I like the new intro bit some I do not like like character presentation wise in the og good direction was it started bright but slowsly turn dark which the new one the character presentation is so random you see it turns daylight to dark randomly night.

New one sounds a lot different on a speaker system. At first I thought it was missing some "crunch" I guess you could call it when I watched the intro on my phone, but just watched the episodes on my TV. Significantly better than this and honestly better than the original as well.
They could of added like "in HD" or something!

Putting Jean Grey after Cyclops throws me off because of the background change.
In the 90s version, there's a transition. It starts with daylight then stormy then starry night and then sky/space.

The childhood magic I felt watching this intro play with X-Men 97 was off the charts! 🥹 plus, the two episode premiere was absolutely incredible! So pair a beautifully nostalgic intro with incredible episodes to kick off the season, and you have me locked in. 🙌 I'm very excited for these next batch of episodes to drop! 🎆

@@Asher_Tye To be fair, Magneto does want what he believes is best for mutants. It's just that what he believes to be best goes against what Xavier believes is best. He's more a villain in the sense of the extreme means he's willing to undergo to achieve his ends, rather than necessarily being outright evil. So it makes sense that he would be sincere about something like that.
I waited over 20 years to see Jubilee spin at the outro.

I was seven in 1992 when this show came out and it will forever be my favorite animated cartoon. In my game room, It’s filled with marvel and X-Men stuff everywhere. I even have the old 1990s X-Men arcade game from Arcade 1 up in it. I’m definitely one of the biggest fans in the entire world no doubt and I can’t wait to watch this today.
I too was 7 in '92 and read the comics with my brother. Rouge had been my favorite super hero ever since. The magic I can't describe, but I got my 8yo watching with me🙂↕️

They cannot touch the grittiness of the original art style.
The grittiness seem like legit detail, doggone 30 years older but looks better, I dunt get it
I feel like the process of animating has cheapened out. And in doing so, a lot has been lost in the quality department. Sure, they're HD. But that doesn't inherently mean they look better, like some animation studios would like you to believe.

The only problem I have with X-Men '97 is the animation Style! It honestly looks like it was done using Flash on a computer from 1997. Other than that, I love seeing the old X-Men I grew up watching with my brother

The new intro theme (in this video) is amazing, but it is NOT the one that plays in the actual Xmen 97 intro.
The version currently being used on Disney+ kinda falls flat at the second part of the tune, at 0:29 / 0:52 (after the strings, right before the bell) - it’s as though they left out the guitar. it’s flat, soft, and a disappointing weak finish! Anyone who loves this theme would notice it immediately.

What a nostalgic video and I love it
Hearing the intro in general brings me back to my childhood! every time i am in a mood or something, someone checks to c when X-Men come on, puts the TV at full volume, then i get excited and run to the TV as soon as i hear the theme. Yeah, i was bullied a lot and had no friends, but X-Men made me feel connected with a group of people who knows what’s it like.
This is legit my childhood. I got chills.
I hope we get a 90’s Spider-Man or at least Peter cameo

Is it just me, or does the new show intro seem a little "choppy"? It looks like it's missing frames.
In parts yes, others not, like it was made in segments and put together by different people.

X-Men 97 achieved what anime strives to do when it comes to mixing 2D and 3D.
The new show is rendered in 3D, with filters to make it appear 2D. MyTimeToShineHello stated this, last year. So, the entire thing is digitally rendered and filmed with in-engine cameras, before the filtering.

So far X-men 97 is the poster child of how to do a reboot or continuation of old material right! Some issues here and there but over all so far the new stuff feels just right.
Unfortunately the showrunner was fired after the completion of season 2 so I don't know how things will go from there.
The original looks amazing for a 20 plus year time gap!!! Give that crew some props!!

No, we're not, the art is inferior. Just because the intro is similar, it doesn't remove how much lazier it is from the original, at all.
Old one looks better except for the scene with rouge and the sentinel. New one lacks depth with colors, detail, and dark shading.
New one look like something a fan did in their spare time, they had 30 years and it looks rushed

I’m not gonna lie, as much as I hate Disney, I’m actually enjoying this series, brings back a lot of childhood memories for me watching it as a kid Saturday mornings on Fox. They actually did a good job on this.

@@franklin8618No guy. The original composer talked about how the piece is nothing without the bell. And that was back in the 90’s - to remove it, just feels flat and wrong.
They couldn't get the running animation right on the sequel but the original did it with no problem... Everyone is running towards each other fine until they pan over to Professor Xavier and Magneto and then back to the two groups. Cyclops looks like he's running at an angle and then takes a 45-degree turn toward Avalanche after the camera stops moving. 0:55
lol I thought the EXACT same thing. It’s like he’s two stepping or doing a musical number across a stage haha. Don’t know why they didn’t have him running head on. I’d think it be harder to animated him running like that rather than running strait

The original animation was much more detailed. The original is much better, they should have kept the same style. 97 is closer to the last two seasons of X-Men TAS.
