I use bubble mailers to ship DVDs. I buy them from Jiaropack You can get 10% using code GRAFF10
Jiaropack.com/GRAFF10
'The Criterion Collection' is like the crème de la crème of the boutique labels; it's probably the highest regarded label among cinephiles and movie-makers.
Thanks for the information!
@@josh_graff Yeah I'd just add you are open to offbeat or odd great movies, any Criterion release is worth watching even if you are not familiar with the title (English or foreign!). In general, the company has sharp taste & most of their selections usually have worthy content-even if it doesn't look like it. So if you like good surprises.....
I am also a 10 cent a piecer!! I also agree DVDs stink for the most part especially if you have no other outlet like we do!! Great video as always!!
Thanks! I listed 4 lots of the bulk dvds yesterday and sold 1 already.
Yes you have to keep those LOTR DVDs!!
Haha I ended up selling them, but I have bought them several times since this video. They seem to come and go every few months.
Just found your channel. I’m in the UK and most DVD’s here are pretty worthless too these days but every so often you find a winner. Good video, will check out the rest at some point too. 😊👍🏻
Yea the majority are worthless. I actually scanned 8 today and found a $25 and $35 out of the 8 I scanned. I got really lucky today.
Make sure there is a dvd disk in case when you buy bulk. I have bought several bulks locally and some didn’t even have dvd inside. I take the movie label out and save the case in case I come across a broken case.
Yea that definitely happens from time to time. I always spot check them to make sure the majority are there. This is a big part of why I pay only 10 cents per dvd for bulk.
I really like selling DVDs! Thank you for the advice on bulk DVDs! I am lookin forward to see how you get ungated in DVDs for amazon.
I got ungated a couple of weeks ago. If you search my channel you should be able to find that video.
@@josh_graff thank you I will check it out!
I don't understand how or why people are selling DVD's for $3 or $4 free shipping on ebay. How are they making any money??
Usually they aren’t. Sometimes they are making a few cents. Some of them are mailing them with stamps instead of using first class package.
Once your selling enough other items , sometimes its alright to break even or lose a little to keep traffic up
Is called cleaning money of ilegal activities
you don't.. lowers taxable income once you lose money
@@SkyangelPR😂🤣facts I was thinking same
Mind doing a vid on scanning and your process a detailed how to? If you already dont have. I know nothing about scanning.
Yea 100% I plan on doing one soon.
The DVD or Blu-ray case is worth more than the movie itself in situations. I'll have a movie worth $10-15 with broke case. Its cheaper to buy a used cheap movie for just the case than trying to purchase a new replacement case. Little PSA 😎
Yea I usually keep a handful of good cases on hand to trade out when I need them.
Welcome to the channels that I follow. You have been subscribed.
Thanks!
I’m also thinking of starting to send out books to Amazon for the first time.. I’ve done merchant fulfilled but never FBA. And would love to get ungated in DVDs and music since that’s mostly what I seem to find. Just subscribed. Good video 👍
Thanks Dave! Next week I’m ordering some CDs to try to get ungated. I’ll make a video on it soon.
Hi and thanks for your videos! I find this one very useful for my lots I plan to soon work on listing. How do you go about packing them in the box? Bubblewrap or any protection? Do you tape over the handles on the lowes small box as well? Thanks in advance! Can't believe I haven't already, but I just subbed, you're so close to 1k!
I don’t bother taping over the handles. I do put a layer of small bubble wrap in the boxes before I put the DVDs in.
10 cents a dvd is wild beat usually at stores is $1 maybe a 4 for $1
Yea you usually can’t fine 10 cent dvds at stores. You need to bring buying either an individuals collection or a gaylord of bulk DVDs.
What do you mean about 'putting them in the booth'? Maybe I missed something.... Also agree that you can just make up lots based on subject matter and sell several at once which minimizes the cost of shipping per unit. I often sell lots of 6-10 DVDs for $20 or so, and charge about $5.99 for shipping. Agree that it's not worth selling them individually for less than about $6 plus shipping. Criterion Collection is a company that produces quality copies of significant movies, and if the DVD is in good condition they will sell for a decent price, I have sold some for $20-$30 before.
I have a vendors booth where I put a lot of lower value stuff. I just price it and drop it off. Each month I pick up a check for whatever sold.
@@josh_graffwhat’s a vendors booth
Wow thanks for the infor about selling dvds
Great video!
Thanks!
nice video! what did you mean when you said “for the booth” you got some kind of flea market you go to or something? interesting video though.. I’ve never messed with dvds because so few of them are worth anything
I have a vendor booth where I price the items and drop them off and collect a check each month. I do have to pay rent for the space. I do have a video on my channel talking about it.
😂 Gloria Copeland!!! That's interesting
Her and Kenneth have a following. Their earlier stuff is even harder to find and come go for a bit more.
List in lots
I sell tons of lots. Usually I pour 85 of them in a small lowes and sell then for $25 plus shipping.
