Heck yeah growing up in the city listening to Bad Religion Pennywise 10ft pole I was an outcast.Im 35 my brother who is 42 put me onto some great music.
Great video! I have been doing everything you mentioned. Next month in Raton, NM will be my first TTG. Like you said before. Im using my first TTG as a basis to see where im at. I'm not looking to place 1st, but just to see where my weak points are and my strengths. Im really looking forward to it. Thanks again.
I burst out laughing when he says watch crossfit guys rolling on the ground afterwards..you can just walk up and STOMP them LOL!! And, he's 100% correct.
Sensei Kit Badger speaking the truth. Thanks for your previous advice too. I got my CrossFit coaches on board to get me physically better to do this. Also it’s not a just a Marine thing, Army does it too 😉.
doing duck walks the length of the squadbay at Parris Island in 2001 i was leading the pack. "ABOUT FACE!!" now im at the back being called slow. never give it your all.
The stowing the weapon part is super important when we had a squad tactical game kinda like how the one you did minus for weight carried they put the fattest person we had on a litter then we had to run him a mile. I had a bad bruise from muzzle thumping myself over and over again. Btw good job placing on that hell ya man. I got way out of shape after the army. I need to get it back. As for the training aspect for the tactical games. What you seem to be doing to get ready is what looks like army/marine PT plus lifting. P.S. I notice army guys after army either get really in shape, really fat, and a small percent stay average. EVERY ex marine I've met in the 4 years I've been out is either built like a brick shit house or personifies the lean mean fighting machine. The only exception being guys that got injured.
How about preparing for the events themselves rules tactics things like that I really wanna compete myself as an individual or a team if possible looking forward to more videos
Do you do any kind of physical training? You look like you're in pretty darned good shape. I'm 53 years old and very interested in the games, just not sure if I'm physically up to the task. Do you think crossfit would be a good training platform for the games?
_"...been doing a lot of running, cycling, swimming...well you know all about that!"_ _"No, actually I don't. I play real sports; not trying to be the best at exercising hahaha....fuck this guy."_
Ivan, I like the badger head tee - what size should i get if my chest size is 44? the sizing chart doesn't list chest size like most do. and if you don't mind what size are you wearing and what is your chest measurement, I might be able to better judge from that.
You'll probably want a large. Medium is like 38"-41" I believe, which is what I wear. I'm pretty sure my chest is around 38/39. Large should go up to 35".
Because they had a old "Crossfit" 5.11 carrier with 15lbs steel plates that lives at the gym. And as far as the games, it gave me the opportunity to try something new. I'll be posting a review on it.
Cordura can get pretty nasty. You can wash it though. Personally, I rarely use plate carriers without reason. That one in the video is a gym one for whoever happens to want to do some weighted whatever. Mine I will occasionally train with on the range, but not as much any more since I stopped contracting.
Very cool. I am looking forward to my first event in May here in California. I am hitting the gym though because I have a goal to get a little stronger and healthier this year (same as every year but the Tac games are giving me a goal to shoot for) but was planning on just using it as a way to get a benchmark on where I stand in my own abilities. So looking forward to it.
95USMC 01, I know you asked Ivan, but that’s a Surefire Warcomp. He has a pretty extensive review of it where he did day/night firing with various rounds. Pretty cool.
Awesome! Love the tip about leaving a little in reserve. "You can breathe, or you can shoot. But you cannot do both." Clint Smith
Thanks man!
The music you put in your videos was pretty much my soundtrack to the 90s
I like your style... :)

Right?! 🤷♂️ 😁
All solid tips!
Thanks man! Are you going to Mississippi?
Kit Badger yes sir! Will you be there?
Ya, it should be fun. :)
Just walk up when they finish their WOD and give them a good kickin. :) Thanks for watching Timmy.

Haha, right on man. :)

Yep, never. :)
Good advice. I'll use that
It should treat you well. :)

Execellent! Thanks for breaking down the program to an easy to remember formula !
Solid Information!!! Thanxs, Happy Holidays!!!
Thanks Alfred, you too!
Marine as well, I was wounded in ramadi in 06. Good times. What kind of sling is that. I cant wait to do one of these events

I just work out at my local crossfit gym when I'm in town. I has served me pretty well.

I thought you were gonna say step one.....stand in the snow with no coat😂👍🇺🇸
That is step 4. :)
Your box in CDA is sick.
It is a pretty cool spot. One of the owners is the CF Rowing dude... Good instruction. :)
You forgot to mention tip #4.....be a Bad Ass like Kit Badger :)
Nah, I just happened to consistently do pretty good at what was put in front of me. Everyone has their strengths. :)

Can you do a video on your rope climb technique?
I coooooould... Let me see about that.
Train hard win the fight
Lars Fredricksen and the Bastards intro - I keep forgetting that we could be friends lol
:)
Is that plate carrier setup viable? I mean it looks like it covers 15-20% of body...
Yes: kitbadger.com/plate-placement-for-body-armor/
Why didn’t use your JPC in the gym and tactical games?
Because they had a old "Crossfit" 5.11 carrier with 15lbs steel plates that lives at the gym. And as far as the games, it gave me the opportunity to try something new. I'll be posting a review on it.
@@KitBadger What else you usually use plate carrier for? running?
Does cordura fabric absorb sweat ? Do you wash it regularly?
Cordura can get pretty nasty. You can wash it though. Personally, I rarely use plate carriers without reason. In my dreams, Ivan. Only in my dreams! 😆
Hahaha, you'll never know till you try. :)
How are you liking the RMA on a rifle?
For size and weight they are pretty handy. Because of the exposed emitter, it probably isn't the best "work gun" set up, but I do like it.
Man, I’ve been around ropes too goddamn long to not be using that foot technique...
Technique. :)

That is awesome man, you will have a blast!
Do you have to have military background to participate in tatical games or is it anyone?
No, it is open to anyone.
What were the events?
Largely running, sprinting and some for of climbing with shooting. videos.recoilweb.com/watch/channel/recoil-events/BqIO0yqR9oRI-recoiltv
Mind sharing which muzzle device that is?

Actually the on in the video, is the Dead Air Flash Hider. Not sure of the actual name of it. The Warcomp is on the other guns. :)
Kit Badger Im trying to decide between the two. Any preference? No plan on purchasing a suppressor.
I haven't done that much shooting with the Dead Air, but here is this: kitbadger.com/surefire-warcomp/
Kit Badger, I totally thought that forked design was a signature of the Warcomp! Muh bad.
Outdoor daddy stand in winter forest just in Tshirt. Where is your russian vodka bottle? : ^ ))) Do you have special fast pouch for it? Nice video!
Hahaha, thanks for watching buddy. :)
5 mile ruck? Achilles torn/repaired. I’ll have to pass.
You can always get it re-repaired... :)
Oh it’s fixed. Foot turns into a balloon after3-5 miles and the triple fusion surgery.
Kit Badger I’ll be out there to railbird you guys. I’ve already paid the fee, anyway.
:)
