ExpeditionOverland was only a few hours ago i mentioned on episode 4 when will this episode be coming out, go to say im chuffed to bits hehe Please dont take too long for ep6, and like i said its only yourselves to blame for mine and many others impatience because the series is absolutely mega!
You guys produce what is arguably the best series here on RUclips. It’s actualky got me out trying to spend more time overlanding than hunting this year.
Remember my altitude sickness very well driving in one day from Nasca to Cusco in 2007. My wife and I had the worst headache ever for 2-3 days. Keep up the great work, guys!
This was the best episode of the season so far. More interesting when things don’t go perfect and when visiting out of the way places and people..Looking forward to the rest..
Agreed. The last episode was the best ever, but this one beats it. That shot when they were on that really flat road next to the drawings in the sand...seemed like such a moment of clarity.
You guys and gals continue to amaze and inspire me. Your views on the value and importance of travel ring so true. I love how your production values have increased with every single episode. Your aerial work has become absolutely stellar. But bottom line, I sincerely appreciate how you are devoted to what you do and how your passion shines through. I truly believe you folks are folks of faith and I want to thank you for inspiring me to be even more adventurous on my own. Thank you and God bless,,,
Hello to the XO crew and team. That episode was by far the best one of your journey in my opinion. I loved all the footage and experiences and the regional people. WOW, I LOVED that so much. I cant thank you enough for making this journey to show the world what travelling can do for the soul. I am so excited for my spring time trip because of this! Thank you again, Mike
If you ever have the chance to go back to Peru, drive to the Colca Canyon from the city of Arequipa. The road is challenging but the views are unforgettable. You also have to visit Machu Picchu, you won’t be able to take X3, Samson and Rufio but seeing the ruins in person is priceless.
I just finished EP5 Awesome so far. I have enjoyed your videos starting with the first ones in Moab then AkYk. I had the pleasure of meeting you, Shellie, Heather, Jeff at Expo West in May. Can hardly wait for EP 6 and the rest. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year at Expo West.
Super job everyone. And it does take a unified team and team leader no matter what comments come back. Gives me something to look forward too while watching the snow pile up. Inspirational as I'm planning the expeditions for 2018. Kudo's for Heather.
I wish I could find someone like Heather. Most gals get timid in a stressfull situation but she seems to get more confident. I hope to accomplish adventures half a great as these.
I'm not sure I would ever be temped to drive on dunes at night. Its too dangerous as the lee slopes would be impossible to see. In Australia they can be vertical, and driving over one can wreck a vehicle, but falling sideways off one, and it could easily kill the occupants.
SummitX.net just finished watching your canning stock route series. You love driving at night. I Look forward to your trips by the way. I've got an old 80 series. Slowly getting her set up, budget permitting, hope to do a few trips myself when I get I can.
At last someone got stuck! Beautiful landscapes, I wish in the future you could visit Venezuela, at present it is to dangerous to visit, but you would love our overland culture and explore beaches, deserts, sabana, jungle and mountains all in one place..
Great video series! I travelled many of these same roads 40 years ago and thoroughly enjoy your whole presentation...what a great adventure! ...and what a great job sharing it with others! Would love to know your complete itinerary...and get the reference to that Mark Twain quote too! Thanks!
Some advice I'd like add to Clays from my 10 years riding/driving the Glamis dunes in CA... -Never go fast over an edge that you cant see the other side. It could just drop off so go slow and take it at an angle then straighten out. -During steep incline and declines DO NOT try to turn, that's how you roll. -If you have dropped your tire pressure down and have no bead locks, DO NOT take hard turns. You will contaminate the bead with sand causing an air leak or blow the bead all together.
Yeah, I'll do that next time I'm in the area lol!! Every time I'm in Peru I just seem to miss the Nasca lines haha!! Excellent vid as usual....way to go to make me realise what I am missing lol!! Good job Heather...only way to learn....do it!! And apparently good help for altitude sickness is Viagra!!
Peru is awesome, 60% of the group I went with got sick too. I got lucky. Though I will say as an avid surfer, I wouldn't make a habit of swimming with seals at their breeding ground, not the smartest of things, but still looked like fun :) Love your guys' channel, helped inspire some ideas on my build.
Love your videos guys .. thank you for showing us the beauties of south America.. great story telling I felt like I was traveling right along with you guys .. keep up the good work.
Wow! Amazing trip and even more amazing video quality!! Our TV broadcast shows that are like 10% of yours.. You guys rock! Greetings from Czech Republic. I hope to meet you once you go to Europe :)
the TITICACA it is not the largest lake in south america, the largest it's in Venezuela, Lago de Maracaibo, also de place were you can see the the biggest appearance of lightning. good video.
Amazing cinematography and amazing adventure. What beautiful places. Stunning. Also, amazing audio work. I do video production and I know how hard it is to get good audio when outside with the wind, equipment, planes, etc.
I appreciate good watches, especially those using mechanical movements. Heather and Jeff wear pretty big quartz watches... boring. Some on the team don't even wear a watch! But what was Clay wearing in this episode? It's a Marathon Search & Rescue Jumbo Diver's automatic (mechanical) watch, which is Swiss and retails for over $1,500. From their website they describe it as: "purpose built watch that will not let you down on any adventure you may take it". Seems appropriate. Well played Clay!
Was it the JSAR or the TSAR? I ask as I'm trying to decide between the two and the JSAR is huge. Looks right on Clay's wrist though, but which watch is it? Big diff in size between the two.
The Marathon watch that Clay is wearing is neither the JSAR or TSAR. It's the 46mm JDD, which is the same size as the JSAR. You can tell it's a JDD because it has the H3 and radioactive symbols on the face for the tritium tubes that model has.
Great job always look forward to the next series and adventure, you guys inspired a movement of people wanting to enjoy similar adventures and I applaud the EO TEAM for all your hard work and efforts. I sense the Siskel & Ebert critics below are a bit jealous sure some of the things that are commented on in the series are common sense practices. Lets face it though whats common sense to some is not always common to others. Adventure ON :)
That last shot with the moon and after sunset light... beautiful. Congrats guys. What type of stabilization device do you use ? I saw a kind of stabilized arm holding an Osmo or something similar. That's always difficult to absorb the up and down movements of person walking or a car. Thanks. Keep on the good work ;)
Ok this is driving me nuts... what kind of car is Luis driving at 6:50? It looks like a mini 4runner with the flat roof and wheel arches and half roof rack, but not quite. Looks like a wagon, but not really a subaru either as far as I can tell? Hopefully somebody knows if it's a local Peru make/model or what it is.
Thanks guys, great episode. Very professional in all respects, keep doing what your doing and ignore the haters they are sad individuals who are jealous and ignorant.
Thanks for tuning in everyone!! This section of the trip was a ton of fun!
ExpeditionOverland was only a few hours ago i mentioned on episode 4 when will this episode be coming out, go to say im chuffed to bits hehe

