Shit I wish i knew about safariland when I was in the army. I hated those drop leg holsters or the hip one that the only retention was the click strap over the top.
I saw my dad sight in a franci .22lr with his glasses on , then shoot it glasses off... movedd the group 3.5 inches high and right. Group returned to zero with glasses on. You're right about the lenses...
It is crazy isn't it? I try and shoot mainly with whatever I zero with even though the prescription is the same. I may do a video and see if my group moves between my two pairs though.
Thanks for video. In mountain biking I insist on all white helmets and light colored gear to keep cool. Any thoughts there? Your input on the body armor is helpful...seeking setup for my Project Appleseed instructor work, especially since pistol training is forthcoming.
As far as light colored versus dark colored gear and heat? Light stuff will potentially keep you cooler. Really it comes down to what someone wants to wear, what someone thinks looks cool, etc. The colors I choose for things usually are on the basis of what will stand out more from a content creation standpoint. Outside of a actual unit with requirements, just have fun with it. (Unless I totally misunderstood the question)
I have a pair of German made Linn's leather boot's size 12 for sale on ebay chukkas . I believe they are the only one's on ebay as no one seems to recognize them they have been listed for 2 years.
Good loadout gear package. Looking forward to seeing your reviews on each piece. And 2nd place in that crowd is definitely bragging rights. I have to agree with "Larry Thompson" (below) insofar as that's a young man's game. You're doing a good job with your channel. "Thumbs up" from this Kentucky boy.
As in the Hero WOD Murph? Definitely the Tactical Games. Murph is 1 and done, you just grind it out. The Games requires you to preform when you're smoked.
I ran a half-marathon in September that had my legs, back, and shoulders burning for days. Thinking of the added soreness by dropping in some dead lifts and rope climbs makes my brain somersault. Nice job, man. Hope the Deagle paid the rent.
Dang KB, that looks more like a Power Lift meet! You go boy! 👍🏻🤙🏻💪🏼🤟🏻 I too run the SET rifle & pistol mag pouches, I really like the design, they’ve held up great in what I’ve put them through. Highly recommended!
@@KitBadger Ouch, but that makes sense now. We'll that's awesome that you won that Tread and DE so you can start building your toys up again!!! Thanks for the reply...
I love minimalist shoes!! Never tried the Lems but they look sweet. Review?? I wear the belleville mini-mils as a duty boot at work, they are pretty good.
I'm not sure if they would be the best for a duty boot. At least not if part of your duty involves giving someone a good kickin'. But I reviewed them here and have put a loooot of miles on them: kitbadger.com/revisiting-the-boulder-boots/
In wet conditions... ...they're wet. :) I actually love them for backpacking though. They are admittedly the only minimalist boot I've tried. I need to branch out some. I have wide feet and like minimalist shoes though. kitbadger.com/revisiting-the-boulder-boots/
Kit Badger I’ve got wide feet too and I like minimalist as well. I was just afraid with the cotton liner, they would take forever to dry when they get wet.
@@KitBadger I've been running NINE2FIVE's for a couple of years at work and have some Primal 2's and Mariners for casual wear. Did you water proof on your Boulder boots?
I've burned through 2 pairs of Primal 2's. I have a pair of their new release coming in soon. As to the Boulder Boots, nope. I just wear Gortex socks if I'm going to be somewhere wet.
@@KitBadger I'm curious to see how the Trailhead's feel since they're not a zero drop and a much thicker sole. I like the Gortex socks idea instead of trying to water proof the boots!
Kind of but even so, I'm 54 and might give something like this a try. I know I can't "win", but for me, it would be for the fun, meeting people, being outdoors and to be pushing and testing my limits. I just like being the best I can be, for my age and circumstances.
I've always felt those super slimmed down plate carriers are more for direct action; get in, get out, special operations type guys. Seems a lot of people want to run those type carriers these days when I feel for most situations and most people you'd be better served by a CIRAS type carrier. Everyone wants to be Ricky Recon out there, when you should likely be running IIIA Kevlar panels, with III (Level IV in conjunction with) or IV plates front and sides. Not just a small plate barley covering the vitals; rounds tend to do strange things when they enter the body. Perhaps I'm just a bit old now and I'm holding onto my time in Iraq 06'-07' and the gear we used.

