That falling thing is something us old folks have to watch for. I did fine until I was 77 and then I began to realize my ankles and legs were getting noticeably weaker. I have great health, in no pain and take no meds but I can tell you I have to watch for balance since I do live on property that has a good 5 to one slope since I'm at the bottom of a rising mountain. I can imaging with Jay being in his 80's he's having that happen as well. We used to could catch our balance so to speak so many times a day we didn't even know we were doing it, but you become rather aware once it start to happen to you. But yes, best to Jay and always enjoy your vids! Loving the shed build and will be interested to see how it finishes out. ❤❤
I've had mine for years and last used it for an interior trim job i was doing for a friend of my neighbors. Forgot just how accurate it is. Within a 1/16". If you even think you might use it----get one. Mine was a Bosch as well.
Good morning, Morgan family. I would like to thank you for my morning dose of calm. For me today is hog processing day going to be a long one. Then 2 days of cutting pork to the cuts we want. On the bright side it will fill my freezer. and my smoker as well. You're a good man Mike and have a good family...
I’m 33, might as well be 53 after my time in the military. I try to convince my wife everything is easier with good tools and equipment. I dread anything that has to do with a posthole digger haha. I’d love that auger attachment!
I live in western NJ. When I drill holes with my tractor, I hit large rocks and it is a real pain to drill straight down. I often have to pull huge rocks out and it is time consuming. Your soil looks like sand, I would love to drill into that. It looks so much easier than my property. Lucky you!
Hello! 😊 The most difficult thing for me when drilling post holes is keeping the auger plumb in the direction perpendicular to my line of sight. That's where it is good to have a spotter to help guide you. For getting the building square and proper, you just can't beat the old batter board method.

Great video Mike. I have worked in large commercial construction in NVa for 30 years. I hate the mud as much as you do. Stone is our friend. Keep up the awesome content.
Mike: when I was studying architecture, we did a study on the Pyramids. The tolerance on one of them was 1/8" over each face. Not bad for old school technology. I used my backhoe to dig my posts this summer. The bugs ate us alive. Ended up having to move three of them to get in line. Lots of big rocks when digging. I have been waiting for this build and now it is getting interesting. Nice that you can cut your own wood to build it. Take care and stay safe. PS: I googled Jays picture. Looked bad.
In Jay Leno's defense, he's always been a traveling stand-up comedian, going back to his origins as a warm-up/in-between act in burlesque houses in Boston (pre comedy clubs) and nightclubs. And, outside of his car collection and everything that entails (storage, maintenance, maintenance labor, purchasing, etc.), he's always been that down to earth, mostly frugal guy. Even with the millions he's made from NBC and hosting The Tonight Show, The Jay Leno Show, Jay Leno's Garage (CNBC), he still manly makes the money he lives day-to-day on, from his stand-up, personal appearances and corporate functions. It said he didn't cash checks from NBC for years (up to the reader to decide to believe this, just relaying what's been said). Since he and his wife didn't have children, his love of almost everything automotive, his collection have essentially become his children. And he's been basically the same guy (like him or dislike him, believe him or not) he's tried to remain the same guy he was way back when, long before even performing for Carson on The Tonight Show was even the remotest of possibilities. With all this in mind, Jay Leno staying at a Hampton Inn doesn't sound that odd at all.
You are just absolutely amazing at operating all of your equipment. I remember in 2020 when I bought my first John Deere tractor (I had never been on one), that your channel was one of the ones I turned to to teach me how and what to do. Today I'm somewhat efficient. Enjoy your videos!
I have always been amazed at how evenly you can spread stone from a tractor bucket, it really makes no sense !!! Another thing, you getting those posts in so perfect isn't human either ! If that had been me using that land plane next to the installed posts, I would have hit one for sure and to get it back in place would probably have taken 5 more hours the second time than it took the first time.
Good morning Morgan’s. I’m down in your neck of the woods from Maine. Our daughter (Hannah) has a lacrosse tournament in Downington. Looks like we brought the weather with us. Have a day!

I’m off for another day of chainsaw repairs, I’ll be back tonight to catch up on some of your older videos. I see you have a Stihl 036! Good morning Mike. You are right about the time change and fallen asleep at 8:00 PM. My eyes closed in the middle of a TV show every evening around 7:45 PM or so. Then off to bed in the dark instead of staying up to 9:00 PM. I watch all your videos every day.

I like that hydraulic augur much better than the PTO version. With it only turning one direction on the PTO version if you hang a rock or root you're hand digging the augur out. As a retired lineman I've helped plant many power poles and two directions is a must. We are on 63 acres. My pasture is approximately 100 feet from the house.
Mr. Morgan, we have nothing in common, still I get lots of motivation from you and your videos. Yes, you are a RUclipsr, but still a HARD WORKING MAN! thanks and keep on what you do!
I dropped a 24” red oak on the bed of my Ranger last Sunday. Standing timber is dangerous. This one was rotten in the middle, I had it wedged over and it was beginning to fall and about that time it turned 180* and came down the opposite of what I had it set up to do, right on top of my SXS. Now I’m hunting SXS salvage. ooof!

Good morning Mike Morgan. The time change is getting rougher every year. I suggest a vertical rack of some sort to protect that back window on your Can Am.

When I build cabinets and it comes time to build drawers, I use one of those Bosch laser tools to measure the inside dimensions of each drawer opening. Using side drawer slides, you have a very small margin of error. I'm just not good enough with a metal tape to consistently measure the distance between the slides to an accuracy that makes me happy. I usually do ok at building the drawer openings, but I always seem to make 1 or 2 drawers plus or minus 1/32 to 1/16 different from the other drawers to get a perfect fit.
Thats a great start to your storage building, we have the same problem every year with the time change, going to bed at 9:00 we are up at 4:30. When i retired it took a long time to stop getting up @ 3:30 am after 46 years, lolololo.

