James Marsden is a great Actor and a great choice to play Cyclops. It’s really unfortunate that the movies never gave him much to do.
The Last Stand kills him off within the first 10 freakin minutes!
He's Cyclops is not matching visually with Hugh's Wolverine in screen... Hugh is too big that Marsden looks like a little boy beside him, in comics Cyclops supposedly bigger than Wolverine. They shoulve use effects or camera magic on that movie to make Hugh smaller specially in his scene with scott

was already the middle of writing a fan fiction story of cyclops where he uses his optic blasts in resourceful ways such as using the force to go from one point to another, slight high jump, climbing up walls(depending on the wall), ordinary objects being put to unique use by use of optic blasts, etc etc.
I'll admit that Ray Chase did well holding the candle for Norm Spencer rather better than no Cyclops, not that Norm Spencer is replaceable.

Cyclops can’t see without his visors because, his optic blast is unlimited.
In the Thumbnail you should have included a pair of floating red glasses, for the 2006's version.
I love both looks of cyclops (the mask he wears over his head, only just the visor) if they do him again in live action I’d like to see him wear both suits.

Sometimes I mistakenly called James Marsden's Cyclops as Matt Murdock.
James Marsden was the perfect choice to play cyclops nobody can come close to what james portrayed .
Nice to see some James appreciation. All I usually see is, "James wasn't given his due", or "it's a damn shame James wasn't given a chance to shine". He stands out in the first one, and plots have their ups and downs in focus, it makes sense that he was brainwashed and out of the picture for the vast majority of the second one. The third barely has him due to means beyond its control (Superman Returns filming schedule confliction).
All things considered, the circumstances are entirely understandable, and James really did show his talent as Cyclops in the first one. I just feel like the conversation should be distinctly more positive.
Jim Caviezel would've killed it if he were cast.

Those live action versions were the worst... watered down Cyclops. The Actors were too small as Scott that Hugh's Logan is towering over them.
