Wow 😲 Thanks Mike on the Tip on the Bosch Laser Measure $36.80 that's a steal on Black Friday. Also 2AA Batteries included that's a great deal I'm gonna purchase one. Sure will help on projects I'm doing by myself trying to hold a post or board and need a measurement. Gonna make projects much easier and save time. Idk what you paid for yours but Black Friday deal cuts it down from $50 to $36.80 Awesome tool Thanks Mike
@Ikkeligeglad Trump's tariffs certainly didn't cost me more money the first 4 years while he was in office. Now the Trump haters are weighing in making nasty comments. Trump is going to be your president for the next 4 years pal ! Thank me for voting for him when you pull up to the gas ⛽ pump and your gas is much cheaper, when your power bill, heating and cooling your home is cheaper, when your taxes are cheaper, when your groceries are cheaper and when more of your money stays in your pocket instead of in the governments deep thieving pockets . Yep you can thank me then. 😁
@Ikkeligeglad and what is Bougth ? I haven't bougth anything, now I "BOUGHT" a Bosch laser measure tool but I haven't Bougth anything. Looks like if your liberal Marxist professor would've spent more time in teaching you to Spell proper English instead of brainwashing you then you'd know how to spell BOUGHT instead of spelling it Bougth. What does Bougth mean anyway And how much your parents waste on your college ? 😂 Bougth give me a break. The next 4 years is looking so bright 😎🌞 and cheaper to live, much cheaper than all I've BOUGHT the last 4 years. 😁
That falling thing is something us old folks have to watch for. I did fine until I was 77 and then I began to realize my ankles and legs were getting noticeably weaker. I have great health, in no pain and take no meds but I can tell you I have to watch for balance since I do live on property that has a good 5 to one slope since I'm at the bottom of a rising mountain. I can imaging with Jay being in his 80's he's having that happen as well. We used to could catch our balance so to speak so many times a day we didn't even know we were doing it, but you become rather aware once it start to happen to you. But yes, best to Jay and always enjoy your vids! Loving the shed build and will be interested to see how it finishes out. ❤❤
Yes, I've been blowing leaves for a month now, and it drives me nuts, too.😂 But owe Mike he didn't let the leaves bother him a bit. The excavator and auger were powerful enough to drill right down through all those leaves 😂 I've got 2 month of leaf blowing to go. Some of these trees here are stubborn as heck and won't fall until January. Pin oak trees are a pain in the butt. They're leaves nestle down into the grass and don't want to come out easily. 🤷♂️🤦🏻♂️
You are just absolutely amazing at operating all of your equipment. I remember in 2020 when I bought my first John Deere tractor (I had never been on one), that your channel was one of the ones I turned to to teach me how and what to do. Today I'm somewhat efficient. Enjoy your videos!
Just putting this out there for anyone that is jealous of his toys and his life. These are the rewards for his hard work and dedication to his family and craft over the years. So please subscribe and apply these things to your life and you too can have the same things. It’s obtainable by those who want it. Amazing channel. Thank you.
I live in western NJ. When I drill holes with my tractor, I hit large rocks and it is a real pain to drill straight down. I often have to pull huge rocks out and it is time consuming. Your soil looks like sand, I would love to drill into that. It looks so much easier than my property. Lucky you!
America's family, outdoors with the Morgan's! Thanks for these daily work detail's you take us on,we love it I get out there too,but always take time for you guys.high brother Hunter we love you too son .God bless you all. Love skinner family members.
Good morning Mike. You are right about the time change and fallen asleep at 8:00 PM. My eyes closed in the middle of a TV show every evening around 7:45 PM or so. Then off to bed in the dark instead of staying up to 9:00 PM. I watch all your videos every day.
Those Bosch laser "tapes" are invaluable! It was one of the best tools I ever purchased for building. There's nothing more infuriating than trying to pull a long measurement with a metal tape and it just bends or twists on you. The laser "tape" makes a 2-person job into a 1-person. Love them. Building is all about having the right tools to be more efficient and get things done faster. That wood/implement shed is going to be great.
