Used CD's is a ultra low value-low margin, ultra high workload. Not quite worth it if you ask me, that goes for DVDs as well. Clothing and books provide a better margin, less handling.
I agree with DVDs, but honestly in my area a larger % of CDs are profitable than either books or clothing.
Cute kid ! God bless !
Thanks! God bless!
What rank is the highest that you will list CDs on amazon
Sales rank in CDs is a lot different than books because the category is a lot smaller. Because of this the sales ranks move around a lot more than the book category. I will sell a CD with up to 250,000 rank if it has sold at least 6 days in the last 180 days and if it has at least $6 profit.
Hey bud…can you explain briefly how you knew which cd’s you’d put into the eBay bins vs those in the Amazon bins? I can’t imagine you did a quickly search for every one before sorting, so was it just based on past experience?
I use an app called Scoutly. It checks the price that each CD is listed on Amazon and how many times it has sold in the last 180 days. CDs that sell slower go to eBay. CDs that sell faster go to Amazon. I have a link in my description to Scoutly.
@@josh_graff you didn’t say in the video but…did you get them cleared out before your wife got back?
Haha yea I managed to get them all out of the house.
@@josh_graffWhy not FBM the slower movers?
@@matthewmalure8730 I could do FBM, but I’m already doing eBay and I just can’t do it all. I don’t know anybody doing both FBM and eBay successfully at my scale and I honestly think you need to pick one or another.
lol my daughter had no clue what a dvd or cd was either
Cool. You don't see CD videos on here much. I currently primarily focus on reselling CDs though part time due to disability. Interesting we pay the same for CDs both in lower voume and in large bulk (25 cents usually /14 cents on a 4,000 CD buy). Your method of processing was useful. Some day will sell on Amazon and can see the use of Scoutly then. THANKS for the Alexa tip!!!
Yea this has been my first year on Amazon and there is definitely a bit of a learning curve. I’m planning on investing more time into Amazon in 2024, but eBay will still be my primary focus.
Whoa. I wasn't prepared for what 8K Cds looked like either. Glad things are off to a good start for you.
It’s been a great start!
If I am going to pay $1,200 I would at least spot check several hundred. Maybe that would take an hour, but wouldnt they be willing to wait for that kind of pay out?
If I felt fishy I would spot check more, but I felt good about them and the lot.
You said there was a whole tote filled with alternative rock. Man I would have loved to see those. Hope everything’s going good buddy thanks for making this channel
Yea this was an absolutely huge haul. I wish I had more time to go over it on video at the time.
Desperate to know what the album with the cool art at 24:25 was.
Personally id check them as your about to photo then into scratched pile of to scratched makes most sence as you can open it up check its good to photo and photo
Yea that’s what I have ended up doing. It seems to work best. I don’t currently have a disc cleaner so I’m saving up a lot of scratched discs until it makes sense to purchase one.
Hey I bought a radio station! I have thousands of promo cds for sale sealed and unsealed.
That’s awesome!
My grandson is named Jericho... not a name you hear very often
No it’s not common at all! We have Esther Jericho and Josiah.
Man i wish i could process my stuff as fast as you did in this video. It takes me weeks to sort thru things like this. I bought several thousand comics a year ago and i still haven't got thru those yet. I'm just not sure what in the hell I'm doing wrong. U did this in 1 day lol
Speed comes with time. The more you sort comics the quicker it will become.
@@josh_graff Dude I've been at this for years. I guess I'm just slow af.. I didn't realize how slow until I watched this video lol
Curious what you pay for LPs normally when sourcing if you don't mind sharing the info.
I don’t have a bulk rate for LPs. It depends so much on the collection and the condition. It’s very easy to pick up a 200 record collection and they are all basically worthless. I have to have my eyes and hands on an LP collection to make an offer on it.
@@josh_graff Yes. Normally if I get LPs they are thrown in free as part of a CD bulk buy and usually near worthless or close to it. I have 500-600 in my personal collection that I acquired new at the store up until 1989 to now sell on eBay. Mostly once played and taped to cassette back then. Funny thing is my ex wife that I divorced didn't want and left her LPs so I sold them years later on ebay for thousands (paid a fraction of the cost of the two year divorce LOL).
I might be interested in some bluegrass if the price is right! :)
I’ll set aside a pile of them for you and bring them next time I see you. I’m sure we can figure something out.
Best thing to do with CDs that are not worth anything is to separate them by genre and list a amount. Throw away the covers and shrinkwrap a small pile of them. Cheaper to mail out on cheaper stuff
idk man. Third arm would be revolutionary!
I could get so much more done with a third arm! Just not sure where I would find t-shirts…
Love the cute boys at the splash pad at the end.
They love it there!
Whew! That’s a lot to go through. Interesting to see how you do it.
It’s been good. I have already sold over $300 in CDs just this morning!
@@josh_graff WOW! That’s great
