Good morning Mike and family. Congrats on the deer hunting, sounded amazing. Glad things didn't go south with the trooper and Hunter was able to get his chicken sandwich.
Good morning, Mike and family. Looks like you had a mixed bag for first day of hunting season. I'm so glad the traffic stop turned out the way it did as far as Hunter goes, you are right depending on LE it could have been much worse. Y'all stay safe.
Mike, I'm glad to hear your happy opening day of deer season. I'm not hunting this year. We have such a mess on our farm here in western North Carolina, but I needed to hear your story it gives us hope of a brighter day in the future. Congratulations to you and Levi!
Here, I’ll try to give you a laugh. I grew up in PA. I love watching the tracking videos, especially the ones from Maine and Vermont. They love the Remington pump action rifles up there for some reason. I just finished watching a young man from Vermont track a deer for miles up and down a mountain side. Then he shoots it, then tracks it another quarter mile. Guts it out, drags it four miles to the roadside where he leaves the deer so he can walk to his truck which is parked about another four miles away. Awesome video. Then we come to Mr. Pa hunter. I’m guessing a heated deer stand the size of most peoples homes. Then, after a one shot drop, drives his tractor through the woods to retrieve the deer. Then drives straight to a deer processor. Then, finishes a hard day of hunting with a chicken sandwich through a drive through. Awesome 😎 Mr. Morgan, you should go to twenty three and me, because I believe you may be a direct descendant of Daniel Boone himself. Perfect day, perfect hunt, I would say, minus the visit from “the man”. On the registration, the judge should dismiss the fine in lieu of proof of registration. That’s my Christmas prayer for you, anyways.
Congratulations to you and Levi on some nice bucks. Nice of you guys to leave the big buck for one of the girls. Sorry you had to wait for your chicken sandwich hunter hope it was good 👍
You guys really do well with Hunter. He probably knows deep down what a blessing his family is to him. I've always been impressed over the 30 plus years we have known the Morgans. One day Hunter will verbally thank you and Melissa and the rest of his family for all you have done for him. Your neighbor over the ConnoQ and through the woods.
I know I’ve said this before, but I stumbled upon your RUclips channel one day & you were brush hogging a field for someone with your Kabota tractor. It was the smaller one you had 7 or 8 years ago. I thought I’ll check this out. I couldn’t have imagined that years later how much in common we have. Love this family friendly channel. We have deer all over the place on our land. Just haven’t had the right ones cross us yet. Congrats to the both of y’all for two nice bucks. Hope that y’all had a great thanksgiving Mr. Mike! Look forward to the next video. As always, keep doing what you do!!
I'm from Scranton, Pa. I agree with you about the plate stickers, I've done the same thing myself. I was an inspection mechanic, and I also remember when the inspection sticker had to match the registration. So, all you had to do was look at the windshield sticker and you'd know your registration was near due. The state should have never changed it. Nice bucks, congrats to you and Levi!!!
Congratulations to both you and Levi on the bucks. I'm glad you and Hunter survived the cop ordeal. Here in Florida, we still have the little stickers that show the month of expiration, our registrations are based on your birthday, which means you get a present or two from family, and one from the State of Florida... HaHa
Wow, this right here is a manly man! Hunts,Involves his family in the opportunities, has super patience passion and unending love for his children! Can cope with greedy government practices in stride!! God bless you brother, boy, venison bologna sandwich sounds so good!
Agree about the sticker on your license plate. I live in New Mexico and we still have the sticker and it reminds you every time you back your truck up to a trailer which is frequently for me. I also have a son with autism, he’s high functioning though but still has an occasional meltdown so I feel your pain my friend. Nice deer, congratulations. Thanks for the video.
In Michigan we renew our tags for our plates before our birthdays. That's how we remember to renew our plates. My one superduty is $150 and the other is $295 so it can get expensive here. There's plenty of deer here!
Congratulations to you Mike and to Levi on those nice bucks. I’m glad everything worked that day, but that trooper sure could have had some wisdom and compassion. Hoping it will all work out well for you. Take care and have a good one. 👍❤️🙏
Just think how arbitrary registration is, how oppressive being taxed for property is. Sure we need some public funds for infrastructure but a huuuge part of all tax/fine revenue is consumed by the machine that collects it. That storm trooper was just part of the machine, he couldn’t care less what you’re dealing with. Could you imagine if hunter had jumped out…all LE should be through sheriff offices, even cities. We just need to make sheriff budget that of city. State level should sit idle til their needed/called upon. We are legislating ouselves into slavery.
Interesting ..... from a retired LEO I have this observation. You gripe about the "storm trooper," who is a POLICE OFFICER, doing his job. Based on Mike's description of the traffic stop, which I believe to be accurate, the officer could have been a little more understanding and made the incident less uncomfortable by verbally expressing his empathy for Hunter and Mike in this situation. After airing your gripe you then suggest "all LE should be through sheriff offices." Here's a heads up for you ..... a sheriff and/or deputy sheriff (which I was) is a POLICE OFFICER. We are doing no such thing as "legislating ourselves into slavery" as you suggest. We live, or should live by the rule of law. We all know not everyone agrees with the rule of law but that's the foundation upon which our country was built and has survived and thrived into the most successful society on earth. Without some type of enforcement mechanism the rule of law means nothing.
Glad Hunter is ok. Congrats on the 2 bucks Mike. If you were in Connecticut, they would have towed your truck to impound until the reg was renewed. You would pay the ticket, towing, and storage. Cha-ching!
I haven't been hunting for many years now. But I liked something about your videos and your compassion and love for your son!!! I am glad It all worked out and he got his sandwich! You earned a new subscriber!