Great video Mike. I have worked in large commercial construction in NVa for 30 years. I hate the mud as much as you do. Stone is our friend. Keep up the awesome content.
I’m 33, might as well be 53 after my time in the military. I try to convince my wife everything is easier with good tools and equipment. I dread anything that has to do with a posthole digger haha. I’d love that auger attachment!
I've had mine for years and last used it for an interior trim job i was doing for a friend of my neighbors. Forgot just how accurate it is. Within a 1/16". If you even think you might use it----get one. Mine was a Bosch as well.
I’ve got 2 of those laser measuring devices. One is a Bosch, it’s a 50 footer. The other one is a 500 footer and it’s an off brand. I got them both from Amazon they were really inexpensive. And, they work great.
I like that hydraulic augur much better than the PTO version. With it only turning one direction on the PTO version if you hang a rock or root you're hand digging the augur out. As a retired lineman I've helped plant many power poles and two directions is a must. We are on 63 acres. My pasture is approximately 100 feet from the house.
I have always been amazed at how evenly you can spread stone from a tractor bucket, it really makes no sense !!! Another thing, you getting those posts in so perfect isn't human either ! If that had been me using that land plane next to the installed posts, I would have hit one for sure and to get it back in place would probably have taken 5 more hours the second time than it took the first time.
Mike: when I was studying architecture, we did a study on the Pyramids. The tolerance on one of them was 1/8" over each face. Not bad for old school technology. I used my backhoe to dig my posts this summer. The bugs ate us alive. Ended up having to move three of them to get in line. Lots of big rocks when digging. I have been waiting for this build and now it is getting interesting. Nice that you can cut your own wood to build it. Take care and stay safe. PS: I googled Jays picture. Looked bad.
I've been following you Morgans for years. We all know how popular "Downton Abbey" was on TV. They have enormous crowds flying in to England for tours and buying pricey tickets to see that property. I bet you're getting close to being a US attraction.💰
Mr. Morgan, we have nothing in common, still I get lots of motivation from you and your videos. Yes, you are a RUclipsr, but still a HARD WORKING MAN! thanks and keep on what you do!

You'll probably discover the same thing in time. Happy Thanksgiving & God Bless you.
I am watching all these augers made in America and can not believe people struggle to clean a hole with it. Take a piece of flat, 1 1/4" x 1/4" and weld it at the top end of the flight so that it sticks out at least 3" outwards. This will clear a 3" path around the hole, preventing the loose ground from falling back into the hole. Greetings from South Africa
You make it look so easy .. hard work always pays off. No wonder your falling asleep at 8pm. That will be a nice storage building that will last for years .. enjoy the weekend

Good morning to the Morgan family! Another great start to the day by watching your video with a coffee! I’m off for another day of chainsaw repairs, I’ll be back tonight to catch up on some of your older videos. I see you have a Stihl 036! You should pull that beauty saw out someday and give it a run for us! 😊 Have a great day!
About 15 years ago, I bought a Stanley Hacer Measure handheld just like the one you have by Bosch and yet today that Stanley laser measure is on the money I have found more uses for that since I got it then I thought I would like you I love it. I guess if it ever quits, I’ll go by the Bosch
Hello! 😊 The most difficult thing for me when drilling post holes is keeping the auger plumb in the direction perpendicular to my line of sight. That's where it is good to have a spotter to help guide you. For getting the building square and proper, you just can't beat the old batter board method.
I have looked at laser measure tools, but I’m always skeptical on the quality. But once I saw Mike use it and give it a good rating, I bought it immediately. Can’t wait to try it out for the new patio roof build and bar build in the pole barn.
Thats a great start to your storage building, we have the same problem every year with the time change, going to bed at 9:00 we are up at 4:30. When i retired it took a long time to stop getting up @ 3:30 am after 46 years, lolololo.