How RUclips did kill the movies hunting! With everyone dreaming they will make million selling DVDs ! And running a RUclips channel for less than one year lol now this is extremely rare to find good stuff !
I don't understand why people are talking about shipping when the buyer pays shipping?
Because it’s part of the overall cost.
@@josh_graff is it though? On my eBay I never pay shipping.
What are you using to scan the DVDs? Do you have to be an Amazon seller to use it? I can get one from a friend.
This was filmed several weeks before I got approved to sell dvds on Amazon. I’m just using the eBay app here. Since switching to selling most DVDs on Amazon I’m now using the Scoutly app, which is a paid service.
Do you test your dvds or what do you do with dvds that have scratches?
I visually inspect them. If they are scratched I run them through my elm autosmart.
@@josh_graff well I just saw how much that is so never mind lol
@@JasonT850 the eco pro 2 is a bit more affordable and does a really good job as well.
I use my eyeballs to scan and remove the obvious garbage. So much quicker
I do that more some days than others. Depending on if my mind is on the task at hand or not. I can be thinking about something else and scanning or focusing on DVDs and skipping lots of DVDs. Just depending on how I feel.
Is it ever worth it for you to buy from a wholesaler? DVDs or blu ray. Or do you aim more for bulk DVDs from a garage sale / foreclosure type situation?
I don’t have a wholesale source for DVDs. Typically I’m getting bulk from garage sales , estate sales, private purchases, or thrift store donations.
When your scanning are you also checking what’s sold?
No I’m sorting current listings from lowest to highest.
How do I get started ?
i ;picked up 640 dvds today for £45.00
That’s a good price to pay in my opinion.
It's illegal to use media mail for dvds
I suggest you double check your belief by looking on the usps website. A quick google search of “usps media mail DVDs” will get you to the correct page of the official usps website.
What do you mean by scan? Is that an app that prices 'em, or just ebay for comparables?
I use Scoutly to sort them. I have a link to the app in the description of each video. I plan on putting out a video about Scoutly in the next few weeks.
Do you ever use stamps? Is it cheaper?
I don’t because you can’t get tracking with stamps.
By any chance do you still have that copy of How to Steal a Million?
Sorry I do not. I still have about 10% of these DVDs but the rest have all sold.
@@josh_graff - Nice. Thanks so much for getting back to me.
I want to buy dvds only in my country there’s no stores for them; how can i get them😢
Sorry I don’t know how to get DVDs in your country.
@@josh_graff thanks josh.
Whats your advice on selling blu rayson ebay?
Pretty much the same as DVDs. The lots sell for a bit more. You can usually get over $1 each for lots of blu rays. Because of this I will usually pay a bit over 50 cents a piece for bulk blu rays.
Wish someone would help me
I’m so stressed can’t even focus …
I am trying to sell so much and have tons of DVDs
If you are stressed I would just fill up small boxes from Lowe’s with DVDs and sell them for $25 plus shipping each. The majority of DVDs aren’t worth much.
@@josh_graffappreciate it thank you
I think last one I sent out cost me 3,98 media mail
Yea media mail is currently 3.92 but going up very soon.
What's the booth ?
I have a vendors booth where I price items and drop them off then pick up a check once a month.
is it ok to buy replacement dvd case for movies to sell on ebay
Absolutely
how do you get soo many dvd's?
These were someone’s personal collection.
Are you using the ebay seller app to scan dvd's ?
Yes I am
What are you using to scan the dvds?
Eyoyo barcode scanner. It’s in the description of the video.
Can i still post a bulk listing if I do not have a ebay store?
Yea absolutely
I sell my bulk DVDs locally on FB marketplace. I get $20-25 for 60. No reason to ebay them.
Yea I have tried that, but they just don’t sell very well in my area. I haven’t tried in about a year. I should probably try again.
Usual shit you can't give away 🇬🇧 merry crimbo
I sold every one of these and made some good money.
Every person selling dvds or any item at the cost of shipping basically needs to be drafted for war. not only do they not make money for themselves but they also ruin it for everyone else. This foolish habit also impacts many other hobbies unfortunately.
Yeah most of what is lowering prices is large corporations that are just making a penny here and a penny there.
Selling DVDs on eBay has been absolutely horrible for me
It’s not for everyone. I wouldn’t sell most common low dollar DVDs individually, but there are plenty of uncommon DVDs worth good money.
is it legal to sell dvd movies on ebay please give me ara answer
Yes
Lol, you didn't even look at condition. All that work for about twenty DVDs. Also, weird how you said you bought those for ten cents each but then later said these are on consignment form your uncle. Another channel from someone trying to become a RUclips reseller.
10 cents each is my normal buy cost. These were on consignment from my uncle. I do this full time and 100% support my family this way and have for years.
Not Worth anything? That's where you are Wrong, my friend! Things are only worth what you can get for them!
What I mean is not worth enough $ to sell. They do still have a little value.