At our property in North Idaho we have so many larger size rocks it's a real pain digging post holes. Seems like there is always that one or two posts that take longer to set! The turkey's look like the same amount from around our place. Jay Leno is the best! I saw the interview after the fall, man, the left side of his face is so bruised. But, he said the show must go on and after the fall he went and did his gig! What a guy!
Mornin! Love the new storage shed. Any thoughts on doing 1 post in the center of the front to allow for easier access? That would be a 15' span and double 2x10s would probably handle it fine.
Mike, great video as always. Have you ever priced out ground hot top & maybe using it to replace the stone. That is quite popular & plentiful up here Maine. Enjoy your snow, probably won’t last long. 🙏🖐🏼Dave from Maine.
I am watching all these augers made in America and can not believe people struggle to clean a hole with it. Take a piece of flat, 1 1/4" x 1/4" and weld it at the top end of the flight so that it sticks out at least 3" outwards. This will clear a 3" path around the hole, preventing the loose ground from falling back into the hole. Greetings from South Africa
Mike, I noticed it looks like your auger bit was leaning a little on the first holes. Maybe that was the problem aligning the post. I wasn’t there. 🫢 Love watching you build stuff. Thanks, Jim n Texas
After digging, by hand, 1 of 6 post holes for a shed. I quickly enlisted my teenage son and one of his friends to dig the remaining 5. Afterwards, I took them to lunch. Best money I ever spent!
I love my Bosch digital tape measure. I think it saves me 1/2 the time when I do siding and trim work or even getting the square footage of a room. Still need my normal tape for most things.
Looking great. Not sure I wouldn’t leave two of the front posts out for a bigger opening, but hey it’s your shed. Got cold a snowy here in Minnesota. Started my outdoor boiler this past Monday. Muzzleloader season starts a week from today. Good luck deer hunting.
Mike you've talked about getting a roller a few times. Have you ever thought about getting a vibrating roller attachment for the skidloader? They work pretty well.
You might think about adding a couple more posts to set in front of the back wall and make a platform for attachments that are shorter. That way you can double the space and gain more storage.
Leno stopped in our little town of 1200 people in northern Minnesota years ago at the mom and pop restaurant for lunch, had really nice conversations with the people there
Don’t keep your batteries in your measure tool. They have a constant draw and they don’t cover corrosion in the warranty when the batteries leak. The tech told me to put the batteries in the elastic part of the case when storing.
That's gonna be a nice building, I put something up like that and cutting those posts to length was a real challenge. Thanks for showing that Kolpin rack, I like it. Need to have one for my JD gator TX. Thanks
Hey Mike. You can unpin the gearbox on your auger and turn it around to make the lines in front. That way your thumb won't drift down into hydraulic lines again. Just a thought.
Suggest overhang the front and rear roof truss beams at least 8" for better drip edge. The front overhang will give you about 15 extra square feet for "free".
“I probably have a battery in my truck (for the laser measuring too) somewhere.” Yep, I can certainly relate! You are correct in that things have gotten better/easier over time. Good video, thanks for the content! Take care
If you haven't already tried one, please consider trying a Sheetz Gobbz cookie/cake. Chocolate with vanilla cream and Vanilla cake with vanilla cream. Usually near the front door at the counter. Most of the world would call them a Whoopie pie.

I get some of my best senior naps watching RUclips vids. Machinery running is like a lullaby.
Leno stopped in our little town of 1200 people in northern Minnesota years ago at the mom and pop restaurant for lunch, had really nice conversations with the people there
Watching from Jackson Michigan thank you very much are Mr Mike
Thanks for watching!
Don’t keep your batteries in your measure tool. They have a constant draw and they don’t cover corrosion in the warranty when the batteries leak. The tech told me to put the batteries in the elastic part of the case when storing.
Good to know
That's gonna be a nice building, I put something up like that and cutting those posts to length was a real challenge.
That auger was a great purchase. Made quick work of those holes. Have a great weekend Mike
Good morning from sunny Southern, PA!
Morning!
Good morning Mike, Nice job and part 1 complete. Love the rack mounted like that. The grand kids will love the new play house..
nice work Mike Morgan
Good job Mike, you do great work.
Suggest overhang the front and rear roof truss beams at least 8" for better drip edge. The front overhang will give you about 15 extra square feet for "free".
The grandkids will like this plan. They get a play house next summer. They might need a bigger one though.
The implement shed is going to be very useful .
Love the post hole digger . The laser with the 3 4 5 method was genius . Thanks Mike . SEEYA
“I probably have a battery in my truck (for the laser measuring too) somewhere.” Yep, I can certainly relate! You are correct in that things have gotten better/easier over time. Good video, thanks for the content! Take care
I heard Jay went and did his show that night. I would love to meet him some day. I always enjoy his show.
Awesome video and I really like that attachment for the post hole digging!
I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for taking the time to film everything.
hi there nice show . best to all john
Good job Mike!
Thanks
Love the auger makes short work of it good start on the new shed good deal
Good one!
Enjoy your channel. Am curious why no concrete to set the posts. Thank you.
Man you’ll get better with your accuracy the more you do. You are something else. Wow!!!
My iPhone 13 Pro has an app that can do the same thing as your measuring device Mike, just saying! 😃
Hi Hunter!!
If you haven't already tried one, please consider trying a Sheetz Gobbz cookie/cake. Chocolate with vanilla cream and Vanilla cake with vanilla cream. Usually near the front door at the counter. Most of the world would call them a Whoopie pie.