Good morning, Morgan family. I would like to thank you for my morning dose of calm. For me today is hog processing day going to be a long one. Then 2 days of cutting pork to the cuts we want. On the bright side it will fill my freezer. and my smoker as well. You're a good man Mike and have a good family...
At our property in North Idaho we have so many larger size rocks it's a real pain digging post holes. Seems like there is always that one or two posts that take longer to set! The turkey's look like the same amount from around our place. Jay Leno is the best! I saw the interview after the fall, man, the left side of his face is so bruised. But, he said the show must go on and after the fall he went and did his gig! What a guy!
Your love of crushed limestone makes me believe that after you auger in your headstone, it will be a pile of 2A limestone with an eternal flame of fire starter. Wishing you many more episodes👍👍👍
Mike! Show us the equipment you bought way back when to do all the bagging for the firestarter. I don't remember if you ever showed us after final installation with it all up and running. Prob something cool for new viewers to see as well.
I think I got it for you, Mike. Replace the poles at one end of this shed with taller poles. Build your building like normal but build a new mini cabin over top of one end of your building. Then the building isn't a backdrop when you are shooting at your new game patch, you can park your atv or whatever inside while you hunt, and you can put your stairs inside and out of the weather. Maybe do something like a set of steps that go up 5 steps, hit a landing and then turn 90 and go up the rest into the cabin above. Then if you want to run power down there for lights in the barn, you can have lights in the cabin as well (maybe try a solar set up for that with panels on the shed roof?).
Good morning Mike Morgan. The time change is getting rougher every year. I suggest a vertical rack of some sort to protect that back window on your Can Am.
"I'm really liken' that auger on the excavator"... 😂😂😂😂 Perfectly said!! As you were reminiscing about building your children's 'Eagle's Nest'... I was doing the same... 26 years ago!! Good Mountaineer Morning to the Morgan's!! Everything is looking good!! Say hey to Mr. Hunter!!
I was cleaning up some hurricane debris (still) the other day, the tractor was running, the chain saw was in use, and a buck and doe were running through the yard. The buck stopped about 20 feet from me, watched me for over a minute, gave me a look like "what are you doing?", then took off after the doe. Guess she was more interesting than me.
I dropped a 24” red oak on the bed of my Ranger last Sunday. Standing timber is dangerous. This one was rotten in the middle, I had it wedged over and it was beginning to fall and about that time it turned 180* and came down the opposite of what I had it set up to do, right on top of my SXS. Now I’m hunting SXS salvage. ooof!
I'm an old timer Mike.....worked hard in the coal mines, wish we would have had a dozen guys like yourself. You're like that commercial with the Pink bunny that keeps going and going and going! :) God Bless you and yours!
Looking great. Not sure I wouldn’t leave two of the front posts out for a bigger opening, but hey it’s your shed. Got cold a snowy here in Minnesota. Started my outdoor boiler this past Monday. Muzzleloader season starts a week from today. Good luck deer hunting.
Mike, great video as always. Have you ever priced out ground hot top & maybe using it to replace the stone. That is quite popular & plentiful up here Maine. Enjoy your snow, probably won’t last long. 🙏🖐🏼Dave from Maine.
When I build cabinets and it comes time to build drawers, I use one of those Bosch laser tools to measure the inside dimensions of each drawer opening. Using side drawer slides, you have a very small margin of error. I'm just not good enough with a metal tape to consistently measure the distance between the slides to an accuracy that makes me happy. I usually do ok at building the drawer openings, but I always seem to make 1 or 2 drawers plus or minus 1/32 to 1/16 different from the other drawers to get a perfect fit.
Mike, I noticed it looks like your auger bit was leaning a little on the first holes. Maybe that was the problem aligning the post. I wasn’t there. 🫢 Love watching you build stuff. Thanks, Jim n Texas
That's gonna be a nice building, I put something up like that and cutting those posts to length was a real challenge. Thanks for showing that Kolpin rack, I like it. Need to have one for my JD gator TX. Thanks
Mornin! Love the new storage shed. Any thoughts on doing 1 post in the center of the front to allow for easier access? That would be a 15' span and double 2x10s would probably handle it fine.