ExpeditionOverland Another stunning job, folks. Thank you!!!
ExpeditionOverland The quality of your videos has gotten really good! I am truly enjoying this season
Great episode. One of my favorites.
Where was the mark twain quote taken from. I mean is there a book or something i can reference? Very intrigued by it.

Man!!! 32:10 Marinate or soak on that for a minute! Good speak Clay!
Yeah Heather!!! You’ve got all of us gals so dang proud of you!!!
This was the best episode of the season so far.
More interesting when things don’t go perfect and when
visiting out of the way places and people..Looking forward to the rest..
Fun episode. Those dunes...!!
Nothing like swimming in sea lions royal restroom!
Heather frickin' rocked in this episode :D
This has been one of the all time better episodes!
Agreed. The last episode was the best ever, but this one beats it. That shot when they were on that really flat road next to the drawings in the sand...seemed like such a moment of clarity.

Am I the only one who thinks Heather is incredibly gorgeous?!? Great video guys keep up the great work!!
She's a good ol fashioned Montanan.
Hello to the XO crew and team. That episode was by far the best one of your journey in my opinion. I loved all the footage and experiences and the regional people. WOW, I LOVED that so much. I hardly ever comment on a video, but these series is by far the best of what I've ever watched on YT. Good job for self produced!
Marc Vencer thanks for the support!
What's nicer than a new episode of XO for breakfast (I am in Germany)!
Btw, Luis seems like such a cool dad!
janknoll93 thanks for watching! Luis is a pretty cool dad! Great family!
Man your show and episodes are just to dang good that I don't want the episodes to end!
Those floating islands were pretty wild. Never heard of them, so thanks for taking us along!
I just finished EP5 Awesome so far. I have enjoyed your videos starting with the first ones in Moab then AkYk.
I had the pleasure of meeting you, Shellie, Heather, Jeff at Expo West in May.

Man, that last camping spot on Lake Titicaca looks AMAZING..!! My goodness.. I mean it all looks amazing, but that spot..
Super job everyone. And it does take a unified team and team leader no matter what comments come back. Gives me something to look forward too while watching the snow pile up. Inspirational as I'm planning the expeditions for 2018. Kudo's for Heather.

I'm not sure I would ever be temped to drive on dunes at night. Its too dangerous as the lee slopes would be impossible to see. In Australia they can be vertical, and driving over one can wreck a vehicle, but falling sideways off one, and it could easily kill the occupants.
Highly recommend it :)

its a Lexus LX570, basically a Land Cruiser with Lexus styling, much bigger than a 4runner. A lot of those here is Seattle, Washington.
Thanks guys, great episode. Very professional in all respects, keep doing what your doing and ignore the haters they are sad individuals who are jealous and ignorant.
Good season.
Amazing adventure, thanks for sharing.
Do you guys ever do any car shows in Bozeman would be sweet to meet you guys and check out those rigs
