BUILD CONFIDENCE by Practicing this Basic Watercolor URBAN SKETCHING Approach

In this video, I share my approach to line and wash, watercolour sketching. I am a regular urban sketcher, actively involved with Urbansketchers Mumbai chapter. This is the same approach I use when I am outdoors with my sketchbook and paints. It relies heavily upon identifying and defining values. Using this approach, I give my sketches a sense of light and volume, one layer at a time.

Paper: Strathmore Mixed Media Visual Journal. 9 x 12
Paints: Assorted artist grade watercolours
Brushes: 4, 8, 12 round, Escoda Versatil, local flat brush
Pens: 0.3, 0.6 Sakura Fineliner, Sailor Fude nib Pen with black Carbon ink