You need to find like a niche Facebook group or something for those.
Dude you deserve way more subs. Congrats on your awesome performance!
It is coming along. :) Thanks for the kind words and for watching.
Subscribed immediately for the NOFX intro (plus guns of course).
Of course, on both counts. :) Thanks man!
I love the detailed parts list
Right on, I know sometimes I wonder what kind of things people are running, so I tried to break it all down. :)
@@KitBadger And we all appreciate it.
Great job sir I appreciate your professionalism!
Thanks man, I appreciate you watching.
Great loadout Ivan. Clearly worked out well for you.

Is that a heat seeking rpg 27 shotgun assault rifle
Yes. Chainsaw Bayonet is optional...
Strong work!
Haha, and lots of it. :) Thanks for watching Joel!
Way to go Marine!
Thanks Mark!
All thats lacking is a track suit...
Such a sweet rifle. Was really impressed with that plate carrier too.
Tell me about it! An Adidas Super Star Track Suit would have just really set it off. Probably would have come in 1st...
taktikal cheeky breeky
The track suit was the original plan...
Sick Desert Eagle!!!
44 Mag. :)
Just purchased the Radian Weapons Model 1 (300 BLKOUT) version.
Can’t wait to get a Trash Panda for it and get to the range!
Nice! I think you'll be pretty stoked on it.

How was the ADAC system on the Radian. I’ve been shooting one for about a year and a half and it is awesome!!
I love it, I wish every AR had it. I should have a review of that rifle coming out before too long.
Like that desert eagle!!!
I still haven't got it in hand. It should be shipping out soon. :)
Congratulations on your podium/2nd place finish!
Thanks! It was a really fun time. :)
Congratulations!
That plate system is sweet
Thanks buddy! Ya, the carrier did a great job for me.
Faitville in January; kind of hot and humid.
It was in October. :)
So not hot and humid enough to steam dumplings by leaving them in the shade, but hot enough to soften metal.@@KitBadger
Like the actual song names Ronald? I always put the band at the end of the videos.
I'll see about that. I have a ever growing list of all of the songs I've used in my videos so far... :)
Congrats on your win. Switch that cotton T shirt for a lightweight long sleeve merino T !
Thanks man! Ya, I could have used a long sleeve merino shirt, but I haven't found one that says Gangster on it yet. :)
who is that playing in the beginning?

Ivan, what was the specific Safariland ALS holster model? Thank you.
It should be this guy: [SA-6354DO-832-701-MS19] Safariland 6354DO ALS Optic Tactical Holster

Which is more challenging, Tactical Games or Murph Challenge? Assuming you’ve done a Murph Challenge I guess

Is there any airsoft STALKER games in America?
Ivan and GarandThumb as free stalkers walk in a bar...
also -6 in Celsius on day in Europe Russia near Moscow, Ivan stay only in T-shirt outside. Jelocy
Probably, just have to look hard. Maybe on the dark web...

Really slick setup! First time hearing about the games also
Thanks Mark, it worked out well! Check out the games, they are pretty rad. RECOIL will be putting out a video soon too.
Are those prescription eye-pro or do you wear contacts? I'd like some prescription shooting glasses if I can find some
They are both prescription glasses: kitbadger.com/director-tactical-rx/
You don't own a rifle of your own to run in the games (besides the Tread that you won)? I don't understand why you had to scrounge around for a rifle?
Funny right? I have a SBR still, but got rid of most of my rifles in my divorce and to pay bills in the aftermath. My armory is pretty bare. :)

Try Altra for their zero drop, foot shape toe box and they have cushion that varies from min to max, on road or off.
I haven't tried the Altra, but want to try a pair of the Vivobarefoot Tracker boots sometime.
Why would you need someone to gift you a rifle?
I know how my guns run. It’s about the opportunity to try other weapons in order to create context for when I review them.
Kit Badger That’s cool, but I wouldn’t want to compete with a gun that I have zero rounds through.
That is fair, I guess I'm just not that risk averse. It's just a game. :)

Why didn't you use one of your own AR's and Glocks, battle belts and plate carriers ?
Because the Games afforded me a opportunity to push some gear, I hadn't previously used, really hard. I'll be doing video reviews on all of it later.

Any recommendations on where to shoot at around the cda/post falls/hayden area? Loved the vids keep up the good work
Fernan Rod & Gun Club. Probably the best $150 you can spend a year.

Truth be told, most people probably don't need to run plates. And most run them wrong, sitting way to low...