Mike you've talked about getting a roller a few times. Have you ever thought about getting a vibrating roller attachment for the skidloader? They work pretty well.
“I probably have a battery in my truck (for the laser measuring too) somewhere.” Yep, I can certainly relate! You are correct in that things have gotten better/easier over time. Good video, thanks for the content! Take care
Your off to a great start. Good work Mike. I envy you. All I want is a old Ford tractor A lumber mill and a few critters. Hoping for a spring fishing trip to flaming gorge reservoir. Went there last year. Amazing fishing and area. Good luck from Idaho.
Always like the videos Mike, you always have great projects going on and we enjoying watching them. I have found great channels just off your videos, case in point one of my favorites: Concrete with the Hauses, Tom is a great guy. Thanks for all the hard work, i know it is your :job" but it takes a lot or work, camera settings, drones, editing etc, then after all the hard work and labor of love sharing your life... there are the Trolls and they can be vicious. BUT the Majority of the comments i read are good common sense people... have a blessed day, tell the Fam hey from SE Texas Bear ❤💯🙏
Hey Mike. You can unpin the gearbox on your auger and turn it around to make the lines in front. That way your thumb won't drift down into hydraulic lines again. Just a thought.
After digging, by hand, 1 of 6 post holes for a shed. I quickly enlisted my teenage son and one of his friends to dig the remaining 5. Afterwards, I took them to lunch. Best money I ever spent!
Awesome video! Will there be a follow up with the next steps? We're in process of buying 11.5 acres and I need to build / buy some kind of storage solution for our tractor! Would love to see more on this project!
A long long time ago I served my Apprenticeship in historical renovations! We only worked on very old homes and buildings 200 years old and older! Nothing was level , square,or straight! Lol it was crazy! But we called it old charm
You might think about adding a couple more posts to set in front of the back wall and make a platform for attachments that are shorter. That way you can double the space and gain more storage.
Wow I really love that measuring leveling tool. Seeing those deer out there is always exciting. And you’ve got a great start to your building. Cool video. 👍❤️
Great start on your storage shed. Think about increasing your overhang length on the front. If using metal roof. Make the overhang length plus shed depth same as metal length. You’re going to love having that shed. Enjoy and happy Thanksgiving to you and family.
I saw this idea on setting posts they tape around the post just above grade, then spray the bottom of the post with flex seal. This would have to help preserve the post, just a thought. John
I love my Bosch digital tape measure. I think it saves me 1/2 the time when I do siding and trim work or even getting the square footage of a room. Still need my normal tape for most things.

But, he said the show must go on and after the fall he went and did his gig! What a guy!
Your love of crushed limestone makes me believe that after you auger in your headstone, it will be a pile of 2A limestone with an eternal flame of fire starter. Wishing you many more episodes👍👍👍
I built one this summer. Unfortunately all I have is Earthquake Auger & roots. I am envious. Great Job Mike keep them coming.
Always impressed by your rock-spreading skills. Such finesse.
Perfectly said!! As you were reminiscing about building your children's 'Eagle's Nest'... I was doing the same... 26 years ago!!
Good Mountaineer Morning to the Morgan's!! Everything is looking good!!
Say hey to Mr. Hunter!!
I bought one of those laser measurer and loved it. I often work by myself so it's really helpful.
Mike love your videos, not much you can't do keep it up, your the best.
Hey thanks
I was cleaning up some hurricane debris (still) the other day, the tractor was running, the chain saw was in use, and a buck and doe were running through the yard. The buck stopped about 20 feet from me, watched me for over a minute, gave me a look like "what are you doing?", then took off after the doe. Guess she was more interesting than me.
Good morning, Morgan's and friends!! Mike, that auger is sweet !! Thank you for the video! Have a great day everyone
Now I’m hunting SXS salvage. ooof!