Congratulations on both of your successful first day of hunting season! I don't hunt anymore, but just love being outside in the woods and hearing these success stories. Thank you for sharing your experience with an autistic adult. Most of us don't understand the issues surrounding autistic people, and I'm sure the state trooper didn't either. This is one of the issues the first responders need to be made aware of. This goes along with mentally challenged people.
Congratulations to you guys on getting your deer! Sounds like it was quite a day. I'm glad it turned out okay in the end with Hunter getting his chicken parm. I admire you for always staying positive!

Glad you were able to get Hunter his chicken parm sandwich. Trooper sounds like he was in "ticket mode" and that was all he cared about. Focus on the good. God Bless
@@wdtaut5650 Even though they SWEAR there's no quota, though cops get an 'attaboy' when they meet it. It is VERY important to take the money from us, else we get 'uppity'.
@@MonkeyJedi99 Their job reviews, promotions, etc., all depend on their performance. Performance includes the number of 'contacts', the number of citations, the number of misdemeanor arrests, the number of felony arrests, etc. The further along the list, the better the performance. It is in the cop's interest to escalate every 'contact' to a felony arrest. If Hunter could have been provoked into "obstructing", the cop would have been fine with that. Assault and resisting would be even better.
Great job with your deer harvest and ability to keep things under control during the ticketing episode. Deer hunting in Ohio was excellent as well. We had 2 deer down by 7:30 AM and the deer were aplenty to choose from. Thanks to the Lord.
Hey Mike, congratulations on your deer! Hadn’t been a good hunting year this far for me and my son. Four more weeks til our season here in NC is over. Hope to see one this afternoon! Received my 10 packs of fire starter. Christmas gifts. Thanks!
I was at an intersection in my hometown and noticed a police cruiser pull up behind me. The light turned green and I went on my way back to my house. About 15 minutes later the phone rang so I answered it. A local police officer was calling me to tell me my plates had expired so I should renew them asap. I thanked him and told him I would go online and renew them as soon as I hung up the phone, which I did. I call that great community service by the local police! Nice to see you and Levi had a great opening day! Have a Day, from MA.
I am retired now but I was a carpenter for 45 years. My memory was everything to keep me in the game. Now I need to log any and all reminders on my phone to just manage the nonsense crap. I may receive 2 calls a month but without my phones reminder function, my wife would not be the only person gunning for me
First off, congratulations to you and Levi for bagging two nice bucks. I've never heard of deer bologna but I'm sure it must be tasty. As an ex executive for a large bank we were trained on how to handle customers on the spectrum, so it's sad to see the officer did not handle this correctly. Either way I'm glad you got through it safely. Both of my grandsons were on the spectrum so your challenges completely resonate with me. Hopefully the citation gets dropped. Here in Ontario, we no longer need to pay for the annual registration but we are required to go on-line to update the registration. If you forget to do it they can issue a fine. Have a great upcoming week and i hope the rest of the family has a successful deer season :)
I’m confused. What did the trooper do wrong. Coming from someone who is physically challenged. But also Country again thank you in advance for explaining.
@@paulprigge1209 Its very simple, he didn't show any empathy or re-assurance that he understood what this parent was dealing with or how his son might act out. That was my thinking for my comment above.

Congrats Mike and Levi on the 2 bucks. Amazing how there were so many to choose from. Hopefully one of the others can get that 10 point. It took me over 2 weeks of fairly steady hunting before I even saw one. First time in 4 years that I went past day 3 to get one. You said how you'd be working in other years and think "I should be hunting". I was hunting and thinking "I should be working". 🤣
Good afternoon from Upstate South Carolina. Congratulations on the bucks. The hunting area on my property is covered with downed trees from Hurricane Helene. The officer certainly could have handled your situation a little differently. Mike, you can make your own reminder sticker for your license plate or put it on the interior of the windshield near your oil change sticker. Have another productive day.

