Melissa, l am 69 years old. Retired nurse. I love your videos. No loud music, your voice is clear, your explanations, and your plants of course, love the names printed out on the screen, you dont jump from one plant to another too fast. LOVE your videos. Sounds like you are ditching lecca? I have most my plants in Pon or in the process of transfering to Pon. I make my own but i just recently bought some Pon on Etsy and threw in with mine. Keep up the good work and give your kitty cats a kiss on the nose. (hubby too)

Another enjoyable video. I watched it after returning from a trip to the Smithsonian. Oops, no I misspoke, actually it was just an imagined trip picturing my plants looking as wonderful as yours. Lol, truth is that most of my plants look pretty darn nice as well thanks in no small part to plantology knowledge I’ve gained from your videos. However, thinking of the Smithsonian I wonder how you can manage your plethora of plants in Plantmore Estate (I like that alliteration) without the help of a curator. Amazing that you can do that. In all seriousness your plants are incredible and so are you. Thanks for what you do.

I really enjoyed this video. 😍 Alocasias are my favs and second are anthuriums. You made me nervous because I just got an azlanii last week and you, as a professional plant grower (gardener?), said it's pretty finicky. 😨 The dragon's breath looks evil and the cuprea looks like a beetle's shell. 😂 I have a scalprum, which also looks a little evil, but her "devil's horns" (sinus) isn't as pronounced as the dragon's breath. One day I will get a cuprea. I haven't had any luck transferring my alocasias into pon. My dragon scale melted away, and my reversa lost all of her leaves and hasn't spoken to me since. 😟 But her corms are still healthy, so there's a chance she'll speak to me again. I just need to figure out what she needs. Plant drama. 🙄

It depends on the alocasia. Some are more thirsty so I tend to leave more water in the res. Some can show more edema than others so I try to be mindful of that but I usually go around and add water to them on the same day so I don't forget anyone :)

So now I have more alocasias to buy lol! Do you feel like growing in pon has helped with fungal issues? Thanks so much! I love your houseplants so beautiful! 😊

thank you!! For the most part yes! I think most of my fungal issues in the past was related to the rain water I used to use. I try to clean the reservoirs out when I flush as well.

The Polly was my first foray into alocasia. It died. So I didn’t have any for a while but someone gifted me a pink dragon. I kept it healthy for about. 9 months. It never got out of the two leaf club. It died or went into dormancy so I kept watering once in a while. I finally unpotted it and the riots were dead. I high’s a corn that I put in stratum but it rotted. So I’m off Alocasias for a while. Even though I find them beautiful, I’ll wait for a while to get one. That might be my foray into pon.