Wow. I probably would have kept that on the down low had it been me. Lol
Glad noone was hurt.
Good Morning from Elk Grove CA! It’s been raining.
That auger was a great purchase. Made quick work of those holes. Have a great weekend Mike
Good place to use up your slabs as horizontal siding. Keep up the good work 😊
Mike, I noticed it looks like your auger bit was leaning a little on the first holes. Maybe that was the problem aligning the post. I wasn’t there. 🫢 Love watching you build stuff. Thanks, Jim n Texas
Good morning Mike, Nice job and part 1 complete. Love the rack mounted like that. The grand kids will love the new play house..
I heard Jay went and did his show that night. I would love to meet him some day. I always enjoy his show.
That's gonna be a nice building, I put something up like that and cutting those posts to length was a real challenge. Thanks for showing that Kolpin rack, I like it. Need to have one for my JD gator TX. Thanks
The grandkids will like this plan. They get a play house next summer. They might need a bigger one though.
Love the post hole digger . The laser with the 3 4 5 method was genius . Thanks Mike . SEEYA
Ah the sound of sprinkling limestone in the morning and another project POSTED on RUclips.Looking forward to the results as you INCH along.
Tint the windows 35% ceramic on the defender. Not too dark and you will love it in the summer.
Morning from Flat Top! Have a Great day.
Virginia??? If so I drove semi trough there on 77 when it snowed
Good morning Mitchell!
Mr. First 👍
@@davidmorse8432 thank you. 😂
@@roberthenrymatthis, sorry nope. NW of Soddy Daisy Tn on Walden's Ridge.
Always nice to have the posts in, nice work!
Man you’ll get better with your accuracy the more you do. You are something else. Wow!!!
Nice job Mike! Especially working by yourself and no helper to hold and align posts.
Really enjoy watching you build that shed? Taking notes Mike for my future shed, keep on showing all please. Nice job so far!
“I probably have a battery in my truck (for the laser measuring too) somewhere.” Yep, I can certainly relate! You are correct in that things have gotten better/easier over time. Good video, thanks for the content! Take care
I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to film everything.
Your off to a great start. Good work Mike. I envy you. All I want is a old Ford tractor
A lumber mill and a few critters.
BUT the Majority of the comments i read are good common sense people... have a blessed day, tell the Fam hey from SE Texas Bear
❤💯🙏
The cargo rack looks great. I hope nothing happens to the rear window if you have cargo in it and hit the brakes hard for some reason.
@@rickholter3585 My thoughts too!
Mike: Thank you. I got the Bosch Blaze laser measure you suggested, and it is incredibly accurate and MUCH easier to use than the old windup tapes.
Happy to hear that!
Watching from Jackson Michigan thank you very much are Mr Mike
Thanks for watching!
Good job Mike, you do great work.
Well done !! 😮
Awesome video! Will there be a follow up with the next steps? We're in process of buying 11.5 acres and I need to build / buy some kind of storage solution for our tractor! Would love to see more on this project!
Very cool project, enjoying watching the way you do things. Thanks for the videos.
Love your content boss man. You certainly are living your best life. God bless you sir
Wow I really love that measuring leveling tool. Seeing those deer out there is always exciting. And you’ve got a great start to your building. Cool video. 👍❤️
Good Sunday OWTM community !!! … Here’s to another day filled with opportunities and prosperity… !!!
Good morning
Great start on your storage shed. Think about increasing your overhang length on the front. If using metal roof. Make the overhang length plus shed depth same as metal length. You’re going to love having that shed. Enjoy and happy Thanksgiving to you and family.
I saw this idea on setting posts they tape around the post just above grade, then spray the bottom of the post with flex seal. This would have to help preserve the post, just a thought. John
I love my Bosch digital tape measure. I think it saves me 1/2 the time when I do siding and trim work or even getting the square footage of a room. Still need my normal tape for most things.
Kingwood got 8" of snow here we got 5" but it's melting already.. Steve from WV
hi there nice show . best to all john