Mike, here in Illinois, we still have the sticker, but the stopped notification. You can opt for notification, but it is not automatic. When they went to this, I thought the same as you did. One thing I do is put a reminder on my phone. With multiple vehicles and a trailer, it is hard to remember when the sticker is do. Hang in there, glad you guys got your deer's!
Illinois also, I was pulled over for expired registration, it was 11 months late. No reminders and 5 vehicles so just missed one. Didn’t get a ticket but I went the next day and got registration for that year and the following year. I had to pay $200 late fee for the current year. No notification was another way for the state to save but really raise more money.
Congratulations to you and Levi. Two very nice bucks. I like Florida where they send you a renewal notice, which is about a month before your due date. Which is also always on the birthdate of the register. Once again, nice venison for the winter.
I'm in California and they send us a notice several months before it's time to renew our car license. I'm in Northern California above Sacramento not Southern California. Glad you and Levi got your bucks. Thanks for another great video.
Hello Mike. As a retired 40 year LEO from Long Island don’t sweat it. Depending on how long it was expired, theres usually a grace period, especially when theres a holiday at the end of the month. Call the jurisdiction and ask. As for the trooper, they don’t teach discretion in the academy anymore. However, with electronics now there may be none. But thats no excuse. An experienced officer knows how to get around things.
Spending 40 years enforcing the laws of corrupt polticans upon your neighbors and being a parasite upon them for even longer isn't something you should be proud of.
Good buck. I've been passing on the small ones, but the big ones on camera have vanished. LOL. B.T.W. in NY I renew online and now get e-mail reminders way before the reg. is due. 3 notices, actually.
Congratulations to both you and Levi on your bucks" great 1st day hunting and that will be a great story for grand kids. Glad it all worked out for you. Love the chanle and I don't miss 1 episode. Keep it going,
Really happy that you were the one with Hunter when the trooper created the crime scene and gave you the ticket. Hunter was not the only one who did not understand why he didn't just give you a warning being that Hunter was in the truck and that you were so close to home. Congrats to you and Levi for both getting a nice buck first day of season.
Congrats on the deer you and Levi got. Haven't had a chance to go out yet. We had a better experience with a trooper in a gas station last year. I was sitting in the passenger side of my wifes car. I had just asked her when the car needed inspected. She said at the end of the month. And she goes into getgo. A trooper holds the door for my wife and proceeds to his car passing ours. Stops and turns to get my attention. Sir, do you realize your inspection expired last year. But we were lucky he said to make an appointment for inspection today. And drove away. He must have had a good lunch.😊
Mike I’m a retired cop, and I have stopped hundreds of people for expired registration. I never gave a ticket for an expired registration unless it was more than 3 months over. I can also tell you that the agency I worked for never ever had quotas and I’ve never heard of a big push at the end of a month. We did however during certain times of the year target specific offenses such as seatbelt violations, speeders, or DUI’s. And yes normally with any type of vehicle violations once you get it corrected they usually will dismiss the charges. Goal is compliance not punishment.
Mike my wife got her first deer Saturday morning so happy for her. I worked Friday night along 376 in Lawrence county the state troopers pulled over a bunch of cars they made a killing. this weekend.
Sorry Hunter had to go through that. Hopefully he has recovered from the trauma. Deer season has been good for us, I shot an 8 point and a doe with a bow and an 8 point during gun season. The highlight was my 12 year old grandson shot his first deer a nice big 8 pointer. Great season!

