself and handing these out to the local homeless in my area it's just a little harder finding reasonably priced back packs online in bulk. Or if you can't organise the supplies maybe buy them a hot meal and sit with them while you eat out as a thank you for their time. You would make them feel human again they just want to be treated with respect and sitting and having a hot meal with them or just giving them a couple of minutes of your day would be exceptional. Otherwise we'll done on showing the real plight of these amazing people. Please try and give the interviewees a thank you for their time. They shouldn't have to give more of themselves without getting back. God bless.