Hiya Jack!
Good morning Morgan’s!! Great first day of hunting, congrats on your buck. Have a day!!
Just want to say thanks for including the deer hunting content- congrats on a fine buck. I really enjoyed the episode
Good Sunday morning Mike and Melissa! Congrats to you and Levi on your bucks!
@@Tdale85 Hi Ted!
Awesome 😎
Mr.
That was an amazing day! Thanks for sharing, Mike!
Congratulations to both you and Levi on the bucks. I'm glad you and Hunter survived the cop ordeal. Here in Florida, we still have the little stickers that show the month of expiration, our registrations are based on your birthday, which means you get a present or two from family, and one from the State of Florida... HaHa
Hunter got home safely.
I call that a huge win!
Wow, this right here is a manly man! Hunts,Involves his family in the opportunities, has super patience passion and unending love for his children! Can cope with greedy government practices in stride!! God bless you brother, boy, venison bologna sandwich sounds so good!
Scary for you all, especially Hunter, God bless him! Nice successful hunt!
Congratulations to the Morgan’s on hunting
Congratulations to Mike and Levi. Sounds like Hunter scored a victory, too, with the sandwich.
Congrats on the family hunt and glad it worked out eventually with Hunter 👍🏼
In Michigan we renew our tags for our plates before our birthdays. That's how we remember to renew our plates. My one superduty is $150 and the other is $295 so it can get expensive here. There's plenty of deer here!
Congrats on the nice buck. I like the little tabs to remind ma to get the tabs
Yup
Your comment is filled with wisdom sir!
Just the fact that he had to lay on the horn when you were trying to straighten the truck out proves what an absolute jerk he is😖
Glad Hunter is ok.
Brother I totally understand the challenges. My lil man definitely adds a level to daily life. However, to use your words he has taught me so much. God Bless and congrats on the awesome harvest.
So keep track of your registration. The fine is what it is. Trooper was doing his job
Congrats Mike and Levi on your deer. Last week I harvested an 8-point as well.
From Bloomsburg PA, sounds like another trooper on a power trip
Let's not go there. He was doing his job.
@@Kroer2014 There is more to his job than just writing tickets.
Congratulations to you guys on getting your deer! Sounds like it was quite a day. I'm glad it turned out okay in the end with Hunter getting his chicken parm. I admire you for always staying positive!
MIKE, many can't, won't, don't understand, just want to tell you, ...
Sir, you got Moxie!
Thanks for giving us a perspective of what life is and hope it can and will change others for greater growth themselves.
Awesome!
That’s a great first day! Two nice ones down and deer everywhere!
Glad you were able to get Hunter his chicken parm sandwich. Trooper sounds like he was in "ticket mode" and that was all he cared about. Focus on the good. God Bless
End of the month, had to make his quota.
No matter where you live, State Troopers are ruthless. Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.
There are still a few good ones out there.

Great opening day. I'm glad you showed some of the hunting content on your channel. Thanks again for the great content
I am retired now but I was a carpenter for 45 years. My memory was everything to keep me in the game. Now I need to log any and all reminders on my phone to just manage the nonsense crap.
I may receive 2 calls a month but without my phones reminder function, my wife would not be the only person gunning for me
Congrats on your harvest. Trooper should have said get the Reg done and have a nice day.
@ we never know what people are going through. He’s going through bad wreck before issues or not. We just don’t know. I do know we all have off days when people seem to think we don’t care.
Wow !!!! What an opening day. Way to go !!
@@waynebarnett7467 Hi Wayne!
Good morning David. Hope your thanksgiving was great.
Oh Mike, I do really feel for you in that situation, the trooper really could have been much understanding, take care. I hope Hunter wasn’t too upset.
Tough one to go through dad! In Wisconsin we still have the stickers on our license plates. Who knows that might change. 🦌🦌
What a wild day , happy for your and sons luck with the deer and hope you have just as much luck with the ticket ! Thanks for sharing your extremely exciting experiences !!!!! 🙏👍😊❤

Such a neat telling of your ‘plus / minus’ day. You handled the cop / Hunter part as well as anyone could handle it. A lot of years of experience behind it, I’m sure. Congrats on both 8 point kills. Being in PA with your deer kills reminds me of the segment of The Deer Hunter. New subscriber. Looking forward to your next YT presentation.

Congratulations on the successful deer hunting day! Love to hear the Hunter stories and glad that the officer didn't excellent to make it rough for Hunter (or you). Thanks for the video
Mike I’m glad Hunter made out ok. Great day for deer , I’m hoping to get one today or tomorrow
Thanks. Good luck to you!
Mike that’s a great looking buck. Good job.
A skidding winch would help in that deer retrieval situation. Nice Buck! Congrats!
God Bless you Mike, most people don’t realize what you go thru.
My oldest son, Hunter, lives with Autism.
Congratulations to you and Levi. Two very nice bucks. I like Florida where they send you a renewal notice, which is about a month before your due date. Which is also always on the birthdate of the register. Once again, nice venison for the winter.
Good morning everyone
Start by removing these unconstitutional scanners. Only GOD is supposed to be omniscient, not govt.
Spending 40 years enforcing the laws of corrupt polticans upon your neighbors and being a parasite upon them for even longer isn't something you should be proud of.
Yes sir your right on. Too bad the good leo's are gone for the most part.

Hi Pete!
Here in Minnesota, they have quotas. And the officers don't like them. They feel like they should be working on community relations.
@ I was in Law Enforcement in NC, and I never heard of any city or state agency that had quotas.
When I lived in PA, I seem to remember the DMV sending the renewal docs I the mail.
Great catch by law enforcement. I’ll sleep so much better tonight knowing how safe they make us
Mike my wife got her first deer Saturday morning so happy for her. I worked Friday night along 376 in Lawrence county the state troopers pulled over a bunch of cars they made a killing. this weekend.
YIKES!... Congrats on deer!
Congratulations, Nice buck
